Chapter 1325: Chapter 1308 Acting Training Class
Gao Yang is seriously considering whether to buy a private plane.
Always borrowing Morgan’s plane, Gao Yang feels a bit embarrassed. Now that Morgan’s old plane is no longer needed, if Gao Yang buys it, he could get a well-maintained private plane at a good price. More importantly, this plane can also be used for intercontinental flights, which would indeed be convenient for the Satan Mercenary Corps.
The only problem is that Gao Yang doesn’t have money, or rather the Satan Mercenary Corps doesn’t have money to buy such a plane. Another important factor is that owning a plane is not a one-time investment. The crew needs to be maintained, and routine maintenance is also a significant expense. Even parking the plane requires signing a contract with an airport. In summary, without several million a year, it’s simply unaffordable.
After thinking it over, Gao Yang finally decided not to buy the plane for the time being and would continue using Morgan’s plane. He figured it wouldn’t be late to buy and afford it once Satan secures a few lucrative deals.
In fact, Morgan’s old plane has now become Gao Yang’s private plane, and he is currently flying on it from America to Antwerp. He is the only person on the entire plane, making it as private as it gets.
Though not completely recovered, just twenty days after being shot three times, Gao Yang can walk and even embark on a global trip. Apart from the injuries not being too severe, the wounds are relatively dangerous but recover quickly, so the recovery time won’t be long. Albert only has a sprained foot, but Gao Yang, who was shot, has managed to walk sooner.
The flight time from New York to Antwerp is quite long. When Gao Yang awoke from a nap, a service attendant, who couldn’t be considered a flight attendant due to her age, approached him and said warmly, “Mr. Gao, it’s time for your medication.”
After pouring water into a cup and placing the twelve tablets in a small dish before Gao Yang, the attendant said warmly, “I need to supervise you taking all the medication to avoid you forgetting.”
Gao Yang shrugged. After taking the medication, before the attendant took the cup and dish away, she asked softly, “Mr. Gao, would you like to eat now? We have three hours to reach Antwerp, and it’s your usual mealtime.”
Gao Yang perked up a bit and said, “What’s available?”
The attendant, with a gentle face, said, “Your nutritional meal, everything according to doctor’s instructions.”
Gao Yang waved his hand listlessly and said, “Forget it, I’m not hungry.”
The attendant smiled apologetically and said softly, “I’m sorry, Mr. Gao, I was instructed to ensure you take your medication and meals regularly, so I’ll bring your lunch shortly and supervise you just like in the hospital.”
Gao Yang said helplessly, “I thought I got rid of those cursed nutritional meals. Well, now I’d like to know who instructed you.”
The attendant took out a paper and smiled, “Mr. Morgan instructed me, but I believe the person who wrote this list cares deeply about you.”
Gao Yang took the paper, and the handwriting was clearly Yelena’s. It detailed his medication schedule, types and quantity, along with his routine and meal timings and portions.
Gao Yang returned the paper to the attendant and said helplessly, “Alright, I’ll eat. By the way, I’ve never seen you before. Are you new?”
The attendant replied gently, “No, I’ve worked for Mr. Reeves for sixteen years. You haven’t met me before because I only work on Mr. Reeves’s private plane. This time Mr. Reeves assigned me to serve you to ensure better care during your trip. Sir, is there anything else you need to know?”
Gao Yang shook his head and smiled, “No, thank you.”
After the attendant left, Gao Yang gently tapped the armrest of his seat and suddenly laughed. Being cared for feels quite nice.
After eating a nutritious yet repulsive semi-liquid meal, Gao Yang closed his eyes again, pondering what to do upon arriving in Antwerp.
The reason Gao Yang is journeying alone to Antwerp is that Yake and Number Thirteen have completed most of the preliminary work. If things go well, the three of them can handle the matter. If they can’t manage it, bringing more people wouldn’t help.
Although able to move, Gao Yang isn’t completely recovered. The long flight and extended activities still put some strain on his body, and the medication he takes also has sedative effects. Hence, he slept soundly in the comfortable seat until the attendant woke him.
Upon opening his eyes, the first thing Gao Yang saw was the attendant’s smiling face.
“Mr. Gao, we’ve arrived.”
Gao Yang rubbed his face, and the attendant pressed a button to slowly raise the seat from a near-flat position.
After going into the plane’s bathroom to wash his face and tidy his hair, Gao Yang exited to find the attendant waiting with a briefcase.
Gao Yang took the briefcase, and the attendant began adjusting his clothes from behind, smoothing out any wrinkles to make the suit look crisp, carefully removing hair stuck to the suit. After checking several times, the attendant finally said with a smile, “Mr. Gao, you look perfect.”
Gao Yang smiled and said in a deep voice, “Thank you.”
Putting on a pair of sunglasses, Gao Yang leisurely walked down the airplane’s steps and headed towards the VIP corridor.
In a suit and leather shoes, with a confident smile, Gao Yang looked like a successful businessman.
After walking out of the VIP corridor, Gao Yang looked around several times before he spotted Number Thirteen in a dull gray jacket, blending in and hard to distinguish.
Gao Yang approached Number Thirteen and with a reproachful look said, “You should have called out to me instead of waiting for me to discover you. Don’t you know how hard it is to find someone like you hiding in a crowd?”
Number Thirteen replied flatly, “Are you blaming me for your poor eyesight?”
Gao Yang followed Number Thirteen out of the terminal. Number Thirteen opened a very common small car, and as they started driving, Gao Yang asked with a smile, “When do we take action?”
Number Thirteen said seriously, “When you can convincingly play an evil villain, then we’ll take action.”
“Villain? I feel like I don’t need to act; I think I can just play myself.”
“There are requirements for you in the glove box. If you need to handle this matter personally, you’ll have to meet our requirements.”
Gao Yang opened the glove box, flipped through the contents, and soon after, he smiled wryly, “This isn’t just playing a villain, this is perverse.”
Number Thirteen said indifferently, “Say what you will, but to make your target tremble and wet their pants at the sight of you, never daring to think of betraying you, you’ll need to follow the requirements.”
Gao Yang exhaled and said, “I’ll do my best.”
“Not just your best, you need to succeed. We have time, we’ll wait until you’ve perfected it before taking action.”
Gao Yang focused on the materials Yake gave him, while Number Thirteen concentrated on driving. They drove to what seemed to be an ordinary house in Antwerp.
Exiting the car, opening the door, Gao Yang followed Number Thirteen into the unassuming house, but once they reached the second floor and entered a backstreet room, the style changed drastically.
The walls were covered in photos and route maps, each photo captioned with names and target relationships. A whiteboard in the corner of the room was filled with handwriting. Almost no space was left on the four walls, particularly catching Gao Yang’s attention were two photos of horses hanging among them.
In the middle of the room was a table with six laptops on it, four of which showed divided surveillance footage.
Gao Yang glanced around once, grinning, “Is this your work product?”
Number Thirteen said in a deep voice, “Yes, we worked ourselves to the bone on this, just to give you an overwhelming aura when you meet the target.”
Gao Yang raised a finger and smiled, “In Huaxia terms, you handle the groundwork, I just need to put on the act.”
Number Thirteen chuckled, shook his head, and said in a deep voice, “Wait, I’ll go get a couch.”
Yake dragged in a small single sofa from the outer room, placed it inside, then took down the largest photo from the wall, casually pointed to the sofa, and said, “Sit.”
Gao Yang obediently sat on the sofa. Number Thirteen stepped back and raised the large photo about four or five meters away from Gao Yang, saying in a deep voice, “Say hello to our target.”
Gao Yang spread his hands, reluctantly smiled, then cleared his throat seriously, and in a slow, deep voice said, “Hello, Mr. Davis, we’ve finally met.”
Number Thirteen said in a deep voice, “Stop, you need to be like a maniac, capable of anything, someone who instills fear from the heart, not a godfather, not a big shot, not even a figure of power. Try again, you need to smile, your eyes should hold mockery, not hostility or authority, but an utter disregard for an enemy whom you inwardly regard with contempt and derision as if everything is under control.”
Gao Yang raised his hands loudly, “Buddy! Your standards are too high! Plus this isn’t a movie shoot, we’re going to a negotiation, a negotiation!”
Number Thirteen coldly replied, “In filming, you can have a retake; in negotiation, you cannot. Flubbing a movie scene at most gets the audience to criticize your bad acting. Here, failing the act means losing your diamond mine or even your life. You better listen to me, make your enemy never dare to oppose you again. So, do it again until I’m satisfied.” (To be continued.
