Chapter 958: Chapter 633: Confrontation (Part One)
The children were swiftly transferred, including Nuonuo, all of them were moved to the submarine.
If Mu Lin’s speculation was right, the person who looked down on them was the mastermind behind this incident.
However, Mu Lin had already sent the photo via satellite to Zhou Qi, and at this moment, the information had made its way back to her hands.
Auli Streler, formerly one of the top figures in an international Mercenary Organization, had clashed with Special Forces and SWAT, and was a person whom the international police wanted but could not apprehend.
Agile and ruthless, cunning in nature, they had already lost several people to him.
But over one year ago, for some unknown reason, he broke away from that organization and subsequently vanished without a trace. Some said he was eliminated by his own Organization for betraying it.
Yet unexpectedly, this time’s incident was related to him; he was actually still alive.
But wasn’t he the one who looked down on them the most? Yet this time, he targeted their children.
"The investigation results we have come back with are as follows," a voice rang through the earpiece next to Mu Lin’s ear, "over one year ago, he narrowly escaped death, afterwards he gathered some mercenaries who had been on good terms with him and secretly established an Assassin Organization, hiding in Y Country for a long time, sometimes accepting assassination jobs; our suspicions from the assassination incident that occurred in S City half a year ago, was their doing; there were also a few in Y Country, at that time their Organization hadn’t been investigated, but now we have uncovered it all."
"So," Mu Lin said in a cool voice, "you mean to say that they abducted our children to train them into assassins?" This seemed like an overly complicated endeavor.
"That’s what I believe." However, "we’ve also found out that not all the children are of interest to them."
Mu Lin raised an eyebrow, "So, if they’re not of interest, then what?"
The other party: "If not of interest, they will sell those kids. In some places, children are highly coveted." To certain people, they are quite fond of beautiful dolls; however, if these children are sold... one can imagine what would become of them without much guessing.
Apart from tragic, they can think of no other possible outcomes.
To tell the truth, they had no chance of finding the children who had already been sold; the only consolation was that this time, it was only their second transaction.
If possible, Zhou Qi really wished to rush to the front lines just like Mu Lin and Jing Chen, but unfortunately, his identity made it impossible.
Hearing Zhou Qi’s words, Mu Lin’s elegant eyebrows knitted tightly. She understood the implications of his words, as did everyone, and right then, the fists of Ying Sun’s team members were clenched tightly.
This was the fate of the children they had just rescued! If Little Nuonuo hadn’t gotten involved this time, they couldn’t bear to think of what would have happened to those children.
Mu Lin: "Didn’t you just say that we are the ones he looks down upon the most?" She had seen this for herself just a moment ago, that disdainful look.
"But he does not deny the capabilities of some opponents," the other party said; in other words, "although we have suffered losses at their hands, they too have taken losses at ours." With a cold huff, his annoyance was apparent.
This was also why they wanted to select some of the children to take back and train.
As for why they primarily chose good-looking children, only they knew the reason, perhaps it made the trade easier.
And the reason for choosing to deal in international waters was because no one pays attention to what happens there, and also, they probably don’t want to start any conflict with this side for now, since their Organization is not that large yet.
Unfortunately for them, it seems this time they can’t avoid it if they wanted to.
It was their misfortune to have run afoul of the Jing family; in the Jing family, no one is easy to provoke.
After a brief pause, the other party added: "Your location is in international waters, so our people and aircraft can’t get too close, or it will provoke protests and attention from other nations." That meant they could only offer consultation and support from the shore.
The speaker was Zhou Qi; they were taking down certain influential people from the rear, rooting out the organization involved in the child trafficking network.
Mu Lin nodded, "I understand." After so many years in the military, there were some things she was quite clear about.
"To deal with them, we have enough people." After a pause, Jing Chen moved a step closer, "In three hours the kids will be returned to our jurisdiction, remember to receive them."
"Is my Nuonuo there?" Surprisingly, the old master was still involved.
Jing Chen: "Yes."
The old master: "That’s good." He let out a sigh of relief; after a pause, he continued with his instructions: "Remember to protect Linlin, your wife. If even a hair is harmed, I will hold you responsible."
Still, the granddaughter-in-law is held in higher regard than the grandson.
Lord Jing: "Guarantee mission completion." This did not require anyone’s instructions.
The members of Ying Sun: "Guarantee mission completion!"
...
On the yacht, when Mu Lin returned, the other side asked, "How come you took so long, where are they?"
Mu Lin: "They’ve all been brought up. They’re just outside on the deck."
"Why didn’t you bring them in?" the other side frowned, not looking too pleased.
Mu Lin smirked, "I just thought that it’s clearer to see from outside." Although the twilight was gradually turning to darkness; night was about to take over.
"What if I insist on seeing them inside?" At that moment, Auli, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke. His sharp eyes had a bloody intent, those were the eyes of someone who had seen too much death.
Mu Lin spread his hands, "If that’s the case, then let’s pick them out inside—go ahead." After speaking, he clapped three times with a ’snap snap snap’.
Fully armed, with perfect military posture, they uniformly stepped into the cabin, guns in their hands simultaneously aiming at the people in front of them; led by Jing Chen, they finally stood firmly behind Mu Lin.
Mu Lin: "What do you think, are you satisfied?" His lips curled in a teasing, albeit frosty, smile.
Auli Streler: "Looks indeed good." It was unclear if he concealed his emotions well or was simply too composed; there was no trace of change on Auli Streler’s face.
The glimpse of light in Mu Lin’s eyes was elusive, a deep ambiguity that made him difficult to read.
As for the others around, at the moment Ying Sun’s people stepped into the room, they had already been greatly startled. Facing the uniform barrels of the guns, they immediately raised their own weapons to retaliate, and the standoff ensued.
They did not understand why soldiers would suddenly appear here. Their eyes turned towards Mu Lin, the man from R Country, "You betrayed me!" His eyes were incredibly cold, filled with murderous intent. If it wasn’t for Jing Chen and his team, he probably would have tried to kill her already.
However, upon hearing his accusation, Mu Lin’s light smile remained, "To betray you is a tall hat I have no intention of wearing." As she finished speaking, a thin, nearly transparent layer peeled from her face, revealing her cool, stunning visage to all eyes present.
Everyone was astounded.
The members of Ying Sun felt as though clouds had parted to show a clear sky; Sister-in-law was really cleansing their eyes!
Somebody’s appearance was truly hard to watch.
Soldiers.
Auli Streler’s eyes were deep, "I remember, I haven’t done anything to warrant the intervention of Special Forces." Indeed, he had kidnapped some of their kids, but he was certain that wasn’t a task for the Special Forces.
Moreover, this was international waters.
"You’re right," Mu Lin nodded, as if deep in thought. Yet, as she looked up the next moment, she imparted a chilling sensation exclusive to her alone. She slowly curved her lips and said leisurely, "Who told you to unfortunately kidnap my son?"
Although, admittedly, it was he who offered himself right to their doorstep.
Mu Lin’s gaze turned cold, but the smile on his lips persisted, "Auli Streler, don’t you think that the people I’ve brought are more suitable? There’s no need for you to train them any further since they’re already skilled." There was only one precondition, they had to be... subdued.
Observing Mu Lin’s seemingly amused expression, Auli Streler admittedly did not want to provoke soldiers, especially Special Forces soldiers. They were much more troublesome than police and Interpol; once entangled with them, you could never shake them off for life.
Unfortunately, it seemed he had already provoked them.
This Eastern woman before him, although seemingly quite beautiful, allowed him to sense the danger emanating from her with just one look.
This woman was definitely not that simple.
And then! His gaze shifted slowly to Jing Chen behind Mu Lin, his aura subconsciously generating wariness.
Women, Auli Streler never took them seriously, even if they were dangerous. But men! Especially this man before him, the leader of the Special Forces, was the existence he needed to pay most attention to.
The temperature in the air seemed to be dropping steadily, and the next moment, fangs were bared.
