Mated at First Sight
Chapter 758 - 504

Chapter 758: 504

At least, when looking into Mi Zheng’s eyes at this very moment, it’s quite dazzling. If he could, he wouldn’t hesitate to destroy it.

"Madam." The playful look was already gone from his face, Mi Zheng stared at the ring on Mu Lin’s hand, feeling a chill. His charmingly handsome face now seemed frozen.

"Perhaps the madam has never mentioned it, but we’re already married." The smirk on Jing Chen’s lips was extraordinarily sweet, but his gaze at Mi Zheng was icy cold.

He knew it, this man, in front of him, had inappropriate desires for his wife. Distastefully so.

Unfortunately, whether it be inappropriate desires or anything else, he would never allow them to take root; he’d strangle them in the cradle. These types of things, Jing Chen rather enjoyed doing.

The atmosphere in the air became oddly strange in an instant.

Staring unblinkingly at Jing Chen’s handsome, icy face, after what seemed like forever, Mi Zheng laughed in anger, "Well, really... although I’d like to say congratulations, I have to admit, what I’d rather say now is... after marriage, isn’t there also divorce?" After saying these words, his gaze fell once again upon Mu Lin. "I don’t mind." I’m waiting for you.

This last bit, was a blatant provocation to Jing Chen; as for those two silent words: waiting for you; those were directly aimed at Mu Lin.

The provocation, was indeed genuine.

However, Jing Chen simply looked at him calmly, "Rest assured, you won’t get the chance."

There wasn’t any change in his facial expression, but Mu Lin could sense it. Her husband was angered.

In truth, there was no need to hold back.

But Mu Lin knew, her husband was actually considering her feelings.

With a gentle smile, Mu Lin casually glanced at Bi’an, "Mr. Bi’an, you must be very busy. We will not disturb you any longer." She slightly nodded at him, appearing courteous.

Although they were enemies, at this very moment, it seemed as though they were exchanging polite greetings like old friends.

Jing Chen enjoyed calling her "my lady". Occasionally, Mu Lin would also call him "my lord".

After saying this, Mu Lin and Jing Chen passed by Mi Zheng and walked forward. She didn’t like seeing her loved ones upset.

Mi Zheng’s lips curved up, his expression unreadable. Without saying a word, he took a step, heading in the opposite direction from Mu Lin.

"My lady’s suitors are as abundant as ever." His romantic rival, they really seemed to crop up everywhere. He didn’t even have the time to deal with them.

"Likewise." Mu Lin chuckled, "But my lord, haven’t you forgotten, your suitors are far more abundant than mine, not to mention, they’re the type that are readily available for the picking." That gaze of hers, it was as if she wanted to devour him entirely. As for his admirers, they probably wished she didn’t exist.

Hearing this, Jing Chen smiled.

Alright, it was indeed likewise.

Even though, he didn’t quite feel the presence of any admirers by his side.

Jing Chen wondered, did he have any admirers around?

Of course... not at all.

Hand in hand, both of them leisurely returned to the Gong family home.

This place, Mu Lin thought, might become her home in the future; of course, on the premise that she would first have to clean up all the dirt.

There was no choice, she reasoned, she wouldn’t be able to turn a blind eye; otherwise she wouldn’t be able to sleep soundly.

Returning to their room, the night passed quickly.

And Mu Lin’s room was arranged in the courtyard next to Gong Muxue’s. Likely, they had deliberately arranged it this way to bring them closer and make it more convenient for her treatment.

The night passed in a flash.

Early the next morning, Gong Yu had already arrived from outside with a big smile on her face, just as Mu Lin had gotten up.

"Mu Lin..." She knocked on the door and looked at Mu Lin sitting by the bedside. Then, she hopped in on the count of three and swayed up to Mu Lin, "I’m here to take you for breakfast." Then she turned her head and looked around, "Where is Brother Jing?" She hadn’t seen him this early in the morning.

"Well, isn’t he right behind you." Mu Lin looked at the door and smiled.

Her husband, he really knew when to make an appearance.

Gong Yu turned around and was startled by Jing Chen, who had appeared quietly behind her.

Good heavens, he moved so silently it was terrifying; this kind of man, indeed only Mu Lin could handle; in her case, she’d probably be scared to death.

"Big Brother Jing, Grandpa asked me to call you guys for breakfast." Gong Yu laughed sheepishly to cover up the fright her little heart had just received. When facing Jing Chen, she always felt as if she was facing her own grandfather, her heart pounding nonstop.

"Hmm." Jing Chen nodded curtly, put the things in his hands aside, and then walked over to Mu Lin.

Mu Lin stood up and looked at Gong Yu, "Your family, you always have breakfast together?" Although they didn’t do so last night.

A big family, they should all be together, right? Does that imply, she will need to meet some people she didn’t want to see?

Gong Yu nodded, "We usually eat together; but, there will be more people today." She preferred last night when it was just a few of them.

"More people?" Mu Lin raised her eyebrows at her. What did this mean?

"Mu Lin, you don’t know this, but after dinner last night, my little aunt woke up and was looking for her daughter everywhere. Just when you and Brother Jing went for a walk, my uncle said it took them herculean efforts to calm her down."

"So." Mu Lin smirked.

"So, my little aunt will have breakfast with us today."
