Chapter 1363: Chapter 1346: Go to Negotiate

Morgan sent Simon, and Simon gathered a lot of people, spending a long time and plenty of money in Ukraine looking for that gun, but found nothing—not even a clue. It wasn’t until the situation in Ukraine began to rapidly deteriorate that Simon withdrew his search team from Ukraine.

Actually, the deteriorating situation in Ukraine was one of the reasons Morgan gave up the search, but it wasn’t the main reason. They gave up mainly because there was no hope in sight, which forced Morgan to abandon the effort.

Is searching for a gun in a country any different from finding a needle in a haystack? Is there a difference?

So even though Morgan desperately wanted to find that gun he dreamed of, he had to face reality and give up this needle-in-a-haystack search.

Morgan temporarily gave up the search, but since Gao Yang had arrived in Ukraine and was definitely going to stay for a while, he would naturally have to find that gun for Morgan, even without being told to.

Gao Yang had no particularly good way to find that gun either, but it has to be said that his luck with antique guns was far better than Morgan’s. Yes, in Morgan’s collection, what Gao Yang helped him find accounted for only a small portion, but those Gao Yang found were all premium pieces. Hence, among Morgan’s premium collection, what Gao Yang found constituted the majority.

So, when it comes to collections, it’s not just about having money; you also need luck. Morgan spent a lot of money and gathered for decades, and even then, only a few guns are remarkable because exceptional pieces come by chance. You want to buy them, but first, people need to be willing to sell.

As for Gao Yang, his antique guns are war trophies, to put it nicely; to put it bluntly, he either robbed them, or they were gifts from others. In any case, he got hold of premium and ultra-premium pieces that Morgan couldn’t touch for decades without spending a cent. Does that annoy you or not?

Of course, finding that gun for Morgan cannot rely solely on luck; there must be some concrete action taken, and Gao Yang’s method is to mobilize the White Shark Gang, letting these local bosses in Kiev help him find it. The more people, the greater the power. Using more manpower is surely much better than having Simon blindly search with just a dozen or so people.

They had been in Kiev for two days, and after meeting with Shava once, Gao Yang was just waiting for news at their hideout. But there hadn’t been any updates in these two days, so he wasn’t sure if having Shava help in finding the gun had made any progress.

The day they were supposed to meet Shava’s cousin, and it was not until evening, almost dark, that Shava finally called Gao Yang to arrange a meeting place.

Finally receiving the call, Gao Yang breathed a sigh of relief, then immediately announced loudly: “We’ve got news, we’re going to meet Shava’s cousin, Toad, Tyrannosaurus, you two come with me, let Nikolai drive.”

Their hideout was within Kiev city, but it had a large courtyard. The house was an old building over a hundred years old, very spacious, with nice surroundings, dense woods all around, not far from the Dnieper River—not only very concealed, but crucially, it was easy to retreat in all four directions.

During the day there wasn’t much to do; everyone gathered in the large living room on the first floor to play cards, drink beer, chat a bit and have a pleasant time. If anything happened, it was easy to react.

After Gao Yang answered the phone, Li Jinfang and the others stopped what they were doing. Once Gao Yang finished speaking, Li Jinfang set his things aside, softly saying, “I’ll go change clothes.”

Eileen, on the other hand, excitedly said, “Can I go? Fantastic, just fantastic, I’ve always wanted to be part of a gang negotiation. I love this, I really do. I’ll go change my clothes too, quick, I’ll be quick.”

After Li Jinfang and Eileen left, Number Thirteen frowned and said, “I’m coming with you.”

Gao Yang waved his hand, smiled, and said, “You don’t need to go this time; it’s a negotiation, a friendly one. Your gaze is too cold, giving people chills when you glance at them. Besides, you’re the offensive type, not suited for this kind of work.”

Number Thirteen paused briefly, then said in a serious tone, “Do you think I’m too unsympathetic as a bodyguard? Hmm, I can change my demeanor.”

After speaking, Number Thirteen closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, his eyes were full of smiles. He then smiled and said, “What do you think now?”

Number Thirteen’s gaze was warm and clear, like that of a sunny young man. Gao Yang shrugged helplessly and said, “Ha, changing expressions is really easy for you, but you’re too warm this way. Forget it, buddy. You should just stick to being the assassin you are; being a bodyguard doesn’t suit you. Whenever we need someone to infiltrate first or need you as a driver, you can step in.”

Number Thirteen waved his hand and said, “Alright, if you insist, I won’t go this time.”

If two bodyguards were needed, Gao Yang felt that Li Jinfang and Eileen were more suitable. Mainly, he had better rapport with Li Jinfang and Eileen; just exchanging a glance, they knew what the other meant. And once a fight broke out, with the three of them fighting hand-to-hand, probably no one in this world could stop them. If it came to using guns, the three of them were Satan’s sharpest combat trio.

Li Jinfang and Eileen quickly changed. Each dressed in a bulletproof black suit, carrying a bulletproof briefcase. Li Jinfang was alright, looking no different from usual, but Eileen wore a black wig and sunglasses.

After coming out, Eileen touched her wig and said with an infatuated tone, “Isn’t it cool?”

Gao Yang smiled and said, “Very cool, indeed very cool. Tell you what, next time when there’s a negotiation, you be the boss, and I’ll be your bodyguard.”

Eileen pointed at Gao Yang, delighted, and said, “Deal! No changing your mind; next time there’s an opportunity for negotiation, let me handle it. Boss, you’re awesome. If I host a negotiation next, I’ll switch to a blonde wig, hmm, maybe one with a dazzling shade? And then wear blood-red lipstick?”

Gao Yang gave Eileen a playful push and laughed, “Alright, think about it later.”

The task at hand was easy, so the three of them playfully walked out. When they reached the door of a small standalone room outside, Gao Yang knocked and shouted, “Nikolai, time to head out.”

Nikolai, of course, couldn’t stay with Gao Yang and the others, so he usually stayed in the gatehouse, and he could be called out whenever needed. After Nikolai started up the old Mercedes and drove them onto the street, Gao Yang suddenly asked, “Nikolai, there’s something I’d like to ask you—do you want to leave Ukraine?” (To be continued.
