MIGHT AS WELL BE OP
Chapter 571 - 571: Zero

Anthony wasn't surprised by the Forsaken Cult having a leader with such power. After all, would they have survived this long without sufficient power backing them? He was simply asking a question to confirm.

"But aren't the Supreme Monarchs moving against the Demon Monarchs at this moment?" he asked, his tone calm but curious.

"The Supreme Monarchs didn't tell us everything. This is simply all that we know," Warlord Raelith stated, his voice carrying a slight edge of caution.

'It seems I would have to ask Mother whenever she returns,' Anthony thought. But at the same time, he felt like he might forget since he didn't really care much about the Forsaken Cult in the first place.

"Warlord Brontagar and Warlord Raelith will be present on this mission," Warlord Aerenya spoke, her voice steady and confident.

Anthony's gaze turned to her as he replied, "Aren't you Warlords meant to be here in case the demons invade?"

"The chances of that happening are almost zero. But I understand your view. Still, Major Anthony, you underestimate me. I alone can hold down the fort. You may not know this, but of the Warlords, I remain the strongest," Warlord Aerenya replied with a confident smile.

Anthony could feel the pride radiating from her voice as she declared herself the strongest among the three of them. Seeing the Warlord Titan and the katana obsessed Warlord not even trying to deny it, he simply accepted it as fact.

'It seems they've both lost so many times at her hands,' Anthony thought with a subtle mental smirk.

'But can a single Warlord defend the base?' he wondered, briefly skeptical. 'Well, whatever. Not my problem,' Anthony concluded in his thoughts.

"It seems two people on the Warlords' level will be present," Anthony spoke aloud, his voice firm.

A smile appeared on Warlord Raelith's lips as he responded, "Indeed. But they aren't two. From the intel the First Supreme Monarch provided, there are four of them: a Titan, a Human, a Werewolf, and a Vampire."

Anthony's gaze landed on the red and black katana hanging on Warlord Raelith's waist. It was already trembling slightly, as though it was eager and ready for the bloodshed to come.

"You have a week for you and your team to prepare everything you need. After that, the next time we meet will be after the fall of the Forsaken Cult," Warlord Aerenya said.

"Good luck on your mission, Major Anthony," Warlord Raelith added.

"Thank you, Warlords," Anthony responded respectfully. With that, he turned and stepped out of the room, the door shutting softly behind him.

With a single thought, he vanished from his location and reappeared at his room door. With a soft push, the door creaked open, and he stepped inside.

He saw Vega simply sitting with her phone in hand. "Did Veronica leave already?" he asked as he sat beside her.

"Her boyfriend called her, so she had to leave," Vega replied casually.

"Didn't they just see each other a few hours ago?" Anthony asked with a sigh, shaking his head slightly.

"Tsk... Those two are so addicted to each other that I felt like a third wheel," Vega replied with a roll of her eyes.

"Well, now you have a boyfriend to be addicted to. You don't have to be anyone's third wheel anymore," Anthony stated as he gently raised her palm and kissed it affectionately.

"Forget about Veronica. How was your meeting with the Warlords?" Vega asked, her tone shifting to seriousness.

"Well, you are finally getting to participate in a huge event," Anthony spoke with a small smile.

Vega paused for a moment, then smiled in return. "I'm all ears."

Anthony remained quiet for a few moments, as though letting the suspense rise deliberately, then he spoke. "This time, it's a war against the Forsaken Cult."

He then proceeded to explain the mission details he had received from the Warlords in a calm yet thorough manner.

Vega couldn't help but whistle in astonishment as she spoke. "I know I joked about hoping your next mission would turn into a full-out war, but who would have thought I'd be correct?"

Anthony didn't say anything and just shook his head in response.

"Who would've thought the Forsaken Cult was hiding at the Abandoned Desert of Ruins? I had thought maybe they would be hiding in a secret realm or something," Vega continued thoughtfully.

"You're not the only one. I thought the same thing. But it seems the Forsaken Cult must have guessed hiding in plain sight was the best tactic," Anthony added, arms crossed.

"How long do we have to prepare?" Vega asked.

"A week. After that, we depart with the team," Anthony replied firmly.

Vega nodded in understanding as she spoke. "Although the first part of the mission will be boring since we only have to open portals for the all-out battle... but it doesn't matter. The second half will make it all the more interesting."

"Sigh... I wonder between me and battle who you love more," Anthony muttered with an exaggerated sigh, pretending to be heartbroken.

Hearing Anthony's words, Vega simply ignored him, not bothering to give a reply.

"But there's something else, isn't there?" Vega stated, her voice growing more thoughtful.

"Is there anything missing?" Anthony murmured as he suddenly fell into thought.

"What about the Forsaken Cult's bases scattered across the entire planet, within all Domains? If we destroy only the headquarters, the bases will simply regroup and make the Forsaken Cult even stronger than before," Vega stated, narrowing her eyes as she voiced the concern.

"Ohh, that. The Warlords also have the location of these scattered bases. They'll be sending the information to every guild and establishment across the Domains for them to handle. The Head of each Domain will be notified as well, in case they want to personally move out and act," Anthony explained, recalling the details he had discussed with the Warlords earlier.

"Okay then. A week it is," Vega said with a determined nod.

"Also, there's something I have to tell you," Anthony spoke up, his expression turning a bit more serious.

Vega turned to him and asked with narrowed eyes, "Did you already cheat?"

Anthony's thoughts paused in disbelief. "Why is your imagination already running wild?"

"Ahem… I was only asking an innocent question," Vega replied, letting out an awkward cough as she tried to play it off.

"There was nothing innocent about that. I'm hurt you would even think that," Anthony said dramatically, placing his hand over his chest as if wounded.

"What did you want to tell me then?" Vega sighed as she spoke, amused by his theatrics.

"I was simply going to say that I have to disappear for a week because I need to train before the mission begins," Anthony replied with a shrug.
