Mercenary’s War
Chapter 1032 - 1032 One Thousand Sixteen You Have Been Eliminated

1032: Chapter One Thousand Sixteen: You Have Been Eliminated 1032: Chapter One Thousand Sixteen: You Have Been Eliminated Gao Yang looked at his watch; fifty minutes had passed since those people started running.

The first to arrive took thirty-four minutes, which was actually a rather good performance, to be precise, it was very good.

After all, the record for running ten thousand meters at the Olympic Games was just under twenty-seven minutes.

Gao Yang considered all those who completed the run within forty minutes as excellent.

By that standard, there were quite a few excellent performances.

Gao Yang counted them, a total of twenty-eight people.

Additionally, there were two others who almost arrived simultaneously, with a time of forty-one minutes.

Gao Yang included these two in the excellent category as well.

There were thirty people in total, wearing clothes slightly different from the others; they seemed to belong to the same unit.

In terms of physical fitness, these thirty individuals performed very well.

Others included one who ran for forty-eight minutes and another who finished within fifty minutes.

Apart from those thirty from the same unit, there was only this one standout.

The remaining runners, twenty-six in number, completed the course within an hour.

Though they collapsed on the ground exhausted, unable to move at the finish line, considering that these people had not undergone much physical training, those who finished within an hour actually had quite decent physical fitness.

When the time reached one hour, Gao Yang put down his binoculars and looked back.

The running group was very strung out, with the main body not yet arrived.

There was a group that would finish in around an hour and a half, but there was also a substantial portion that simply couldn’t complete the course.

Some gave up halfway, and others would take three or four hours to return, which was meaningless.

Gao Yang turned to Gilanor and asked, “How far is it around the perimeter wall of the airport?”

Gilanor pondered for a moment, then said uncertainly, “It should be about nine kilometers.

I remember the exact length should be eight thousand seven hundred meters, but I’m not entirely sure.”

Gao Yang nodded and responded, “That’s all right, we don’t need to be so precise.

Let’s just call it nine kilometers.”

He then turned to the major who had brought the men and said, “Alright, you can tell the rest they don’t need to keep running.

They have been eliminated.

However, if someone really wants to join the Special Strike Force, they can continue to run.”

The batch of recruits was a mixed bag, but the long run had weeded out a proportion with relatively good physical fitness, which was not a bad outcome.

It’s just that the number of selected candidates was a bit low, only fifty-seven in total.

If Gao Yang had loosened the standards, such as accepting those who arrived at the finish line within an hour and a half, it looked like about a dozen more people might qualify.

But Gao Yang didn’t want to wait any longer.

Most importantly, those who were ready to start hurling insults couldn’t hold back any longer.

So after Gao Yang announced to the major that the rest had been essentially eliminated, he immediately turned and waved his hand at the group of eager scoundrels, signaling them to begin.

Having waited impatiently for more than ten minutes, the crowd dispersed in an instant, each targeting their chosen prey.

“Worthless!”

“Idiot!

You idiot, look at yourself.

Get lost, go home.”

Most operated on the principle of going full blast at one target, simply needing to provoke the person enough to throw a punch and win the twenty thousand US dollars.

After running ten kilometers, few could still stand, and all of them came from that well-performing unit.

Their ability to stand indicated they still had some energy and had received proper training.

They probably belonged to the proud and lofty type, who upon being insulted, would likely be unable to refrain from fighting back.

Many people shared this same thought, so the seven standing individuals were confronted by seven critics, making sure no one was left out.

Yake didn’t pick those who seemed easy to provoke; instead, he crouched down in front of a man lying on the ground and said softly, “You lie there in such a pose; are you waiting for someone to get on you?”

Once the man understood Yake’s implication, his already crimson face boiling with rage as he panted heavily on the ground, he immediately sat up, clenched his fists, and glared at Yake.

“Why are you looking at me?

You run like a woman, you look like a woman, even though you’re quite ugly!

Lying there, you’re like a whore in heat, what are you thinking of doing by sitting up and looking at me like this?

Perhaps you want to hit me?

Come on, hit me.

If you dare, do it.

Ah, if you’re afraid your punch is as weak as a woman’s, you can ask someone else to help you hit me.

Come on, hit me.”

While Yake was enticing his target, Ludwig took a stand in the middle of the crowd.

“Aha!

You lot of dumb and lazy idiots.”

With a roar, Ludwig drew everyone’s attention to him.

“Look at you bunch of garbage, tsk tsk, it’s an eye-opener indeed.

I knew there was trash in this world, but it was only after seeing you today that I realized what true garbage looks like.

Look at yourselves, my God, my stupid and crippled son with congenital brain damage and stunted growth runs better than you.

Oh, I can’t stand being in the midst of you rotting, stinking trash any longer.

I beg you, get up and vanish on your own, you nauseating creatures.

Oh, I’m going to puke!”

After turning his head and pretending to vomit, Ludwig yelled with a look of disgust on his face, “What are you looking at me for?

Get lost!

See how big I am?

If you don’t want to be squashed like a chicken, you better scram!

Watch out, or I’ll flatten you!”

The people lying on the ground scrambled to their feet like they had been stung by scorpions, while those around Gao Yang, such as the major who had brought the men, and Dani, were all wearing expressions of fury, merely restraining themselves from lashing out.

Finally, the person facing Yake suddenly threw a punch, and at least three people by Ludwig’s side shouted and swung their fists.

“I won!”

“I won!”

As Yake dodged a punch, he immediately loudly declared his victory, and almost simultaneously Ludwig began to shout.

Still getting hit in the chest, Ludwig continued to yell, “I won, it was me who won!”

The scene instantly became chaotic.

Seeing someone throw punches, none of the fifty-seven people was willing to stop, but it was clear that some were fighting one-on-one, targeting the person who had cursed at them, while most people were rushing towards the mockingly jeered Ludwig.

As for Yake, the person he ridiculed lost his mind like a madman.

Yake directed his taunts at him alone, and with the focused fire being too powerful, it drove the poor kid to lose his reason.

Though Yake knocked him down time and again, he immediately got back up and crazily pounced again.

If he had a gun in hand, he would have definitely shot Yake.

Gao Yang turned to Farouk and whispered, “Stand up, issue a loud command, and tell them no one is allowed to fight, whoever dares to continue brawling gets the boot immediately.”

Farouk stood in the middle of the chaotic crowd and bellowed, “Stop it!

All fall in!

Whoever throws another punch, you’re immediately eliminated.”

Although each one of them was seething with anger, upon Farouk’s commanding shout, those who couldn’t help but start fighting stopped their brawls quickly and formed a squad.

Most people looked dejected, but Yake and Ludwig quickly made their way to Gao Yang’s side.

Yake spoke with composure, “I won.”

Ludwig said with arrogant satisfaction, “It should be me, actually.”

Gao Yang spread his hands somewhat helplessly and said, “Although Big Mister drew more hatred, the two of you were hit at the same time.

I saw it clearly, so the two of you are tied.”

Ludwig immediately objected, “I attracted at least thirty people wanting to beat me up, so I am the winner.”

Yake slowly said, “They’d feel relieved after beating you up, but look at my guy.

He looks like he only wants to kill me.

That poor kid has gone insane.

In terms of intensity, I am the winner.”

Gao Yang snapped his fingers, pointed at those in formation, and suggested, “I propose you both go and insult them at the same time.

This time, if any of you can provoke someone to want to beat you up first, then you will be the winner.

Remember, you should mock them as a group this time.”

Yake and Ludwig were temporarily tied, and the rest had already lost the qualification to continue competing.

Yake and Ludwig looked at each other and walked to the front of the squad, standing about a dozen meters away.

After exchanging a glance, the two of them posed in an annoying manner, standing behind Farouk, taunting the group in turn with biting remarks.

Ludwig’s voice was louder; he roared, “Hey, you bunch of stinking trash, why haven’t you cleared off yet?

Waiting for me to clean up each one of you?

I can’t stand waste; be careful I might just beat you all down into trash, rubbish!”

Yake’s voice wasn’t as loud, but his expression and posture were truly annoying.

“Ladies, hello there.

Though you might be a bit ugly, your appearance sure is endearing.

Listen to me, you shouldn’t be soldiers.

You should be wearing pretty clothes, all dolled up.

I’d be more than happy to look after your business.

If you don’t know where to attract business, I can introduce you to some clients.

Really, I see great potential in your new line of work…”

Farouk stood at the front of the squad, face stern, but inside he cursed Yake and Ludwig over and over.

Finally, someone couldn’t hold back.

Although ordered not to fight or they’d be eliminated, some still roared and rushed past Farouk toward Yake, followed by at least a dozen people charging at Yake.

Yake raised his right hand, making a victory gesture, then turned and ran, while Ludwig was left with a look of disappointment, shouting, “You idiots should be coming after me!”

A total of sixteen people couldn’t hold back, launching an attack on Yake and Ludwig, but they still didn’t manage to gain much advantage.

Gao Yang stood up, drew his pistol, and fired a shot into the sky.

The gunshot subdued those who were fighting, and Gao Yang pointed at them and shouted loudly, “You!

You’re eliminated.”
