Mercenary’s War
Chapter 1137 - 1137 One Thousand One Hundred Twenty The Heart of a Woman

1137: Chapter One Thousand One Hundred Twenty: The Heart of a Woman 1137: Chapter One Thousand One Hundred Twenty: The Heart of a Woman Gao Yang didn’t even know how to comfort Eileen, the differences between men and women are ultimately distinct.

Eileen’s heartaches were deeply hidden, for more than a year, almost two years now, Gao Yang had always treated Eileen as a man, but in the end, Eileen was a woman.

When Satan had Lucica, at least Eileen had a companion, even though Lucica was always paired with Bruce.

This way, not all the different looks would fall on Eileen alone.

In the mercenary circle, there are hardly any women, and for Eileen to have made it this far as a girl is truly not easy.

Knowing it has not been easy for Eileen, but not knowing how to enlighten her, Gao Yang truly did not know.

He always respected Eileen as a brother, not knowing that Eileen could also have her vulnerable moments, and once the tough exterior was broken by Eileen herself, it showed that she was actually a very fragile woman at heart.

After thinking for a long while, Gao Yang felt he found a breakthrough, and then he said with a light chuckle, “Never been in love?

What’s the big deal, Bob loves you to death, it’s just a pity he’s always ignored by you.”

Eileen smiled, then after thinking for a while, she frowned again, saying with distress, “But I don’t like him, not at all; he’s not my type whatsoever.”

Gao Yang continued with a smile, “We Huaxia People believe in fate.

You don’t have to rush or feel sad about it.

When fate comes, you will naturally find the person you like.”

Eileen sighed and said, “But it’s so difficult, sir, my experiences, my personality—I hope to find a love that can withstand the test of life and death, but it’s so hard.

I just can’t find a man worth my affection.”

Gao Yang laughed and said, “Take your time, you will find him eventually.”

Eileen gave Gao Yang a meaningful look, then slowly said, “Yelena talks about you as if she would die for you.

I’ve also met Catherine and Adele; I know them.

Catherine is more reserved, but I know she likes you very much, very much indeed.

As for Adele, she can’t wait to have your baby and she doesn’t hide this fact at all.

It’s just that you’ve been deliberately avoiding it.”

Gao Yang gave a wry smile and said, “How did this turn to me?”

Eileen said solemnly, “Sometimes I wonder, what charm do you possess to make three such outstanding women become infatuated with you?

They are different from me; they are very beautiful, very excellent, true women, outstanding women.”

Gao Yang said earnestly, “You are also very beautiful, very excellent; you just belong to a different type.”

Eileen shook her head and said, “I’m an excellent soldier, but not an excellent woman.”

After reaching this conclusion about herself, Eileen spoke with a calm face, “I didn’t go for a run at the usual time today because I got my period, and I saw you on the phone.

When you were calling Yelena, the smile on your face was different from usual.

I could tell at a glance.”

Sighing, Eileen smiled helplessly and said, “I was feeling a bit down, and seeing you on the phone made me feel even worse.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m just feeling sad that at 28, no one has ever given me that kind of heartfelt smile for me.”

After zoning out for a while, Eileen suddenly said, “I think, I might end up alone for the rest of my life.”

Gao Yang said solemnly, “You’re just in a bad mood today; don’t rush to conclusions about your life.”

Eileen shook her head and said, “You don’t understand.”

Gao Yang spread his hands and said nothing.

If a woman tells him he doesn’t understand, then he probably really doesn’t.

Just then, Gao Yang saw Taylor running out.

After seeing Gao Yang and the others, Taylor didn’t stop, just waved from a distance and then continued running past.

Normally, Eileen always ran with Taylor.

After waving at Taylor, Gao Yang said solemnly, “Postman is a good soldier, yeah, I plan to ask him to join Satan officially.

By the way, what do you think about Taylor?”

Eileen shrugged and said, “He’s pretty good, loyal, willing to do anything for friends, and just based on that, he’s qualified to join Satan.

Besides, his military skills are really quite good, and he’s skilled in what our team lacks.

I think he’s good, he can join Satan.”

Gao Yang gave a wry smile and said, “No, I’m not asking you about that.

I’m asking what you think about him as a person?”

Eileen was first puzzled, but then after thinking carefully and realizing what he meant, she furrowed her brows and said solemnly, “Are you asking about my feelings for him?”

Gao Yang nodded quickly and said, “Yes, yes, that’s it, what do you think about him?”

Suddenly Eileen became furious, her eyebrows raised, and with an angry push on Gao Yang’s shoulder, she shouted, “Who asked you to interfere in this kind of thing!

Do I need you to find me a man?

I’m not your private property; are you trying to meddle in my love life too!”

Eileen suddenly erupted, appearing extremely angry, but after hysterically shouting, looking at Gao Yang’s face dumbfounded and at a loss, Eileen’s face turned white.

Then she stood up, saluted sharply, and loudly said, “Sir!

Sorry, sir!”

Gao Yang was indeed frightened; Eileen had always been very respectful to him, and such uncontrollable outbursts showed that her emotions were truly out of control.

Gao Yang calmed his emotions and said to the regretful Eileen, “Sorry, it’s my fault, uh, I didn’t mean anything else.

Sit down, it’s okay; please sit and talk.”

Eileen hesitated for a moment but still sat down on the ground, only this time she sat a bit further away from Gao Yang.

After Eileen was seated, Gao Yang tried to say with as bland a tone as he could muster, “After we part this time, let’s take a long break.

You should go home, have a look around, play, and see the sights.

Who knows, you might run into your destiny.”

Eileen nodded silently.

Gao Yang thought for a while and continued, “I plan to go to Germany for a visit.

If you happen to be in Germany then, I’ll have a tour guide, won’t I?”

“Mhm.”

After Eileen hummed in response, Gao Yang felt a sense of frustration.

He wanted to comfort Eileen, but it was like a dog trying to bite a turtle – nowhere to begin.

Women’s hearts, needle in the sea bottom, Eileen was driving Gao Yang mad.

From any angle, Gao Yang felt responsible for enlightening Eileen, but when it came to comforting women, like Yelena, a little girl in the throes of love, Gao Yang now had some experience and knew what to do.

However, with someone like Eileen, who hid her thoughts and only showed a tough shell, it was a mystery to Gao Yang how to coax her.

Gao Yang’s expression was a bit awkward, showing his unease.

Trying to pacify the currently emotionally unstable Eileen was giving him a headache and getting him nowhere.

Noticing Gao Yang’s awkward expression, Eileen suddenly smiled and said, “Commander, don’t try to comfort a cranky woman, especially when it’s that time of the month for her.

You just need to go along with what she wants.”

Gao Yang smiled wryly and nodded, saying, “Oh, okay, I got it.”

Eileen’s expression changed again, her complexion suddenly improved, and she took out two cigarettes, lighting both in her mouth and handing one to Gao Yang, who accepted it naturally.

Eileen had always been very manly; her way of lighting cigarettes was quite common.

Honestly, only on rare occasions did the people in Satan remember that Eileen was a woman.

Gao Yang took a serious look at Eileen and then realized that she actually wasn’t bad-looking at all.

It was just her hair barely longer than a bald head and her pure masculine attire that made it feel awkward to think of her as a woman, that was all.

Gao Yang patted Eileen’s shoulder and said with a smile, “You, just don’t think too much.

Maybe one day you’ll fall for a man.

I still believe in destiny.

When destiny comes, everything will naturally fall into place.”

Eileen smiled and said, “Maybe, possibly, hopefully.

Oh, Commander, I got two new tattoos.

You haven’t seen them, have you?

Haha, of course you haven’t.

In fact, nobody has, except for the Tattoo Artist.

It took a long time to get these tattoos done, and many visits to complete.”

After finishing, Eileen nudged Gao Yang with her elbow and smiled, “Wanna take a look?”

Gao Yang also smiled and said, “Sure.”

Eileen took the cigarette in her mouth, stood up, and turned her back to Gao Yang, lifting her shirt all at once to reveal her entire back with a new tattoo – a massive Tyrannosaurus with its mouth open as if to bite.

Gao Yang was dumbstruck, staring at Eileen’s back where the terrifyingly lifelike Tyrannosaurus was inked.

The image was so shocking that Gao Yang was momentarily at a loss for words.

After a while, Eileen laughed and asked, “How is it?”

Gao Yang quickly replied, “Uh, yeah, it’s amazing, really beautiful.”

Eileen let her shirt down, turned to face Gao Yang with a half-smile, “There’s another, smaller one.

Wanna see it?”

Gao Yang nodded and chuckled, “Sure.”

Eileen looked at Gao Yang, waited a moment, then suddenly smiled.

She revealed to Gao Yang her other tattoo, which, unlike the one on her back, was located on the front.

Gao Yang’s eyes nearly popped out.

He instinctively turned his head away, but the lingering understanding of what Eileen’s tattoo was made him quickly turn back.

A massive Ram skull, with a pair of hugely twisted horns creating an arc, curvature forming a semi-circle from the top edge downward, with the Ram’s head extending downwards in the center.

The Tattoo Artist had done a good job, really too good, as Gao Yang was mesmerized by it.

Even though the tattoo was based on a herbivore, Eileen’s tattoo depicted the image of a Ram skull that often symbolizes Satan, except instead of the cruel and evil eyes one would expect, the skull had a gentle, affection-filled gaze.

Eileen had a structured figure, and the Ram skull design was very dimensional and visually appealing, leaving Gao Yang’s mind blank and him staring dumbfounded.

This time, Eileen did not let Gao Yang look for too long.

She quickly pulled her shirt back down, took the cigarette from her mouth to her hand, inhaled deeply, and then smiled, “Commander, thank you for spending so much time with me, and for trying to enlighten me.

Although you weren’t very successful, thank you for the effort.

Goodbye, I’m going back now.”

Eileen turned to leave but after taking one step, she turned back and smiled at Gao Yang, “Don’t tell anyone else.

Everything that happened today needs to be kept secret, and you better not misunderstand anything.”
