Mated To The Cruel Prince
Chapter 305: Visiting His Family

Chapter 305: Visiting His Family

For over a minute, Maxi gaped at Issac like a moron and he had to wave his hand in her face to rouse her attention.

Maxi blinked at him, sitting up immediately with her eyes roving across the room as if trying to understand where she was.

"Are you alright, Maxi?" Issac was concerned about her, thinking he had broken her or something.

She looked at him with a blank face, "Why did you just say?"

Issac swallowed, his mouth opening and closing on its own as he wondered if it was the right thing to make such a request when it had stupefied her the first time.

However, she waited eagerly for a response and he sighed heavily before saying," I was hoping that you would meet my mother, Maxi." He now waited for her reaction nervously and Maxi did not fail to disappoint.

She got off the bed so quickly that Issac could not catch her even if he tried, and then she began to pace about the room anxiously. When Issac said he had a confession to make, she expected him to define their relationship and remind her that whatever they had would not last. She was a dark Fae after all and they could not be together. This was only a fling.

Issac got up to his feet too, cautiously heading towards her, "Maxi?"

She spun around suddenly, startling him, "I have never heard of lovers meeting her partner’s people less than two days of them dating! Isn’t that a little too early, Issac?" Maxi was freaking out.

Yes, the strong horse Fae shifter with no filter was breaking down at the thought of meeting Issac’s family. It was that horrible. This was worse than death!

"I know, I know.... " Issac tried to explain to her, but her pacing up and down naked was dizzying, leaving him with no choice but to reach out and grab her shoulder, keeping her in place. Then he began to explain to her.

"It’s my mistake. Trust me, Maxi, I didn’t mean for this to happen but things turned out that way. I would never rush you to meet my parents, at least not without prior discussion with you and not in less than two days of being together. However, after our horrible fight, I returned home to my family and my mother somehow found out that I was running from my mistake after hurting you the last time. She demanded that I apologize to you and then I bring you home so she too could apologize for raising an irresponsible son." He cringed at the end.

Blood rushed to her head and she was rendered speechless by the time Issac was through. The dark Fae shifter was not scared of anything in this world, not even death – it was a natural occurrence – except meeting the mother of the Fae she loved fucking. Maxi swallowed visibly, thinking of other alternatives that don’t involve seeing his mother face-to-face

"I could write to your mother, tell her that I’m good now and she doesn’t need to invite me to her humble abode. She wasn’t even the one who hurt me," Maxi let out a laugh to ease the tension, but it came out awkwardly. This was simply ridiculous.

Issac grimaced, "I don’t think a letter would satisfy her curiosity and Oma is so determined, she might really journey here to seek you. "

"Holy Fae! You have one badass mother!" Maxi exclaimed in both horror and awe.

Issac smiled, scratching the back of his nape slightly in embarrassment. It was at that moment that an idea hit him.

"What if you don’t have to go?"

"What?"

"I mean you don’t have to come with me if you are not comfortable with the idea. My mother doesn’t even know your face, which means I could pay a Fae to go with me. There are several females in the castle I could convince to –" Issac was still saying when Maxi cut him off with a low, threatening growl.

A rush of jealousy and rage ignited in Maxi and she wanted to tear apart any female that might attempt to go with Issac to see his family. She would rip out that bitch’s throat who would dare to take her place. Or even pretend to take her place! Maxi could not control the primal, feral possessiveness she felt towards Issac. He was hers, no one else’s.

"I’ll go with you," Maxi finally agreed while Issac stood frozen on the spot. He blinked at her savage aggression, taking note not to make her jealous in the future. Only the gods knew what she would do if she saw a female in his arms.

"S-sure." Issac stuttered, still finding it hard to believe she agreed just like that.

However, Maxi began to panic, "But then, what if your mother doesn’t like me? I mean, I’m a dark Fae! Perhaps, this is a bad idea. By the gods, what if she sees through my glamor?! She would report me and that would be the end of me! Or maybe it would be the end of us since she wouldn’t like me anyway –"

Issac kissed her on the mouth to shut her up for once. She moaned, parting her mouth for his tongue to plunge in and tangle with hers. Their kiss was not hurried, but a leisurely one, as if they had all the time in the world and this moment belonged to them. Their tongues moved against each other, satiated and lazy.

When they came up for air, Issac placed a kiss on her forehead, "You have nothing to worry about, Maxi. My mother doesn’t make huge demands and would accept you the way you are. Rest assured that no one will lay a hand on you while I’m there. I hate to say this but Oma is one of a kind and unlike me, she doesn’t discriminate. She would not let anything happen to her guest, as long as you didn’t harm the people she holds precious. " He promised her.

Maxi pressed her forehead on his with a long sigh, "Have I ever told you that you’re the first male that I dated and would be visiting his family? "

A broad smile appeared on Issac’s face," Well, I’ll be honored. "
