Chapter 735: Chapter 489: Provoking Trouble vs Attracting Romance_1

The sky was clear as crystal.

At that moment, Mu Lin and Jing Chen were already on a flight to C Province. Mu Lin, nestled against Jing Chen, was sound asleep, while Jing Chen simply watched her in quiet contemplation.

"Excuse me, sir, do you need anything?" The flight attendant approached Jing Chen, leaning slightly towards him.

She carefully stole a glance at his face.

Over her many years of service, she had encountered quite a few handsome men. However, this was rare - a man as breathtakingly handsome as he was exuding such a powerful aura, she never quite seen someone like him before.

If he hadn’t called her over, she wouldn’t have dared to get close. Each time she passed by his seat, she would cautiously move to the opposite side of the aisle.

His presence, while visually appealing, was also quite daunting.

However.

The flight attendant couldn’t help but feel a hint of envy towards the woman nestled comfortably in the man’s arms. The man’s cold demeanor seemed to melt away, as if all his warmth was reserved for her alone.

The two seemed so perfectly matched with each other.

"Could you bring me a cup of warm water, please?" Jing Chen’s response was cool and apathetic. He caressed Mu Lin’s hair gently.

"Of course, sir. Please wait a moment." The flight attendant withdrew with a sigh of relief. When she returned, Mu Lin had already awakened.

It was only then that she seemed to truly understand.

"You’re awake. Have some water." Jing Chen received the water from the flight attendant. After thanking her, he brought the cure to Mu Lin’s lips. She took a couple sips and shook her head to indicate that she didn’t want any more.

He drank the remaining water from the cup before handing the blanket back to the cabin crew.

Seeing their interactions, the flight attendant was surprised. It was unusual in the first-class cabin to see a nobly born man drink after someone, even if that someone was his own girlfriend. He must really love her.

Her happiness was enviable indeed.

Love affairs in wealthy families were generally rare.

After all, the clientele they serviced in the first-class cabin mainly consisted of the wealthy and the affluent, most of which were flirtatious playboys. Some, at the sight of a pretty woman, wouldn’t hesitate to harass or even molest.

Gentlemen were few and far between; of course, some did try to pursue, but whether they were sincere or just playing around was questionable. She had yet to meet a man truly in love.

Once more, the flight attendant cast a longing look at Mu Lin, took the cup and walked away.

"Feeling sleepy?" Jing Chen asked with a smile, looking at a yawning Mu Lin.

Mu Lin shook her head reflexively. "Not anymore." But as soon as the words left her mouth, she let out another yawn.

It’s almost as if she slapped her own face with her words.

Jing Chen laughed lightly at Mu Lin’s response, his demeanor completely different from the cold front he had put up earlier.

"Are we close yet?" Mu Lin asked offhandedly as she stared at the sky outside the window.

Looking down at his wristwatch he replied, "More or less an hour left. You also didn’t sleep for very long." It was still the morning, so it was unlikely she was feeling particularly drowsy.

Mu Lin nodded without speaking, idly fiddling with Jing Chen’s large, sturdy hands while leaning casually against him, her gaze fixed out the window.

A bit bored.

As time trickled by, a man in civilian clothes walked by Jing Chen from their side. Mu Lin pulled her gaze from the window and watched his retreating figure.

"It seems like something’s happened?" The man’s aura didn’t seem to belong to an average person.

"Mmm." Jing Chen replied nonchalantly; the man’s steady stride, clearly indicating someone who had undergone training, much like those in the military.

Considering that he was free to walk around the cabin, he was likely a crew member on the plane.

As expected, just moments later, a man dressed as a Captain and a woman whose uniform differed slightly from the flight attendant’s rushed past Jing Chen and Mu Lin. Their stride, a bit too hurried than usual.

Seems like, something did indeed happen.

Shifting her body slightly, Mu Lin’s expression remained unchanged. She sighed, "It seems like every time I’m on a plane, there’s bound to be some kind of issue." This was not lost on her from her past experiences, "Out of ten flights, at least six have some sort of incident." Her tone was one of helpless frustration, though it wasn’t her fault.
