Mercenary’s War
Chapter 654 - 654 647 Thoroughly Complete

654: Chapter 647: Thoroughly Complete 654: Chapter 647: Thoroughly Complete The night had deepened when the hands on the watch reached three in the morning, Cui Bo sent back his report on time.

“Brother Yang, the enemy has not left the command center, we can proceed as planned.”

Upon receiving Cui Bo’s instruction, Gao Yang waved his hand, and then the assault team filed out in succession.

Li Jinfang and Eileen were at the forefront, with Lucica and Gao Yang following closely behind, exiting the yard.

Upon reaching the street, the four quickly dispersed.

Once he confirmed that the street was empty, Gao Yang waved his hand again, and then Rafael, Cui Bo, and Bruce, each carrying a large bag, followed behind the assault team and stealthily approached the Free Syrian command center.

Trying to make no sound at all, Glolov, Frey, Tommy, and Raja, the four of them acting as cover personnel, also left through the gate.

Raja was holding a sign which bore the same message in Arabic and English, signed by Polovich.

“To all members of Free Syria, this is your punishment.

Next time you do business with me, remember to pay.”

After placing the board signed by Polovich in a conspicuous place outside the yard gate, Raja then held his gun and took his position.

After the six of them, including Gao Yang, arrived at the entrance of the Free Syrian command center, Gao Yang and Lucica were responsible for watching the main gate to prevent anyone from coming out, while Li Jinfang and Eileen knelt on one knee to keep watch on the street.

Rafael, holding a large bag weighing twenty kilograms, placed it beside the wall next to the gate.

Then, gesturing towards the corners of the walls, he directed Cui Bo and Bruce to put down their bags.

After a quick glance to ensure the positioning was right, Rafael immediately gave Gao Yang an okay signal.

The cover team did not follow the assault and demolitions teams to the outside of the Free Syrian command center; they stayed at the entrance of their dwelling, each taking a position beside a vehicle.

Seeing that the explosives were properly in place, Gao Yang waved his hand, and a few people then moved towards the cover team’s positions.

Without making any sound, once everyone had returned to the vehicles they had arrived in, Gao Yang gestured with his hand, and then the best drivers among them opened the car doors and took their places behind the wheels.

Once the drivers were in place and no threats were confirmed, Gao Yang waved his hand again, and then everyone carefully opened the car doors and entered the vehicles.

The car doors were not shut; this was to prevent noise from closing the doors and also to allow quick exit should any threat arise.

After everyone was in the cars, Gao Yang whispered into the walkie-talkie, “Drive, withdraw rapidly.”

In the dead of night, the sound of the cars starting was very loud.

When the four sedans ignited at the same time, Gao Yang feared it might alert someone, but ultimately, all went smoothly.

The cars did not turn on their lights.

After starting, they immediately reversed towards the west, away from the direction of Free Syria.

Once reaching a street corner, the four vehicles then quickly but sequentially turned around and then sped off.

To the east was the road between Aleppo Prison and the village, which was manned around the clock, so the safest route was to head west, leaving via a small path on the western side of the village, before turning onto the main highway.

When the car reached a safe distance outside the village, Rafael shouted, “Boss, it’s safe now, we can detonate!”

Cui Bo, who was responsible for observing whether anyone from the Free Syrian Command was leaving, immediately said, “There’s no movement from the enemy, all targets remain inside the command center.”

Gao Yang immediately said, “Stop the car and observe the effects of the explosion, Fork, detonate!”

All four cars came to a stop, and once the vehicles had stabilized, Rafael pressed the detonator in his hand.

First, Gao Yang and his team heard a relatively small explosion, as the C4 they had placed in the meeting room and Ibrahim’s bedroom was detonated; this was just a minor explosion.

But when Rafael pressed the button of another detonator, a tremendous explosion followed immediately.

Although they did not specifically target the weakest part of the Free Syrian Command, with enough explosives, the concept of weak points became irrelevant—sixty kilograms of TNT were enough to blast the command center sky-high.

Since they were still on the same road, they could clearly see the condition of the Free Syrian Command; after the earth-shattering explosion, they could clearly see the building that previously housed the command had completely collapsed.

With the sound of crackling, even though they were nearly three hundred meters away, small stones and other debris still fell, hitting the cars of Gao Yang and his team.

Gao Yang slightly smiled, then spoke into the walkie-talkie, “Confirm the target is destroyed, retreat!”

At his command, accompanied by the sound of car doors closing, the four vehicles started up again.

The mission was considered accomplished.

Gao Yang was confident that not a single person inside the Free Syrian Command could have survived.

With that, he had thoroughly uprooted the Free Syrian’s stronghold.

However, the danger was not yet over.

Although there were not many people to the west of the village, leaving through the small road on the western side required driving a considerable distance before they could reach the highway and then consider themselves somewhat safe.

Originally, a challenging mission had been unexpectedly smooth, so smooth in fact that Gao Yang could not even open his mouth to ask for a price increase.

The mission had gone smoothly, and so did the extraction; the convoy left safely and serenely without seeing a single person.

As the convoy traveled far to the north, Gao Yang felt there was no longer any danger, and even found the situation somewhat boring.

This serenely accomplished mission was indeed rare and effortless.

“Hey, Raja, you can call your boss now, tell him the mission is completed, and also tell him he can transfer the money to our account now.”

Raja chuckled, then immediately took out a satellite phone, powered it on, dialed a number, and after not too long, he laughed and said, “Boss, Ibrahim is dead, and so is the entire Free Syrian Command—over a hundred people, all blasted to the skies.

Ram asked me to tell you, you can clear our commission now.”

After a few more words, Raja put down the phone and smiled at Gao Yang, “The boss wants you to take the call.”

Gao Yang took the phone and smiled, “Hey, buddy, got anything you want to say to me?”

Polovich laughed, “Your commission will be transferred immediately.

Additionally, I’ve already arranged your extraction route, and someone will be waiting to help you guys out.

You can head to Turkey, but it’s a different route.

You know, the aftermath isn’t my concern—it’s Uriyangko who insisted I do this, so I thought it’s better to let you know.

Also, Uriyangko is urgently looking for you, if possible, you better give him a call.” (To be continued.
