Chapter 545: Chapter 371: Mu Lin Invites Trouble (Third Update) _2
With that, she charged furiously toward Mu Lin — or rather, the space behind him, intent on taking her revenge.
Unfortunately, her scheme backfired.
With a slight shift, he smoothly positioned himself between her and the stewardess. As her robust figure lunged at him, he raised his foot effortlessly and sent her sprawling outwards. The altercation caused quite a stir, disrupting the quiet atmosphere.
In her surprise, she fiercely thrust her dagger toward the fallen body, her shrieking screams ripping through the quiet. She instinctively tried to fend off the dagger with her arm, but the blade sank deep into her fleshy arm, again and again.
Then...you could only imagine the horrifying scene.
Mu Lin watched the scene, his lips curling into almost a smile, "Sorry, it was just a reflex action. I couldn’t help it." Yet, there was no real apology in his words.
However, thanks to Mu Lin’s distraction, the stewardesses managed to apprehend the struggling girl, one held her knife-wielding hand, and the other restrained her against the airplane’s wall.
The girl strained against the hold, her fierce eyes glaring at everyone with disgust.
"Thank you," the stewardess expressed her gratitude rising from her seat behind Mu Lin. She knew he did it on purpose, to protect her.
Mu Lin glanced at her with an almost smile, "You’re welcome." He didn’t say anything more. Instead, he walked towards the girl and pulled out her mobile phone from her pocket.
He ’cracked’ her password with ease (in reality, he had caught a glimpse of it earlier) and opened her Facebook app. As he read the chat log in her group chat, his eyes instantly turned cold.
Everyone looked at Mu Lin, puzzled about why he took her phone and wondering what he had discovered.
Midnight 24:30.
The mission content concerning the girl: To commit suicide on the airplane and take all of the passengers with her. Even if she completes the mission, the major objective is to kill everyone on board.
This was an experiment conducted with human lives.
What kind of twisted mind would concoct such a monstrosity?
The mission was posted a short time before they boarded the plane.
Regarding the girl who was typing on her phone, it turns out she was writing her last will - including all her plans and a letter for her family.
Cell phones are prohibited on airplanes. The stewardess had tried to advise her earlier without success. Now it seemed the girl was a brainwashed fanatic.
Mu Lin casually handed the phone to the co-pilot—who automatically accepted it. Upon seeing the contents of the girl’s last will, he broke out in a cold sweat and looked fearfully at the girl who still had murderous eyes.
She actually planned...
The girl initially planned to sneak into the cockpit, hoping to murder the two captains. That way, the plane would lose all control and crash. This was the simplest plan she could think of.
Impatient when the stewardess approached her with just a few words, she swiftly stabbed her with the concealed fruit knife.
The co-pilot turned to Mu Lin, "This..." The whole situation was too absurd. He couldn’t comprehend why the girl bore a grudge against them to the point she wanted everyone dead.
Mu Lin looked at him, "What happens next is not my concern." The girl had been tied up tightly by the flight attendants. The co-pilot even checked her restraints thoroughly to prevent her from escaping. If she managed to ambush them from behind, they would be done for.
After a pause, Mu Lin spoke again, "I think you need to check if there’s anyone else working with her among your team." He was thinking about the individuals from the Midnight 24:30 chat group. "I believe, someone other than this girl was able to bring a fruit knife on board."
"Also, be vigilant. I do not want any incidents on this airplane."
"We will, please don’t worry." Seeing Mu Lin, the captain was filled with gratitude. Had it not been for Mu Lin, they wouldn’t have thought to check the girl’s phone, and would have directly handed her over to the police. But, it seemed there were some matters to be investigated more carefully.
To avoid...he could handle his own peril, but as the captain, he could not allow any passenger to face danger. It was his responsibility, and he wouldn’t tolerate the slightest negligence.
And with that, he began to scrutinize the phone for further valuable information.
Mu Lin returned to the chief stewardess and the other flight attendant, crouched down to check the injured girl’s pulse, then reassured the others, "Don’t worry, she only has some superficial wounds and lost a bit of blood. But I’ve stopped the bleeding and applied medicine. She will be fine."
"Thank you," the chief stewardess gratefully replied.
Mu Lin shook his head and glanced at the two people in front of him, and then asked abruptly, "Do you know what ’Midnight 24:30’ is?"
