Mated To The Cruel Prince
Chapter 562: The One Who Interrupted His Kiss

Chapter 562: The One Who Interrupted His Kiss

Unlike Islinda, who cowered in fear and was eager to face the King’s army, Aldric was by no means interested in ending the kiss. He let out a low growl against her lips, his desire burning hotter than ever as he grabbed her face and continued kissing her. In that moment, nothing else mattered to him but the taste of her lips and the feel of her in his arms. Others might as well go to hell for all he cared.

Aldric had wondered over a thousand times in his prison how he was going to face Islinda, but none of his imagination had come close to this. Islinda kissed him. No, his mate kissed him and admitted that she missed him too. That admission was the best gift Islinda could ever give him, and Aldric was clearly over the moon. His heart was elevated with joy, and he couldn’t help but keep kissing her luscious lips to show Islinda how much he lov...liked her.

However, that wonderful moment was soon shattered by the fools who infringed on their private moment, announcing with a loud voice, "Stop at once! Deliver the traitor, Islinda!"

Aldric ignored them, relishing the sweetness of his mate’s lips and the moans he drew from her. It filled him with pride knowing he elicited such a reaction from her. Islinda belonged to him. She was his. Others could wait till he was done. If he would be done.

Thinking of which, Aldric hoped he come with the medallion. That way, he would easily teleport them away to the castle considering he was horny as hell and couldn’t wait to have his wicked way with her. He would sheath himself deeply inside of her that she wouldn’t know where her pleasure ended and his began.

No, Aldric had a better idea. He would lock her up in his bed for a week. It would be just him and his mate. During that period, he would ensure her "garden" was watered, plowed, and seeded regularly.

He would find a way to deepen their bonding without Islinda knowing they were mates. And then, when he takes the throne of Astaria, he would tell her the truth. By then, she would be so in love with him she would have no choice but to forgive him for his deceit. By then, she would be his queen and no one would be able to touch a hair on her head.

"Last warning!" The captain ordered, "Surrender the traitor, Islinda!" His voice echoed through the surroundings.

One could imagine how confused the guards were after they successfully tracked down Islinda after her escape, only to find her in a compromising situation with a stranger they could not recognize.

Islinda finally managed to break apart from Aldric, her lips swollen and stinging from the intensity and long duration of the kiss. It was as if Aldric meant to eat her alive. His appetite was ravenous and impossible.

"We should listen —"

Islinda was still speaking when a loud whistling sound was heard and she watched as an arrow flew past error. Though it missed him, it nicked him in the face.

"By the gods..." Islinda was horrified when Aldric reached a hand to his face and it came off bloody.

They were still reeling from the shock when another arrow was released and it precisely tugged Aldric’s hood off before the arrowhead lodged on the wall somewhere else.

Aldric’s expression was unreadable but Islinda was no stranger and knew what was about to happen with that cold, cruel glint in his eyes.

"No...." Islinda shook her head, holding onto his arm to stop him from turning. "Violence is not the answer."

Aldric smiled at her, before curling his hand around her neck and pressing his lips to her once more. The kiss this time was tender and sweet and reassuring and shorter than the other one. But the guards proved they had no patience in their blood and they struck once more and this one hit Aldric on the side.

A grunt was all the indication that he had been struck and Islinda stared at the arrow sticking out of his side with horror. How could they do that to him?

As if trying to justify their action, the captain hollered at that moment, "Anyone who obstructs our arrest of the traitor Islinda will be killed instantly."

"See?" Aldric lifted a brow, "That’s pretty much the answer."

Aldric grunted as he pulled the arrow out of his body, frowning when he saw that it was made of iron. He tossed it away furiously. Why was everyone injecting such poisons into him lately?

"Stay here. Don’t make a move." He warned her gravely.

"But I —"

"Don’t!" He growled, eyes flashing dangerously as his primal side rose to the surface. Aldric would never forgive himself if anything were to happen to his mate while under his watch.

Islinda did not say a word and only nodded her head, watching grimly as the dark Fae prince stepped into view. She was not worried about Aldric losing against the soldiers who greatly outnumbered him by ten. No, she was worried about the carnage she was about to witness. This would be a massacre and her poor heart wouldn’t be able to take the sight.

"Prince Aldric?!"

Several gasps echoed and fear shook the guards such that they stepped back the moment the dark Fae prince stepped into view. Murmurs began to rise till it was almost a cacophony of voices and the fear was reflected in their eyes, the swords and crossbolts shaking in their hands at the sight of Aldric.

"Enough!" The captain echoed and there was instant silence, the others composing themselves at once. Thanks to the captain’s authoritative voice, some of their bravery returned, but they were still wary of the nefarious dark Fae prince.

"Prince Aldric, it is surprising to see you here. However, I have been put in charge of bringing in the traitor Islinda. She has to answer to her crimes of instigating the residents of Safe Haven to rebel —"

"So you are the one who interrupted my kiss?"
