Mercenary’s War
Chapter 532 - 532 528 Holiday Arrangements

532: Chapter 528 Holiday Arrangements 532: Chapter 528 Holiday Arrangements Pre-departure preparations were complicated.

A group fully armed would cause trouble anywhere, so before leaving, changing clothes and organizing all the weapons and equipment was a must.

Uriyangko was very thorough in his preparations.

The replacement clothes were already prepared.

After the car went directly to a place akin to a mountain lodge, everyone got out, showered, changed clothes, and ate.

Gao Yang didn’t bother to figure out exactly where they were; he simply did whatever Uriyangko told them to do.

While changing clothes and packing the equipment, Gao Yang worried they might encounter gunfire again.

If he packed all the weapons, it wouldn’t be convenient to take them out if something indeed happened.

He had become frightened by the constant surprises lately.

However, after Uriyangko repeatedly assured them that nothing would happen, he finally packed all the guns, including the pistols into the big bag.

By the time they finished, it was already noon.

Uriyangko was not in a hurry to leave and told Gao Yang and the others to rest at the lodge and wait until around ten at night when they were assembled again and taken to the airport.

Gao Yang had thought Ivan had chosen a smaller airport, but to his surprise, they ended up at the largest airport in Bogota.

Gao Yang was stunned—dozens of people carrying nothing but guns, bombs, and grenades sauntering into the airport; what was the plan here?

Gao Yang couldn’t keep quiet anymore.

He approached Uriyangko to find out what was going on.

He couldn’t ignore it; the lives of the Satan Mercenary Corps members were at stake.

He needed to get some clarity to be at peace.

Gao Yang was tense, and he discovered that Uriyangko looked even more tense.

This made Gao Yang even more anxious.

He pulled Uriyangko aside and whispered, “I thought we were going to a small airport to take a small plane.

What’s the plan here, to fight another battle and hijack a plane to leave?”

Uriyangko whispered back, “Buddy, I operate in Africa; I’m not familiar with the Americas.

This was Ivan’s arrangement.

I think, since he dared to come here, there shouldn’t be a problem.”

In Gao Yang’s mind, Ivan always seemed carefree, and although he knew Ivan was capable, understanding the extent of his abilities was difficult.

But at this point, other than trusting Ivan’s competence, there was no other choice.

After waiting outside the airport for about fifteen minutes, a vehicle drove up to the front of a convoy of more than twenty cars.

A person spoke with Ivan for a few moments, then Ivan, getting into the lead car, drove off.

Once Ivan started moving, Gao Yang and Uriyangko, though still anxious, could only follow.

Then, the convoy didn’t head towards any terminal but instead took a detour and, after passing through three checkpoints, drove straight onto the tarmac.

All the plans were jointly decided by Uriyangko and Ivan.

Uriyangko didn’t have a clear idea himself, but he knew the specific arrangements.

After reaching the tarmac, Uriyangko pointed at an Airbus A-320 and said, “That one, our charter plane.”

Gao Yang let out a sigh of relief and said, “It’s big, very good.

Now that we are here, I’m starting to feel relieved.”

What followed was just as planned.

The group boarded the plane as quickly as possible, placing the injured in the roomiest first-class seats.

Everyone found seats, and the plane, already prepared for takeoff, moved onto the runway and eventually took off.

Gao Yang finally breathed a deep sigh of relief.

As the plane ascended, Gao Yang couldn’t help but exhale deeply and said, “Finally, we’re airborne; now we’re really safe.

These times of fearing for our lives while hiding have really worn me down.”

After Gao Yang finished speaking, Cui Bo shook his head and said, “We’re not safe yet.

If the government forces can’t find us, they might decide to shoot us down in the sky.

That would truly be ‘calling to heaven without answer, calling to earth without echo.’ So, we’re not safe until we’re out of Colombian airspace.”

Gao Yang held his breath, looked at Cui Bo, and said, “Rabbit, nobody would think you’re mute if you didn’t speak, could you please shut up?”

Cui Bo was clearly dissatisfied and said, “I’m just stating the facts.”

Gao Yang forced a smile and said, “That’s exactly why it’s scary, I’ve already been in a crash once, and I’m naturally afraid of flying.

Can’t you just let me fly this trip in peace?”

Li Jinfang said, “Don’t be afraid, nothing will go wrong.

If something was going to happen, it would happen on the ground, not up in the air.

Brother Yang, are you planning to learn how to fly?

You’re already scared of flying, how can you learn?”

Gao Yang smiled and said, “Little by little, it’s actually not a big deal, I can get over it.

I plan to learn how to fly light aircraft.

Once I get to America, I’ll sign up at a flight school.

Little Donnie is already handling this for me; he has a few schools lined up, I just haven’t decided where to learn yet.

How about you guys, interested in learning together?”

Cui Bo said, “I want to learn, but I cannot say the same for Jinfang.”

Gao Yang nodded, then stood up from his seat, turned to the people sitting behind them, and said, “Guys, we’re going to take a long break.

Do you have any plans for this time?

How about joining me in learning to fly?”

Glolov shook his head and said, “You know what I’ll be doing, I probably won’t have the time.

The main thing is, I’m good at jumping off planes, but flying them isn’t for me.”

Tommy also shook his head repeatedly and said, “I’m not going either, I might be returning to my country for a while.”

Bruce, however, chuckled and said, “I’ll probably be too busy, you know.

With a girlfriend, once Lucica’s wound heals, I have a lot of things to take care of.”

Not getting any response, Gao Yang sat back down and turned to Li Jinfang who was beside him, “How about you, what are your plans?”

Li Jinfang smiled and said, “I was just about to talk to you about that, Brother Yang.

We’re breaking, and right now, Li Pengfei’s company desperately needs people.

I’m thinking of helping them out.

They’ve taken a security job in Congo-Kinshasa.

I’m thinking of covering for them for a while.

If we have any operations, I’ll come back.”

Gao Yang and Li Jinfang held shares in the security company currently run by Li Pengfei, so Li Jinfang helping out was essentially working for their own company.

Moreover, as far as personal time was concerned, Li Jinfang could do whatever he wanted, and Gao Yang certainly wouldn’t stop him.

Gao Yang smiled and said, “Alright, if you want to go, then go.

I knew you’d have to join them.

Just keep in touch.

I’m thinking about getting everyone trained in parachuting.

If we need to collaborate, I’ll call you back.

If not, just stay put in Congo-Kinshasa.”

Li Jinfang nodded and said, “Alright then, once I reach Brazil, I’ll head straight there, not going to America with you guys.

We’ll stay in touch if something comes up.”
