After going out to wash up, Dugu Qianye returned to find that everyone had awoken, so she prepared breakfast for everyone. After eating, they set off on their journey. So, she agreed to journey together.

Dugu Qianye called out Lan Mei because they were in a hurry, hence Zi Xiao and the rest also rode on Lan Mei’s back.

"Qianye, your Spiritual Beast really makes people envious," Qie Yue said.

"If you take a liking to that Spiritual Beast, let me know, and I’ll tame it for you," Dugu Qianye said with a smile.

"Great, haha, thank you in advance," Qie Yue replied cheerfully.

"I want one too," said Zi Xiao. To his irritation, Ci Hun cursed loudly in the Spiritual Beast Space.

"Me too," Hei Zi chimed in, shaking his iron fan.

Dugu Qianye, made speechless by their pitiful gazes, said, "Alright."

After a moment’s thought, she took out a Jade Bottle from her ring and handed it to Zi Xiao, saying, "Eat this."

Zi Xiao took it and asked, "Is it bitter?"

"It’s sweet," Dugu Qianye replied.

"That’s good," Zi Xiao then poured out an Elixir and ate it.

After flying for about a day, Dugu Qianye and her group finally left the no-fly zone, but because Lan Mei was fast, it continued to carry everyone.

Along the way, she encountered several Disciples from Aristocratic Families. She informed them about the current situation and advised them to be careful. They thanked her and said they were going to look for others.

Dugu Qianye and the others continued flying westward. Upon reaching the summit of a mountain, they suddenly noticed something strange and had Lan Mei land on the mountaintop.

"Master, there’s an oppressive darkness," Lan Mei said.

Dugu Qianye nodded. She also had that feeling, as if a thick cloud of darkness had enveloped her heart, making it suffocating.

Hei Zi and the others, seasoned warriors that they were, did not express surprise at the sudden occurrence, but looked around vigilantly instead.

"Hehe, such sensitive children," a voice sounded. They looked all around but could not see anyone.

"Too bad you’re going to die here today," the voice continued.

"Stop hiding if you’re so great, come out and show yourself!" Qie Yue shouted into the air.

"Ha ha, the young man sure has a temper," the person replied, "Since you are so eager to see me, I shall satisfy your wish. After all, I adore men like you the most!"

A shadow emerged in the air, laughing heartily while looking down at the four anxious people below.

Dugu Qianye frowned slightly as she watched the figure slowly materializing in the air. These were of the same kind as the ones they had encountered yesterday!

"Tsch, hurry up and finish them," Charm appeared beside Tsch and said.

"Yes, my lord," Tsch replied. Then addressing Dugu Qianye and her group said, "Such beautiful women must taste delicious. I can’t wait."

"If you want to eat me, you’ll have to see if you can stomach it!" Dugu Qianye retorted.

"Oh? Heh heh, I know you have many Spiritual Beasts," Tsch laughed, "I’m not so foolish as to fight you one-on-one. Come out, my darlings."

Countless dark shadows appeared all around Dugu Qianye and his three companions, enveloping them tightly, the sky above was also oppressively dark.

"It seems we’ve met a formidable enemy!" Zi Xiao said.

"I’m claustrophobic, and seeing all this gives me the creeps." Hei Zi’s fan stopped fluttering.

"There’s no other way." Qie Yue shrugged.

"Let’s go," Dugu Qianye said.

If there were no way out, they had to fight to make one!

The four each took a direction, this way they needn’t fear being ambushed from behind, and could concentrate on confronting the foes ahead.

Nevertheless, the persistence of these adversaries, who seemed unable to die, had them expending a great deal of energy in vain.

Even though their spiritual power attacks wiped out swathes at a time, the dark shadows would disperse only to quickly regather. They were using up a lot of spiritual power, while the enemy seemed to suffer no loss at all.

Before long, Dugu Qianye and his companions noticed the ground beneath their feet stirring as if something was about to emerge. Soon after, skeletons began to crawl out from the earth.

Lan Mei, who had been dealing with the dark shadows above, suddenly saw the skeletons emerging from the ground and transmitted a message to Dugu Qianye, "Master, they’ve summoned skeleton soldiers."

Dugu Qianye turned into a fire dragon, incinerating the dark shadows in front of her, discovering that only a fire attack could truly scatter these shadows. It was a pity that, apart from her, the others did not command fire spiritual power.

Realizing that fire attacks were effective, Dugu Qianye consecutively summoned four fire dragons, each attacking the dark shadows in four different directions.

Even when burnt away, these dark shadows merely transformed into black mist and, unlike other spiritual beasts or humans, emitted no scent of burning flesh.

The unburnt dark shadows continued launching attacks of black mist at them, and Qie Yue and the others had no choice but to form shields from spiritual power to fend them off as best they could.

Dugu Qianye called out all her fire spiritual beasts, Xiaohuo and Liehuo, who unleashed a series of fire attacks against the shadows, providing much relief for Qie Yue and the others.

"These things are too tenacious," Qie Yue said, breathless with relief.

"Those in the back are skeletons, right?" Just as they had dealt with a large number of dark shadows, Hei Zi looked toward the encroaching skeleton soldiers and said.

"Shit!" Qie Yue couldn’t help but curse loudly.

Charm watched the skeleton soldiers below and laughed, "Those are merely the lowest of demons. Even if they die, I can create many more. Now, let me show you the might of my skeleton army, haha!"

The skeletons standing outside seemed to receive a signal and advanced in unison towards Dugu Qianye and her group.

While Xiaohuo and the others were busy dealing with the endless emergence of dark shadows, Dugu Qianye took out Charm, then sat down cross-legged. Zi Xiao and the others thought she might be in trouble and turned to look, only to realize she had taken out an ancient zither!

"Zing!" With a pluck of the strings, Dugu Qianye sent out a sound wave that broke the advancing skeletons into pieces.

"Yikes! So powerful!"

Qie Yue, having turned to see if Dugu Qianye was in trouble, narrowly missed being ambushed by a skeleton from behind, blown away by the sound wave. Coming back to his senses, he couldn’t help but be astounded.

"What kind of attack is that?" Charm, watching Dugu Qianye play the zither and wreak havoc upon his skeleton soldiers, felt a twinge of surprise.
