Mech: Shattering of the Galaxy -
Chapter 622: 395: Who Else?
Chapter 622: Chapter 395: Who Else?
(Congratulations to the new elder “West Wind Rains Trees”! Congratulations to the new helmsman “Jing’s Baby’s Husband”!)
Indeed, Mu Fan’s target from the very beginning was the nineteenth throne!
Xu Cangqi’s eyes sparkled with interest as he watched the Extreme Special Soldier running off; he suddenly remembered he did have some impression of this mecha.
Previously, when encountering a reckless attack, there was a mecha on the ground that had been watching him, which seemed to be this one.
The battle fervor that had barely ignited was extinguished already, boring.
The Blue Dragon Blade Machine continued to stand proudly atop the canyon, and as the number three seed player, he had no interest in such lowly amusements as slaughtering inferior mechas.
This was smearing his own reputation!
As for the direction the black mecha had charged into, it seemed several mechas had already gone that way, and it could turn into a bitter fight.
Good luck to him.
Shaking his head, Xu Cangqi retracted his gaze from the direction of the Extreme Special Soldier and turned to look into the distance; his own battlefield had not yet arrived.
Mu Fan didn’t know about the unique terrain of the nineteenth battlefield, but as the Extreme Special Soldier passed through a dense forest and climbed to the top of a low mountain peak, he stood on the summit and the panoramic view unfolded before him.
A colossal rift enveloped in mist appeared before him, looking as if it had been violently cleaved open by a magnified War Axe; the chasm was so deep it seemed bottomless, probably more than fifty meters wide.
However, what was unique was an artificial metal pathway, about ten meters wide, that spanned the gap, gleaming with a faint metallic luster under the starlight.
That was the only passage, and on the other side of the pathway was a large canyon that sprang forth as if skillfully carved out by supernatural powers.
At this moment, a faintly vibrating shield had completely enveloped this canyon.
This meant that the Iron Throne within had been activated, and the activator was that shimmering white Sky-splitting Bird.
At this end of the pathway, four mechas were positioned at four different points, none of them moving, as if they had been in a standoff here.
Mu Fan glanced over and saw that the four differently shaped mechas had all drawn their weapons, but six red dots were visible on the tactical screen.
Black’s voice echoed at the same time, “The Iron Throne is in contention, these four are waiting for the result, comprising two AAA-class and two AA-class.”
Mu Fan understood, not expecting that mechas had already entered to challenge the Sky-splitting Bird so quickly.
From his vantage point atop the peak, the Extreme Special Soldier naturally appeared on the radars of the four mechas; they only glanced casually in Mu Fan’s direction before losing interest, given the distance.
At that moment, the heavy metal doors at the entrance of the canyon suddenly began to open.
“It’s coming out.”
“But there was no system announcement, was there?”
The metal door was opening steadily, but just as it had opened halfway, a massive gray shadow burst out and then crashed forcefully to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust all around.
What was that?
The silhouette of the Extreme Special Soldier also stopped, and Mu Fan’s gaze, through the optical scope, captured this entire scene.
It was a gray mecha that had nearly been battered to pieces, with a shield scattered beside it, but the shield…
Mu Fan keenly noticed that the shield had not sustained any damage at all.
The dust had not even completely settled when a glistening white silhouette shot up into the sky, flying out from the interior of the canyon.
Behind it, three pairs of crystal-like white wings shimmered extravagantly under the light.
Resting in the mecha’s hands was a giant rifle, whose length surpassed the height of the mecha itself, overlooking the gray mecha below from midair.
This was… ejected by the Sky-splitting Bird?
The gray mecha on the ground struggled to its feet, its wobbly legs seeming as though they would collapse at any moment.
But as this scene unfolded, the Sky-splitting Bird’s rifle suddenly flashed brightly.
Bang!
A burst of sparks exploded from the left knee joint of the gray mecha, which hadn’t even stabilized, causing it to fall to the ground again, this time no longer able to stand up.
“I’ve already said that I’ve claimed this place, and yet some measly Shield user dares to come in, truly seeking death.” Xia Zuo’s faintly mocking voice permeated through the pearl-white Mecha, and these words immediately put the four Mechas into a state of high alert.
“Do you guys have a problem with me taking over this place?”
The Sky-splitting bird cast its gaze toward the four Mechas, its tone still carried that same casual mockery.
“Hmph!”
A gem-green Mecha began to emit a mysterious green glow between its hands.
Meanwhile, the Mecha that had been previously crippled on the ground pushed itself up with its arms and suddenly lunged to the side, grabbed the Shield and then suddenly swung it with force.
In the blink of an eye, the speed of the Flying Shield exceeded everyone’s expectations, impossibly fast, and even trailed a pale blue glow in the air similar to a Gauss weapon.
The Flying Shield darted rapidly towards the Sky-splitting bird.
“The War Shield Envoy’s unique weapon is really badass!”
Those who knew their stuff exclaimed in amazement; it seemed like people caught a glimpse of hope in that instant.
But suddenly, a loud shattering noise like the breaking of an air barrier came from the sky, and the previously calmly hovering Sky-splitting bird broke the sound barrier in an instant.
And it did so with a bewildering sideways flip.
The electrically charged Flying Shield hit nothing but an afterimage, then shot straight toward the heavens.
“I really hate those with no self-awareness. Well then, since that’s the case, let me start with you all. If there’s anyone else who can’t see what’s in front of them… then just die.” Xia Zuo’s voice exploded from the Sky-splitting bird that had returned to a quiet hover, laden with obvious impatience, and that level of annoyance exceeded by far the conversation he had previously had with Donatello.
After all, these people were utterly insignificant to him.
No sooner had the words fallen, than the giant rifle in the hands of the Sky-splitting bird suddenly rose, its muzzle flashing with a bright light.
This time, Xia Zuo didn’t say a word. Before anyone else could react, a dazzling beam of light over half a meter in diameter directly struck the prone War Shield Envoy on the ground.
Boom!
A radial crater appeared instantly, its edges vaporized, characteristic of the effects of a beam weapon, an attack of extreme high-temperature energy.
But the people’s focus wasn’t on the crater; what they noticed was the gray Mecha being blown away.
The tumbling wreckage reflected a faint luster, tracing an arc above the chasm…
And then it fell despondently.
But below was an Abyss!
“No!!”
All of a sudden, a middle-aged man with reddened eyes stood up in the corner of the special seats and roared with rage—this man was so close to the fat man and the others that White Hair and Harry could even see the man’s trembling throat and the unstoppable… tears rolling down.
Seeing this, the fat man and his friends fell silent.
The pilot of that gray Mecha must have had a special relationship with this person—family perhaps?
Seeing the Mecha being completely swallowed by the great chasm, a trace of sorrow couldn’t help but arise in people’s hearts over this cruel competition.
“Hahaha~~~ I gave you a chance to live and you refused it, insisting on seeking death. Who else is here? Don’t you dare come in today, I’ll just block you on this side of the chasm. Anyone who dares break through will end up just like this Mecha.”
A massive laugh echoed as rocks began to crumble down the mountain. Three sets of wings spread to their fullest, with countless small flames emerging on the wings, as the Sky-splitting bird ascended directly to the high skies above the canyon, looking down from on high at the four Mechas on the other end of the chasm.
The four Mechas below, unable to take to the sky, remained motionless at that moment.
In this terrain, fighting against the Sky King was an act of suicide; they admitted they had no means of hitting it with its capability to change direction at supersonic speeds at any moment.
“Hahaha… I ask you, who else is seeking death?”
The sound of taunting reverberated; Xia Zuo laughed unrestrainedly.
Just then, a flash of brilliant afterimage suddenly shot out from the mountain peak. Before anyone could truly react, it pierced the earth right in front of the chasm.
That patch of earth ignited into roaring flames, and amidst those flames, a resplendent long spear stood proudly.
The four Mechas suddenly looked back!
