Mercenary’s War
Chapter 930 - 930 920 Unbearable Pain

930: Chapter 920: Unbearable Pain 930: Chapter 920: Unbearable Pain Among the six people on the truck, three followed Big Beard’s leader and left, leaving three behind.

Gao Yang noted that besides them and another mercenary group member, about twenty more big-bearded men and seven pickup trucks remained in the factory.

Gao Yang wasn’t sure how much cargo they needed to escort away, but the remaining people ignored them, busily moving boxes down from the truck and transferring them onto the pickups.

After loading three boxes, one pickup left immediately, and the remaining boxes had been moved to the rear of the truck.

It seemed that these remaining boxes with red markings were heavier than the original ones; four men could move the original boxes, but it was very strenuous for them to lift these longer ones, almost three meters long.

The boxes were successively moved down, and with the departure of the pickups, only six boxes remained on the truck, and only seven people were left to handle them.

Gao Yang furrowed his brow; he had been informed that he was to continue with the escort mission, but no one had told him what exactly they were supposed to deliver, and it seemed they were being ignored.

Watching the pickups leaving one by one, and seeing that another mercenary group tasked with transporting cargo to Aleppo didn’t make any moves either, made Gao Yang very puzzled and sensed that something was amiss.

Gao Yang said to another member of the mercenary group about five meters away, “It seems there’s no more cargo here that needs your delivery.”

Hearing Gao Yang speak, a man smiled and replied, “It’s nothing; the cargo we’re supposed to deliver isn’t here, so we just need someone to handle everything and then tell us what and where to deliver.”

Gao Yang had spoken to this man through the walkie-talkie before.

Gao Yang felt that something was off, but it seemed there was nothing particularly alarming.

If anyone planned to kill them, the number of people in the factory wasn’t enough, unless the other mercenary group planned to engage them at close range.

However, just as Gao Yang observed around and felt no immediate fatal threat, the man talking to him waved and said to his people, “Let’s go, we should be leaving now.”

The other mercenary group turned and left.

This departure felt wrong.

All the guns of the other mercenary group were off the safety lock, which wasn’t strange; it’s normal for mercenaries lacking a sense of security in unfamiliar terrains to be ready to fire at all times, and Gao Yang’s team was always ready to fire.

However, Gao Yang felt it was abnormal for a mercenary group familiar with the local terrain and the Rebel Army to be on such high alert, carrying loaded and unlocked weapons.

Gao Yang quickly scanned the surroundings; three people on the truck were dragging boxes, four people under the truck were waiting to receive them, the three men who had come to escort the truck and left, and Mulafa taking turns driving, appearing to be Syrians, two Pakistanis carrying sawed-off rifles stood diagonally opposite the rear of the truck, not planning to help move the boxes.

The older Pakistani looked peculiar, a face Gao Yang was familiar with—the expression of reluctance yet obligation to do something.

Gao Yang felt strongly that something was amiss and immediately shouted to the departing mercenaries, “Stop!”

Gao Yang’s shout caused the few people handling the boxes to tense up.

They were receiving a box pushed out from the van; after Gao Yang’s shout, two of the four men under the truck instinctively stopped handling the box and quickly turned, grabbing their rifles and looking toward Gao Yang.

The box fell to the ground, breaking immediately, and a rocket fell out from the box.

Just then, the departing mercenaries didn’t stop, walking away leisurely while the mercenary leader at the back turned, smiled at Gao Yang, and said, “Buddy, what’s up?”

Gao Yang held a shotgun, not aiming it, but he was sure he could fire before anyone else.

Gao Yang didn’t want to aim a gun directly at someone to avoid escalating possibly safe circumstances into a shootout.

But neither did he want to let the eerie situation escalate out of control.

Seeing that the mercenaries were about to leave the factory door, he shouted loudly, “Stop!”

Just then, Bruce, seeing the fallen rocket, exclaimed with a trembling voice, “My God, Sarin!”

Gao Yang felt a chill.

Sarin, a chemical weapon.

Indeed, the cargo Gao Yang and his team were transporting included not only money and rockets but also chemical weapons.

The other mercenary group’s leader spread his arms, smiling, “Buddy, don’t be nervous, no one here means harm.

It’s just some cargo, and it doesn’t concern us, right?”

Gao Yang looked through the factory door, seeing the other mercenaries quickly disappearing on both sides of the factory after leaving.

Firing didn’t seem like a good choice since there were still at least a hundred people outside, but it seemed he had no other choice.

Direct firing, however, would definitely push the situation into an uncontrollable shootout.

The Satan Mercenaries didn’t immediately raise their weapons, but Gao Yang, hearing the breathing from behind, knew they were prepared to fire.

Gao Yang still held onto a sliver of hope, although he already considered the situation irredeemable and truly had only that thread of hope left.

But he decided not to act rashly.

He was confident he could kill everyone left in the factory instantly with the Satan Mercenary Corps’ shooting speed.

However, even if he killed everyone inside the factory now, it wouldn’t be of much use.

At that moment, the leader of another mercenary group continued, smiling, “Pal, there’s something I thought I wouldn’t have the chance to tell you, but your alertness is too high.

So now I have a chance to tell you.

My name is Stephen Hamilton, that’s my real name, but people like to call me Rattlesnake.

Also, we come from Iron Madonna.”

Gao Yang raised his gun and fired at Stephen, because when Stephen mentioned Iron Madonna, an alarm went off in Gao Yang’s mind.

As he fell to the ground, he saw a flash of light from a high spot outside the factory.

When Gao saw the light, he had already tumbled to the ground.

Gao fired a shotgun at Stephen.

Stephen also fell to the side as he mentioned Iron Madonna.

Although Gao fired during the falling process, the bullet still hit Stephen in the side ribs, but he was unable to blow Stephen’s head off during the fall, because Stephen’s dodging movement was also quick and effective.

As Gao fired, three men with sawed-off rifle stocks instantly raised their guns and sprayed bullets.

After Gao fell, he had no chance to fire at Stephen again.

He had to roll as the bullets continuously hit the ground around him, causing cement fragments to fly.

The sawed-off rifle stocks and the removed aiming fixtures facilitated quicker drawing of the guns, especially for suddenly pulling them from within robes and firing at a crowd to achieve a surprise attack.

But the shooting speed of Satan’s men was even faster.

By just lowering the muzzles of their guns, which were pointed upwards, they fired at the three men who had suddenly begun shooting.

With just three bursts, they exploded their heads.

Cui Bo knelt on one knee and fired at a sniper continuously shooting from outside the factory, then he rescued Gao who had to dart around on the ground to avoid the sniper’s bullets.

Andy He and Lucica sprayed bullets and took down seven people who were moving boxes.

Glolov, Jinfang, and Lucica fired at mercenaries shooting towards the inside from both sides of the factory, taking down two who popped out.

Then, people outside the door stretched their arms out with guns and shot into the interior.

Stephen was the only one without a gun, posing no threat, so when the gunfire suddenly exploded, he wasn’t killed.

Everyone had to fire at the most threatening targets to control the situation.

Stephen was very close to the door, almost just a step away.

Lying on the ground, Gao saw that the sniper could no longer threaten him.

He fired a shot at Stephen, who had crawled and rolled to the door.

Stephen lay on the ground, unhit in the head, wearing a bulletproof vest which the lead bullets could not penetrate due to poor penetration power.

So, Gao fired a shot at the ground, hitting Stephen in the buttocks and left leg.

Stephen was pulled out by a hand extending from outside the door.

Although Jinfang hit the person who was pulling Stephen and then shot through the neck of another trying to save Stephen, ultimately, Stephen was pulled out.

Meanwhile, the three men who attempted a surprise attack but were not quick enough in shooting had died.

However, Asif, while falling, had already fired his gun.

Although he couldn’t hit any of Satan Mercenaries, as he fell, his residual nerve reflex caused his right hand to keep pulling the trigger, and the bullets scratched the ground on his side.

Seven men landed from the trucks and underneath, three with handguns fell, Gao fell, Stephen was dragged out, two trying to shoot inside from the door fell, Cui Bo fired at the sniper in a high spot outside the factory, and his large caliber sniper rifle blew away half of the enemy sniper’s body, and the lower half of the sniper fell.

In no more than three seconds, a fierce gunfight settled.

Just then, Bruce screamed with all his might, “No!”

Gao fired two shots towards the door, killing two big-bearded men trying to rush in; then, as he retreated to the side, he heard Bruce’s desperate cry.

Gao turned towards Bruce and saw him sprinting forward two steps, rushing towards a rocket.

Bruce leaped forward, falling down in front of the rocket and stretching out his right hand, pressing his palm onto the rocket.

As Asif fell, a fired bullet hit the rocket, which was labeled in English and Arabic as Sarin’s 122mm rocket.

Bruce covered a small bullet hole on the rocket with his hand, then forcefully jumped, pressing his chest on his right hand, using his body to cover the rocket.

Gao felt like he was falling into an ice pit; he felt chills all over his body and felt his bones turn to mush, rendering him unable to even shout.

“No!”

“No!”

“Curtis!”

All of Satan’s men shouted out in despair, unconsciously crying out in their mother tongues under despair.

The gunfire stopped momentarily, and just at that moment, Gao heard someone outside shouting, screaming out the reality he was afraid to face.

“Chemical weapons leak!

Withdraw!

Run!

Run!” (To be continued.
