Mercenary’s War -
Chapter 1015 - 1015 1000 I Just Want Perfection
1015: Chapter 1000: I Just Want Perfection 1015: Chapter 1000: I Just Want Perfection After giving the order, Gao Yang organized rotational guarding, and everyone equipped themselves with simple gas masks hung around their waists.
Although they had encountered a chemical weapon attack once, the simple gas masks were not designed for chemical warfare.
Since chemical weapons could be fatal through skin contact, and without protective suits or air tanks, the simple gas masks were quite useless against chemical weapons.
Therefore, the gas masks were prepared for that particular thing.
What was that thing?
That thing was the Skunk Bomb.
They should have assigned a code name to the Skunk Bomb so that they could simply shout it out when needed to know what to use, but Gao Yang and his team were too lazy to come up with a new code name, and they simply referred to the Skunk Bomb as “that thing.”
Before coming, Gao Yang had obtained a batch of Skunk Bombs.
There were only two ways to use them: one was throwing them as Grenades, and the other was shooting them as Rifle Grenades.
Each person was allocated one Grenade, and whoever carried a grenade launcher would take two.
These items weren’t heavy; they just took up space.
Frey mischievously pulled out a green grenade, labeled in English as a “non-lethal weapon.”
Unable to suppress his laughter, Frey chuckled twice, his laughter sounding strange through the gas masks.
Pulling the pin, Military Dog showed the small screen to Frey, who then gently tossed the Grenade.
The Grenade made a soft sound when it hit the ground, and its rolling was quite audible.
Gao also leaned in to see the Grenade stop precisely between two doors.
Those guarding the door had already retreated indoors.
After waiting for about three seconds, Gao couldn’t help but say, “Why hasn’t it exploded yet?”
Just as Gao’s words ended, there was a soft pop, not very loud—like the sound of a small whip—but as the explosion occurred, Gao saw a liquid spraying outwards.
Immediately after the Skunk Bomb exploded, two people darted out from the doors on either side, but almost instantly, as they emerged, Gao heard them curse in unison: “F**k!”
Along with severe coughing, the people on both sides of the hallway quickly retreated, followed by loud door slamming sounds.
Gao waved his hand, and he and Li Jin pointed their guns around the corner, one above the other, now preventing the enemy from exiting the doors.
The enemy wore bulletproof vests, so Gao quickly switched to a revolver, followed by Ludwig holding his gun over Gao’s head.
Li Jin crouched, Gao hunched, and Ludwig stood, all three pointing their guns at the hallway, then they stayed motionless, just quietly waiting.
Sure enough, Gao had not even counted to ten when the doors that had been closed were opened again, accompanied by severe coughing.
Suddenly, several Grenades were thrown.
Watching the Grenades thrown terribly off mark, Gao and Li Jin pulled their heads back, but they kept their guns out, waiting to fire the moment someone rushed out of the rooms.
Meanwhile, Frey quickly threw two more Grenades.
After a burst of intense gunfire, all the people who ran out fell to the ground.
Gao counted six persons running out from two rooms.
Though wearing gas masks, Gao suddenly smelled an incredibly strong stench that nearly made him vomit.
Instinctually, he almost removed his gas mask, but he quickly realized the danger.
Even with the gas mask, the stench was unbearable; removing it would be fatal.
Bearing the nausea, Gao quickly advanced, then saw that many other doors in the hallway were still open.
As the smell spread, panicked shouts swiftly arose; most were in English, with only a few in Arabic.
“This smell!
It’s deadly!”
“Chemical weapons!
Is this a chemical weapon?
F**k, what’s going on!”
“Don’t panic, this isn’t a chemical weapon, it’s not!
Quickly find something to cover your mouth, close the doors, all of them!
Hurry up!”
Gao couldn’t help but smile at the thought.
From a distance, the smell was merely revolting and seemed insufficient to drive people from their rooms, but he wondered what the effect would be up close.
It seemed there weren’t few of them, but their response was slow.
Only two doors were closed before Frey had already thrown three more Skunk Bombs.
Frey throwing the Grenades was not much of a concern.
As the Skunk Bombs burst, they sprayed liquid into every room with an open door, followed by even more intense coughing.
“I can’t breathe, what the hell is this!”
Why keep the doors open, you might ask.
In indoor combat, closing a door meant only getting passively hit, while open doors, especially many doors open at once, could mean Grenades and bullets might come through at any moment, making it disadvantageous for the attackers.
Keeping doors open was the correct tactic.
However, with Skunk Bombs, anyone who closed the door too late would no longer get the chance to close it.
Some couldn’t endure and screamed as they burst out of their rooms, only to be shot dead by Gao and his team, while others tried to remove the sandbags blocking the windows, but they wouldn’t succeed.
The stench from the Skunk was unbearable, and the Skunk Bomb, designed to disperse crowds, was enough to suffocate, no exaggeration; even when used outdoors in open terrain, the stench could suffocate.
Skunk bombs are chemically synthesized, and let me tell you, their concentration can be adjusted.
Ordinary skunk bombs are enough to make one suffocate, while the ones Gao Yang’s team used were military-grade, used by Special Forces.
They were seriously capable of suffocating someone to death—no exaggeration.
The only problem was that those deploying the skunk bombs had to be very careful with their use range, or else they would end up tasting the smokiness themselves.
The stench kept intensifying.
Some stumbled out of the houses and were promptly shot dead on the spot, while others tried to remain inside but ended up collapsing and couldn’t move at all.
What followed was simple but brutal—open the door and shoot anyone in sight.
Gao Yang struggled not to vomit.
If he did, he would have to lift his mask, and lifting his mask would spell disaster.
After all rooms were cleared and no survivors were left, Gao Yang urgently said, “Corridor Four is swept clean.”
“Corridor Three is cleared as well, F**k, this thing is damn useful, but we can’t stand it much either!”
Gao Yang shouted, “Group Two and Three, hold the staircase, Fork!
Fork!
Go execute Plan B!”
To handle a Skunk Bomb was one thing; Plan B was the demolition plan.
Lacking heavy weapons and faced with a tough but critical target, Gao Yang’s method was to blow it up.
No heavy artillery, no thousand-kilogram bombs, no worries—there was Rafael, the Blaster.
Blasters are meant to blast.
To completely demolish a building wasn’t simple; hence, Gao Yang and his team needed to clear the ground floor, allowing Rafael and Alcohol to place C4 at critical points like the building’s load-bearing pillars.
With blueprints, Rafael, and Alcohol, who could also act as a blaster, and a whopping one hundred thirty kilograms of C4, this building wasn’t going to last.
When Gao Yang and his team reached the main lobby, they realized that once they had charged out, Farouk was fine with his gas mask, but the hostages, who originally covered only their noses, now scrambled towards the door.
Farouk yelled, “Come back!
It’s dangerous outside!”
The hostages stopped and then stuffed their clothes into their mouths and noses, only letting out muffled cries.
Rafael and Alcohol, each with two helpers, dashed toward opposite ends of the corridor.
There were load-bearing columns in the lobby, already covered with C4.
Rafael and Alcohol needed to fill other structural points with C4.
Demolition is a precise job, but without time to drill, they decided to simply increase the C4 quantity.
“Night Demon Two, ammunition is exhausted!
I can’t hold off the enemy reinforcements any longer!”
Gao Yang immediately said, “Night Demon Two, there are people who need you to extract them, is the alternate landing site secure?”
“Night Demon Two, third alternate landing site is good, move fast, out!”
Gao Yang then pointed at Farouk and bellowed, “Take your men and leave, fast!”
The Mi-24 had this advantage—once it ran out of ammunition, it could still serve as a transport.
Farouk ushered the recently rescued hostages towards the outdoors, while Gao Yang urgently said, “Night Demon Four, cover for Night Demon Two against the enemy.”
“Night Demon Four understands, but our ammunition is low, you must be quick!
Out!”
Gao Yang loudly asked, “Where are the main enemy forces coming from?
Over.”
“From the north buildings and the west.”
Gao Yang waved his hand and shouted, “Group Two, hold here!
Group Three and any unassigned members of Group One, follow me to intercept the enemy outside.
We must not let them get close—Plan B has to conclude, follow me!”
Gao Yang led the charge out of the building toward the life quarters building on the south side, shooting as they ran.
On this dark and turbulent night, with no moonlight and lacking night vision, the Rebel Army, though holding the terrain advantage and not too far away, could not precisely harm Gao Yang and his team.
In addition, Glolov on Night Demon Four continuously suppressed the exit of the southern life quarters building, making their operation relatively safe.
Gao Yang pointed toward the southern life quarters building, made a gesture, then detached four people to hold the building’s exit.
Glolov’s bullets were running low, and they had to block the enemies inside.
Gao Yang then led the remaining men to continue outward, establishing another line of resistance outside the yard wall.
Without a sniper rifle, Gao Yang was somewhat annoyed, but the current situation wasn’t too dire; the enemy hadn’t gotten dangerously close yet.
From the ground, Gao Yang urgently said, “Fork!
How much longer do you need?”
“Five minutes, give me five minutes!”
Gao Yang then loudly said, “Everyone listen, hold for five minutes, complete Plan B.
Our situation isn’t too bad—hold on, I want a perfect victory!
I only want a perfect victory!”
