Mated To The Cruel Prince
Chapter 340: Jealous Or Mad

Chapter 340: Jealous Or Mad

"What do you think we should do at this point? Do you think it’s going to smell? Would Prince Aldric taste the smell of cat piss in his mouth? By the gods, I’m stressed up right now," Issac paced up and down the room, rubbing his temple.

"Issac...." Maxi let out a sharp gasp when she noticed something and called to his attention, but Issac was full-blown panicking.

"Maybe we should change Prince Aldric out of his clothes? But what if he wakes up and thinks it’s strange? We could make it seem like Islinda did so...."

"Issac!" She hissed this time, grabbing him by the arm and pinching him tight enough to draw his attention.

She tipped her head, "Look."

Issac looked.

And that was when he saw it, Prince Aldric was slowly rousing from his sleep. He turned to Maxi with round eyes, "Could it be...."

Maxi nodded her head, "Who knew a Wrry cat’s urine was medicinal, I wonder what else it could do?" Her eyes brightened with an idea, "Thinking of which, perhaps I should try next time with my urine."

Issac deadpanned.

She clarified, "Horse urine."

Issac frowned, "Are you trying to say you would drug Prince Aldric just to carry out your experiment?"

"Of course not silly," Maxi chuckled, caressing his cheek, "Why bother with Aldric when I have you, my shy Fae."

The blood drained from Issac’s face and he could not utter a word, shocked by her comment. Someone, please tell him Maxi did not mean that and was merely pulling his leg.

Unfortunately, there was no opportunity to ask her that because the room suddenly plunged into coldness as a chill formed in the air and they both knew not to utter a word.

Aldric was awake.

The both of them held their breath while watching as Aldric looked around disoriented. Then he glanced at his wet tunic, "What in the Fae?" His nose crumpled at the smell.

Then his sight fell on them.

Call it weird but Issac couldn’t help but feel like there was something different about the dark Fae prince. His eyes were so cold it was a surprise he hadn’t turned him into an ice statue. It was almost as if he looked at him with the same disdain the day he found out about his betrayal which left Issac confused. Hasn’t he forgiven him?

He even had to beg Issac for help and the dark Fae prince had even been warm towards him to the point of inviting him to join them for dinner. So what changed? Had he done something wrong? Did he wake up on the wrong side of the bed or was it about the urine on him?

Fuck, it had to be the urine.

"Your Highness," Issac curtsied and went over to the bedside, saying, "Allow me," He intended to take off the ruined tunic only for Aldric to swat at his hand.

"Get lost." He spat out, his eyes flashing with anger.

Issac retreated awkwardly, confusion on his face while swallowing down a lump. But even with the prince’s murderous expression, he summoned the courage to ask, "Have I done something wrong, your highness?"

"You have the guts to ask?!" Prince Aldric said through gritted teeth "I don’t care to know what twisted deal Islinda and my...." He trailed off, catching himself at the end having revealed too much.

He lifted his hardened expression, "Get out of my sight this instant

Issac looked at Maxi, throwing his hands up in resignation, "There you have it, second in command, I’m sure you can fill him in on what’s going on," He gave Maxi a wry smile before he turned and left the room, shutting the door with a bang.

Silence descended in the room until the dark Fae prince climbed out of the bed, simultaneously taking off the tunic at the same time and tossing it to the corner of the room without care. He ambled over to his wardrobe and began to rummage for an outfit while Maxi’s gaze followed him with an unsmiling face.

She finally broke the silence, saying, "I can safely say that you have been given back the reins, isn’t that so Aldric?"

As his trusted partner in crime, Maxi knew that Prince Aldric had a splintered mind and kept the secret carefully over the years.

Still searching for an outfit that was not influenced by that damned Eli, Aldric gave her a dark look from over his shoulder, "Not you now, Maximus."

Maxi’s countenance changed and she walked over to him while he changed. She sneered, "You know for once, I wished your alter ego took over completely and I didn’t have to deal with you!"

"Well, sorry to disappoint you then, I’m back and there’s no letting him in control ever again!" Aldric retorted, his eyes turning black with the powers he was barely able to control.

It was the side effect of switching personalities. It was like starting up again and had to get updated with the latest happening, depending on the information his alter ego released to him. And right now, he could sense the bastard was holding back a lot. And he would find that out, even if it took time.

Aldric was about to take a step when his mind was slammed with an onslaught of information, so much so that he staggered from the effect and Maxi had to hold him up.

"Fuck!" She led him over to the edge of the room.

"Sit down. You need a few minutes to recover," She pointed a finger at him, "And don’t you dare say a word." Maxi warned him.

Prince Aldric glared fiercely at her, but there was nothing he could and grunted in defeat. He knew she was right but he was feeling a little sore knowing his alter ego was able to lock him out for two nights. He couldn’t stand the thought of it. And to think he took Islinda.

Fuck!

One could not tell whether Aldric was simply jealous or mad.

Suddenly he stiffened when he grasped a certain information in his head and his head jerked in Maxi’s direction.

"Where is Islinda?"
