Mercenary’s War
Chapter 474 - 474 471 Clinging to the Angel

474: Chapter 471: Clinging to the Angel 474: Chapter 471: Clinging to the Angel Gao Yang knew that the size of the Angel Mercenary Corps should be around forty people, but he didn’t know the exact number.

However, being close to forty was definitely not wrong.

The advantage of having more people was that the composition of the Angels’ forces was quite complete.

They had every type of soldier and equipment one could think of, especially heavy firepower.

A few mortars were raining down on the police encirclement, and creating a gap in the cordon was extremely easy.

What surprised Gao Yang, however, was that the Angel Mercenary Corps seemed to have no intention of just rescuing them from the encirclement but were instead setting up to annihilate the police surrounding them.

Hit hard and caught off guard, the police began to retreat, especially after the police snipers were found and taken out one by one, the Angel Mercenary Corps started attacking toward the other end of the street.

Carrying a G36 assault rifle, Nate casually waved his hand, signaling a twelve-man assault team to move forward, then stepped into the clinic.

When Nate said two minutes, it was exactly two minutes by the time he walked through the doors of the clinic.

Seeing Gao Yang, Nate raised his hand to greet, “Hey, Ram, I’m here.”

Gao Yang waved vigorously at Nate, “Hey, Nate, I’m so damn happy to see you.”

Little Donnie and Samuel’s men followed Nate into the clinic.

As Gao Yang and Nate were greeting each other, a frantic Little Donnie dropped the large bag from his shoulder to the ground and rushed at Gao Yang, “This is your bag.

How are Little Fly and the others?

How’s Ivan?”

The scene turned a bit chaotic.

Aside from Gao Yang, other members of the Satan Mercenary Corps were busy arming themselves.

Samuel was pulling on Brejinsky, inquiring about Ivan’s condition, when Nate checked his watch and yelled at Gao Yang, “Can we leave now?”

Gao Yang immediately shouted, “Rabbit, go ask Test Tube and Andy He when we can leave.”

Cui Bo ran to the door of the operating room and called out a few times, then ran back to Gao Yang, “Ten minutes, no more than ten minutes.”

Nate nodded, “We have time.

It’ll take thirty minutes for the Jaguar Corps to get ready for combat and come here.

I’m giving you twenty minutes to evacuate.”

“Twenty minutes is plenty, but where are we evacuating to?”

Nate frowned, “That’s your problem to consider.

I’ve completed my task by rescuing you guys.

You can choose a location, and I’ll escort you there.”

Gao Yang gave a wry smile, “Come on, can you give me a clear direction?

Things have gotten too out of hand, the Colombian special forces will have to mobilize too, and given our obvious characteristics, we can’t just swagger to the airport.

So, please help us find a safe place to hide for now.”

Nate shrugged, “My next assignment was only to get you out of the encirclement.

Anything else, I don’t want to deal with, so name a place now, and I will take you there.”

Gao Yang felt helpless because he had indeed only hired the Angel Mercenary Corps to rescue them from the police cordon.

But upon hearing the loophole in Nate’s words, before Nate could cover it up, Gao Yang quickly said, “Take us to Brazil.”

Nate was suddenly astonished; he stared into Gao Yang’s eyes, “Are you playing word games with me?”

Gao Yang confidently replied, “No shit, if I don’t play word games, I’m a dead man.

So do I play or not?

I’ve already told you my designated safe place, Brazil, so take us there, buddy.

In this line of work, credibility is crucial, and we mercenaries have to be even more credible.

Now, I can pay you your fee.”

Nate furrowed his brow, “You want me to do what could be a long-term task that I don’t know how much time it will take or what it will cost for the price of a short-term job?

And it’s an escort mission?”

Gao Yang quickly smiled, “No, no, how could that be?

Think of it as a different part of the same mission.

The part where you rescued us from the encirclement is worth twenty million.

For the rest, name your price, and we can discuss it.

After all, you allowed me to designate an evacuation point, and I’ve already done so.

Our only disagreement is over the price, right?

Buddy, let me be straight with you, I need to stick with you until I’m sure we are safe.”

Gao Yang played the villain for once.

Unfamiliar with Colombia and not looking like Brejinsky and his men had the capability to operate there, Ivan’s fate was still uncertain.

If no one helped, even if they momentarily broke through the police encirclement, escaping Colombia would be harder than ascending to heaven.

He didn’t even know where to run, and more importantly, he didn’t know how to run.

So, he had no choice but to cling to the Angel Mercenary Corps.

Nate shook his head helplessly, then pointed at Gao Yang’s shoulder wound, “You’re injured; do you need help?”

Andy He was operating on Ivan, Bruce was treating Brejinsky’s men, and Gao Yang’s wound had been lingering for quite some time.

Upon hearing Nate’s offer, he immediately nodded, “Sure, our medics are overwhelmed, so I’ll trouble you.

I think the medical skills of your corps must be quite good, why not use them if they’re free.”

Nate shook his head in resignation again, “Ram, I just realized you’re more shameless than I thought.”

After expressing his exasperation, Nate spoke into his radio, “Scarface, come give a hand.

Group A, take the southern end of the road.

Group B, establish a defensive position at the north end of the street.

Snipers, take advantageous positions.

No one enters within twenty minutes, wait for orders to withdraw.”

As Nate was issuing orders to his men, Gao Yang asked urgently, “Hammer, how many cars did you bring over?”

Samuel also sounded urgent, “Still those six cars, but they’re up north on the street, along with the vehicles of the Angel Mercenary Corps.

The road is blocked by armored vehicles; they can’t get through.”

Two armored vehicles had been destroyed and were blocking the narrow street—not side by side, but enough to completely obstruct the road.

Cars couldn’t reach the clinic’s entrance, and to transport Ivan to a vehicle would require walking at least a hundred meters or more.

Gao Yang shook his head, “Getting Ivan over there by carrying or pushing him seems too dangerous.

Hammer, take your men and find a way to get the cars to the clinic’s entrance, or take a detour if necessary.”

Just then, Nate said solemnly, “Guys, another special police force is coming.

Expect to engage in about four minutes.

I thought it would be the Jaguar, but it seems I underestimated the courage of the Bogota police.” (To be continued.
