Mercenary’s War
Chapter 503 - 503 I'll issue a single to confess and explain

503: I’ll issue a single chapter to confess and explain…

503: I’ll issue a single chapter to confess and explain…

Recently, I’ve been struggling to update my writing, and even the timings have been inconsistent, either earlier or later than planned, failing to deliver the promised three updates, for which I plead guilty and sincerely apologize to everyone.

I’m truly sorry.

After admitting my guilt, please allow me to share my woes.

During this time, I really wanted to update more, but my neck has left me incapacitated despite my willingness.

Allow me to weep as I tell you, I just can’t do it.

Since last month, my neck has been all kinds of uncomfortable.

If I type for too long, I feel dizzy and my neck gets locked up; it’s not very painful but is definitely uncomfortable, leaving my mind in a fog.

My typing speed was never fast.

Among many authors, I definitely have the slowest hands, managing only one thousand words per hour, not one more.

Writing a chapter takes at least three hours, and that’s with my head down, not moving at all; it’s no surprise I’m having neck issues.

Recently, I started using a traction device and even found a professional massage therapist specializing in neck problems, which did improve my condition quite a bit.

However, after stopping the massages for a while, I’ve realized the problem has become even more serious.

I used to get uncomfortable sitting for an hour, but now I can’t even sit still for thirty minutes without feeling terrible.

Hence, the increase in the number of short chapters around two thousand words—I just can’t keep up.

Two thousand words I can manage in one go, but a three thousand-word chapter takes over four hours and requires taking breaks in between.

I really can’t afford to drag it out…

I’ve decided that once I get my payment, I’ll go and get my neck massaged.

But let me vent for a moment—I live in a small county town and can’t find a good doctor, so I must visit the city for a massage, and it costs one hundred and twenty per hour, which is really expensive.

Plus, the doctor said I shouldn’t sit for long periods or stay up late, or the massages won’t help.

But dammit, if I can’t sit for long or stay up late, how am I supposed to write anything…

I’ve been failing to update regularly and keep a consistent schedule recently, and for that, I apologize to you all.

But although my pen name is Rushui Yi, I never churn out filler, so please call me ‘Never-water-down Rushui Yi’.

Also, I must thank you all.

Thank you for your support and love, for your understanding and patience.

You are the best readers.

Umm, I’m not good at being sentimental, so I’ll just express my gratitude again.

Thank you to all the brothers and sisters who support me; you are my sole reason to keep going, the only reason.

Thank you for your support, and please continue to stand by me.

Oh, I just thought of something—since this is a military-themed novel, I’m sure there are a lot of male readers, but are there any sisters out there?

Are there really any?
