Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy
Chapter 637: 410: I Forge My Name as Shura with the Lives I Take

Chapter 637: Chapter 410: I Forge My Name as Shura with the Lives I Take

The youth’s breathing and pulse grew weaker and weaker, and the sound of Black’s voice also became more and more distant.

But he could feel the burning in his chest.

That kind of burning…

Once, in a similar situation, he was betwixt life and death.

That inky jade-like blackness, that scarlet cloak, that saber that hardly ever left its sheath.

That figure that had stepped through the Galaxy!

That figure that also tore through space when it left!

Is that you… Shura?

The youth’s chaotic consciousness, after suffering heavy damage, somehow clearly transmitted such a sentence of longing.

Yet, other than a sudden increase in heart rate, he was powerless to do anything more.

And his consciousness, just after that brief moment of clarity, plunged back into silence and confusion.

That invisible fluctuation, however, did not falter for even a fraction due to the appearance of his consciousness, nor was it discovered by anyone.

It lit up, then dimmed.

The translucent, blood-colored light at his chest pulsed, at times bright and at times dark, as if it were a living heart.

But the splendor of this heart was known to no one, including the youth, including Black, including everyone else.

Meanwhile, above the canyon, an intense battle was still raging.

In the Outer Domain Galaxy, far from the Federation, on a strange and extremely remote planet, there lay jagged rocks and a multitude of fissures.

The most striking feature of this whole planet was its utter desolation.

Rocks, deserts, volcanoes, lava, black soil.

Almost no green in sight.

This planet seemed to be totally barren, utterly forsaken by life.

However, in a relatively flat, elevated region within a dormant volcano’s caldera, lay the corpse of a monster, massive as a mountain range.

Around this monster’s body, there were numerous deep pits similar to crater impacts, and countless crisscrossing gorges, the neat cuts nothing like natural formations.

This gigantic body, if placed on the Land of Bright Star, would alone fill an entire canyon.

Thick, brown armor shell covered the body, pocked and dotted, as though embedded with countless crystal stones of various shapes.

These crystals emitted a faint, purple glow that brightened and dimmed irregularly.

Even from afar, one could sense from this enormous monster a heartbeat-skipping aura, despite the presence of a massive, ten-meter diameter hole in its body.

As if pierced by immense force, this region had certainly witnessed an exceedingly fierce battle.

A hot, howling wind swept by, carrying the ubiquitous scent of magma, an inherent characteristic of this planet.

But now, the air carried not just sulfur but also a thick, unavoidable scent of blood!

For when one’s gaze moved past that monstrous corpse and looked around the body,

Spreading for ten kilometers, a hundred kilometers…

There were countless traces of blood, remnants!

There were human-like limbs, as well as the massive bodies of Alien Beasts.

Yet, notably absent was the slightest essence of life.

In the stillness of the scene, an exceedingly discordant color suddenly appeared.

Underneath the large body that was daunting to behold, there was a tiny black figure.

This mere six-meter figure, compared to the towering hundred-meter body, was so minuscule it was almost negligible.

It was a black Mecha, its left arm gone, only the remains of the shoulder armor left, with blood periodically dripping from the jagged edge of the broken Armor.

Sizzle~

Sizzle~

Each drop of blood fell on the caldera’s ground and reacted vehemently, as if it were molten iron.

The blood was scaldingly hot!

The Mecha was surrounded by a mist-like red brilliance, sparking like stars, sometimes solidifying, sometimes dissipating.

In its remaining right hand, it clasped a dark-red saber still sheathed, as if soaked in blood.

The wind rose, and behind it, a tattered multitude of red brilliance fluttered with the wind, condensing into a worn and aged Scarlet Cloak.

The black Mecha’s head had two blood-red lights that lit up, its right hand raised high, and then swung down fiercely.

The saber, still in its scabbard, instantly became a blur, and in a flash, returned to normal, maintaining the same sword-wielding posture as before.

But during that extremely brief instant, it was like a vast blood-colored lightning bolt flashing through the night!

A hundred-meter-high line of blood streaked across the mountainous body before it.

In the moment after time seemed to stand still, the large body thunderously split open to either side.

The cut was perfectly straight, as though even the blood was sealed within.

A slash…two pieces!

This black mecha raised its head to look towards the deepest split in the carcass before it.

At the deepest part of the carcass was a tiny, one-meter-square region, encased in a cage-like skeleton, from which a blood-colored glow emanated.

With a gentle downward press of the right hand, whoosh!

The claw blade shot out, directly clasping the skeletal cage, then instantly retracted.

The mottled and dilapidated palm, dragging the skeletal cage, clenched fiercely, and the bones instantly shattered to dust.

A crystal clear and splendid bloodstone, in that instant, became the focal point of the space.

This black mecha watched the bloodstone in its palm in silence, then the blood-colored eyes seemed to close, dimming their light, as the hand grasped the stone.

An energy wave started to surge from that fist.

The energy was surging and breathtaking!

Streams of it began to spread from the palm along the arm towards the body.

Was it actually absorbing the energy from the crystal stone?

The mecha’s energy supply wasn’t provided by a regular energy furnace, but rather replenished in this unimaginable way of plundering biological energy!

Dark red lines began to light up from the crevices of the mechanical shell and then converged at the core position in the chest.

“Energy replenishment 59%, 61%, 63%…”

As these figures appeared in the uninhabited cockpit of the mecha, the volume of the crystal stone in the palm also started to dissolve at a rate visible to the naked eye.

However, it seemed that only a fifth had dissolved so far.

Suddenly, as if a brief message from beyond crossed through space, swept over the land, and brushed past this black mecha.

The scarlet cloak billowing at its back abruptly stiffened.

All the bright dark red patterns around it also extinguished…

The act of absorbing energy suddenly ceased.

This black mecha seemed to freeze in place.

Then, after a very brief pause, the scarlet cloak abruptly rose!

Two rich, terrifying blood-colored lights reappeared at the head!

In that instant, the entire mecha’s aura suddenly climbed to a terrifying level.

A rusty and cold voice came from inside the mecha…

“Master…danger…”

Each word was uttered distinctly, yet the killing intent behind each word soared to the heavens.

After the crude voice fell, the mecha’s eyes in that moment transformed into two burning blood-colored flames!

Thud, thud, thud, thud!

Like the beating of war drums, like the surge of a throbbing heart, at this moment a powerful, majestic force erupted from within the mecha’s body.

The right hand suddenly spread open, the energy progress in the cockpit halted at 63%.

This black mecha had stopped absorbing energy.

Burning blood-colored eyes looked towards the crystal stone in the palm, then rapidly turned to look behind!

Behind it stood an ancient altar.

A dilapidated altar, like the mecha, engraved with symbols entirely different from those of the Federation’s language.

And eerily, the altar stood unscathed, without any signs of destruction, despite its location.

The black mecha turned and strode towards the front of the altar.

Without a shred of attachment to this source of energy upon which its existence depended, it pressed its right hand directly into the platform of the altar.

As the red crystal stone was placed within, the blood-colored eyes of the black mecha seemed to penetrate through layers of space and barriers to gaze into that distant Unknown Land.

There lay its mission.

The previously slowly absorbed bloodstone, in an instant, melted away like ice meeting flame.

A torrent of energy flooded into the entire altar at that momento.

A red luminescence enveloped the area, as a dazzling beam of energy shot straight into the clouds.

And then…

With a humming sound, a pitch-black space rift suddenly emerged within the altar.

This altar…was actually Ruins Technology capable of opening a Realm-Breaking Gate!

A rift approximately ten meters high radiated an unstable glow, hinting at the unknown at its other end.

However, the black mecha showed no hesitation; its scarlet cloak rising high, it stepped through and disappeared from view.

Leaving behind only that desolate, deadly still, an eerily frigid voice that seemed to freeze the world:

“With life taken, I forge…the name Shura…”

“Agasura…in attendance!”

The black space rift abruptly vanished.
