Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy
Chapter 657 - 430 Hell Ghost

What!?

Mu Fan suddenly lifted his head, disbelievingly staring at the red light screen that flickered on and off ahead.

Until one second ago, Mu Fan had no idea the Shura Mecha even had something called a Core Consciousness Box.

Overload state?

And what exactly is Blood Inheritance Mode!

However, a blaze of the Flame of Fighting Will was stirring in his eyes, a light breaking through the shadows in this desperate situation!

"Shura, can this make us stronger?" he asked.

"Yes," replied the icy voice of Shura, candidly.

"Activate it!"

Mu Fan's voice rang out like the clashing of metal, heedless of the consequences.

All he knew was that this could make him stronger, and that was enough.

As for why and how, and what would happen?

He didn't need to care.

"Orders acknowledged, Core Consciousness Box activating, Blood Inheritance Mode initiating, forcibly entering Level 30 overload state!"

Level 30?!

The moment that number appeared, Mu Fan's consciousness froze.

This was a number unheard of across the whole Federation.

Did it mean physical enhancement to Level 30? What kind of state was that exactly!

However, as he pondered, Mu Fan suddenly felt the energy flooding into his body come to a halt, followed by an empty sensation.

Simultaneously, the fluctuating red light screen within the entire cockpit went dark.

And then, in less than half a second, it relit.

But this time, Mu Fan realized that the light was no longer the familiar bright red.

It was a purple akin to a sea of blood, a dense, settled shade.

Just looking at it brought a scent of blood to the tip of his nose.

No, it was the actual smell of blood!

Mu Fan's head snapped to the side.

A dense array of black pinpoints floated in the air; behind them, countless metallic wires twisted incessantly.

With his exceptional night vision, he could clearly see a round drop of blood perched atop each pin.

When had these pins appeared, and could those drops of blood be his own?

Impossible!

But just as Mu Fan was thinking, the pins stopped their dance and swiftly retracted.

With his eyes wide in fury and his body unable to move,

the pins on either side pierced into his body with drops of blood.

In that moment, Mu Fan felt as if thousands of needles were piercing through him.

Ah!

It was a pain so intense, as if every cell was being punctured, causing involuntary convulsions to rack his entire body. f r\eew,eb novel.c(o)(m)

As the dense pins pierced him with blood, the metallic tubes at his back finally started infusing energy again.

This time, amidst the severe pain, Mu Fan didn't realize that the energy flooding in no longer felt unbearable to his body; rather, his body opened up like an endless abyss, greedily accepting the energy flowing from the metallic tubes.

Ah!

The restraints on his limbs finally lifted at that moment, and in the cockpit, Mu Fan abruptly raised his head, eyes closed, letting out a thunderous roar.

In his consciousness, the tumultuous sea of blood overwhelmed him, scattering, tearing apart, and then reassembling.

The torment was soul-piercingly painful, until at last, he was too weak to make a sound.

In the end, all Mu Fan could feel was that sea of blood in his mind, converging into an endless space.

"Core Consciousness Box docking in progress."

This was the Shura voice that echoed within the cockpit, yet Mu Fan could no longer hear it.

His five senses had completely submerged into the Sea of Consciousness. He only felt as though he stood amidst a battlefield where fiery flames reached the heavens, surrounded by mountains of corpses and seas of blood, while above him loomed numerous terrifying shadows.

Those shadows resembled warships yet were not exactly warships; some even had the figures of Nightmare Beasts akin to Flying Dragons.

He couldn't name these horrifying apparitions, yet he knew they were all enemies from the terrifying realms of the endless Galaxy.

Mu Fan seemed like the only survivor walking alone in the vastness, searching for a way to live beneath the countless enemies hovering in the starry sky above and on the ground below.

As Mu Fan felt his feet step over a valley where blood converged into a river and then climbed over a hill, his body suddenly came to a halt.

For, before his eyes, appeared the back of a muscular man with his upper body exposed, his muscles rising like fine steel, sharp and distinct as rock weathered by a thousand years.

Scars crisscrossed that man's back, with a bloodstained longsword held in one hand, laying across his side.

As Mu Fan appeared, he just happened to see a drop of blood falling from the tip of the sword.

Then, this stagnant space seemed to come alive the moment he saw that figure's back!

Just as Mu Fan wanted to speak and inquire, a phrase thundered forth in the entirety of the space, and in his own mind—

"I was born in an era of chaos... unwilling to drift along... I desire to use my strength alone... to slice through the dust, to carve a future for my clan... a millennium of prosperity!"

This time, Mu Fan heard a man's faint whisper ever so clearly.

That faint whisper lingered in his mind, soft in volume, yet it struck like a bolt of Lightning, violently tearing through Mu Fan's mind.

This voice...

was not Shura's!

This voice...

made Mu Fan's blood nearly explode at that moment.

Within that faint whisper, he seemed to see a man, wild and unruly, proudly facing the vast universe.

On that man, he saw a chest as broad as the sky and blood as mighty and vast as the endless swirling Galaxy!

Shura is immortal, unbeatable!

For some reason, at this moment, Mu Fan's eyes brimmed with hot tears, and uncontrollably, he couldn't stop the tears from falling at the corners of his eyes.

It was a feeling of bloodline connection, an innate familiarity in his bones.

It was thicker than water, an indelible bloodline kinship that one is born with.

This man...

Who is he?

Mu Fan strained to see the proud man's face clearly.

Finally, in the blurred blood-colored world, the man plunged his longsword into the ground and slowly turned his head.

When that face appeared, Mu Fan's fiercely compressed heart even paused for a moment.

He seemed to see... himself!

But the age-worn face, the green stubble, and the crisscrossed scars were not his own.

And most strikingly, Mu Fan saw the vast Fighting Will in the eyes of that man, like a Galaxy.

The world began to warp little by little, as if this blurry space was about to vanish.

Mu Fan struggled to speak, but not a single sound emerged.

He only saw the man's grinning, a smile identical to his own, but the voice was deep and full of grandeur:

"My name, Agasura... Qi!"

The blood-colored world shattered in an instant, all visions disappearing, and Mu Fan's consciousness returned to reality.

Tears had already covered his bloodstained face.

The young man's lips trembled, finally speaking with difficulty amidst tears and blood:

"Father... is it you?"

Then, a terrifying power that Mu Fan couldn't understand began to surge within him, a tumultuous strength that seemed ready to tear apart his body and soul, spurring him to shred everything he saw before him!

A cold electronic voice rang beside his ear:

"Blood Inheritance Mode activation successful."

"Shura Second Tier stance initiated—Hell Ghost!"

A light purplish-red Flame rose from the longsword the Shura propped up.

Shura Hell, life and death illusory.
