Tommy also needs an assistant shooter to carry and load shells, but just like with Glolov, providing a dedicated assistant shooter is too wasteful.

Even Frey and Cui Bo require assistant shooters, the reason none are provided thus far is simply due to waste, especially after Gao Yang set the mercenary group’s pay and spoils distribution system, which indeed became too lavish and wasteful.

If Jansen could be trained not only as a dedicated scout but also as an assistant shooter capable of supporting in every position, then his arrival immediately becomes very important.

Imagine in field combat, needing enhanced machine gun firepower, Jansen could serve as Glolov’s assistant, reinforcing a mortar, he could stand in as Tommy’s helper, targeting tanks or armored vehicles, he could help Frey carry an extra couple of rocket launchers, engaging in street or indoor assaults, even carrying extra grenades or joining the fray himself—such a multipurpose candidate would naturally be important.

Realizing the most suitable position for Jansen, Gao Yang’s heart started racing, because if Jansen could fulfill the roles he envisaged, then the last missing piece of the Satan Mercenary Corps could perfectly fall into place.
