Chapter 1221: Chapter One Thousand Two Hundred and Four: Woman Like the Wind

Gao Yang didn’t know what hotel Morgan had arranged for him, but it definitely must be the best, most expensive, and most luxurious one. He wouldn’t even need to know where exactly to go; just following the car ahead would suffice.

Every man wants to appear impressive in front of his girlfriend, and Gao Yang was no exception. No matter whether Yelena knew his actual worth or not, presenting oneself grandly in front of a loved one is indeed pleasing. For Gao Yang, he still hadn’t figured out how to live the luxurious life, but the arrangements Morgan made for him represented real capability. If it were someone else, would Morgan be willing to put so much effort and money into making sure every detail of living was set at the highest standard?

However, Gao Yang started feeling that it was becoming meaningless, driving a supercar but only able to follow slowly behind a Fiat, which felt suffocating.

Speaking of which, this was actually the first time Gao Yang had driven a supercar. Just as he was about to step on the gas and enjoy himself, Yelena suddenly pointed out of the car window and exclaimed loudly, “Look!”

Gao Yang glanced over but didn’t notice anything special, and asked curiously, “Look at what?”

Yelena pointed excitedly at a motorcycle and said, “Look at that motorcycle!”

“It’s just a small motorcycle, nothing special!”

After Gao Yang’s remark, Yelena, with a face full of excitement, said, “That is a Piaggio VESPA gts250 ie, a modern motorcycle, from the same series as the one Audrey Hepburn rode in ‘Roman Holiday’.”

Gao Yang was very surprised, extremely surprised. He looked at Yelena and exclaimed, “You know about motorcycles?”

After watching the motorcycle speed past outside the car window, Yelena sighed and said, “Yes, I love motorcycles. When I was in Moscow, my mom owned a Japanese Yamaha motorcycle. I used to ride it to school. I love the feeling of freedom that comes with riding a motorcycle.”

Gao Yang was unaware that Yelena liked motorcycles so much. He looked at her and said nothing, but he gave up on the idea of pressing down on the car’s accelerator.

Upon finally arriving at the hotel and after being escorted to their room, Gao Yang turned to Yelena with a smile and asked, “Are you tired?”

Yelena replied with a light laugh, “Not tired at all, why?”

Gao Yang shrugged and said, “If you’re not tired, then let’s change into something more comfortable. We’re going out to have fun.”

Yelena naturally complied and changed into a more casual outfit.

After changing, Gao Yang grabbed Yelena’s hand and hurried out of the hotel. While rushing along with Gao Yang, Yelena curiously asked, “What about our bodyguards? Why are they not following us?”

Gao Yang simply smiled and said, “Let’s go.”

Gao Yang led Yelena by the hand to the front of the hotel, and when they reached the hotel entrance, there stood Octavia holding a helmet in each hand, smiling at them and saying, “Mr. Gao, Miss Yelena, have fun but please drive safely.”

Yelena circled around the smiling Octavia, stood in front of a motorcycle, covered her mouth with her hands, and looked utterly shocked. Then, she turned to Gao Yang and exclaimed, “A VESPA! Are we going to ride this motorcycle for fun?”

Gao Yang took the two helmets from Octavia, handed the white lady’s helmet to Yelena, and said with a smile, “Yes, we are going on a motorcycle ride.”

Gao Yang put on a black helmet and after securing it, he straddled the motorcycle and said to Yelena with a smile, “My dear, get on.”

Gao Yang knows how to ride a motorcycle, but only just; he can handle a scooter, and he thinks he’s okay with that.

Yelena excitedly took the back seat of the motorcycle, which was a bit small. She had to hug Gao Yang tightly to keep her balance, and once the motorcycle started and stabilized, Gao Yang immediately fell in love with the feeling.

Even though he had no special feelings for the movie “Roman Holiday,” riding leisurely on the streets of Rome on a motorcycle felt really cool to Gao Yang.

“You never told me you liked motorcycles, and I really didn’t know you knew so much about them.”

Yelena, tilting her head and glancing at Gao Yang with a light laugh, said: “I’ve always liked them, but I could only watch, not ride, because my mom worried about me getting hurt. In Russia, my mom strictly forbade me from riding fast motorcycles, and after moving to New York, she wouldn’t let me buy a high-powered one. But, I’ve already managed to get my motorcycle license when I found some free time.”

Gao Yang subconsciously still had a repulsion toward motorcycles, feeling they were too dangerous. He thought it was fine to ride one for fun and enjoy the breeze, or to leisurely cruise around, but the idea of Yelena riding one was unacceptable to him.

Yelena is a violinist and pianist; riding a motorcycle could be disastrous if she ever fell and injured her hands.

Gao Yang frowned and said: “When did you sneak off to get a motorcycle license? Hey, you better stay away from these things, they’re too dangerous for you.”

Yelena was silent for a moment, then said helplessly: “I’m telling you this because I was hoping you could let me ride and take you. Unfortunately, you’re just like my mom; neither of you allow me to ride.”

Listening to Yelena’s helpless and melancholy voice, Gao Yang finally surrendered. After thinking it over, he finally said: “You can ride, but only here. Once we’re back in New York, you absolutely must not touch a motorcycle. Also, you can only ride when I’m with you, otherwise you’re not allowed to. If you agree to this, I’ll let you ride.”

Yelena exclaimed with joy: “Yes, yes! I agree!”

Gao Yang then stopped the motorcycle, and Yelena excitedly rode to the front. She then patted the back seat, calling out loudly: “Come on, get up here, we’re going for a ride!”

Gao Yang sat on the back seat, wrapping his arms around Yelena’s slender waist. As Yelena waited for Gao Yang to hold her, she shouted: “Hold tight, we’re setting off!”

The motorcycle accelerated instantly, causing Gao Yang to lean back suddenly, but luckily he held on tight enough to not fall off.

“Slower! Slower! You’re going too fast!”

“It’s okay, I’m really good at this!”

The dialogue between the man and woman seemed reversed, with Gao Yang crying out about the speed, while Yelena confidently assured there was no problem.

Yelena rode the motorcycle much faster than Gao Yang, briskly navigating through the alleys of Rome.

She braked suddenly, quickly stopping the motorcycle before accelerating swiftly again after turning a corner. Just then, Yelena loudly asked: “Darling, do you like Ducati?”

Ducati, the Ferrari of motorcycles. Gao Yang was indifferent about liking it or not, but when he heard Yelena’s question, he responded warily: “What exactly are you trying to say?”

“I mean, can we swap our little motorcycle for a Ducati? Also, can we ride it to Pescalin?” (To be continued. If you like this work, we welcome you to vote on qidian.com, your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please go to m.qidian.com to read.)
