Chapter 491: Chapter 339: Direct Collision (First Update)_1

Give him up? Over my dead body!

"Good job, Sniper!" Someone slapped the sniper on the shoulder, Ying Sun’s crew showering him with compliments.

Bloody hell, they’ll piss off these bird-brained men.

The sniper raised an eyebrow coolly, a wicked smile curling at the corner of his mouth, accepting these praises without modesty.

The sniper’s shot was indeed clean and beautiful. In silence, he suddenly unleashed it on them. Let them gloat, they’ll have more than enough!

The gang was thrilled. This was what they call perfect revenge. Kill one, break even. Kill a couple, and it’s a sure win.

Even in such a perilous situation, the men of Ying Sun appear to be at ease.

Or perhaps it’s a calm amidst the vigilance. This is the nature of the men of Ying Sun. Fearless of death, prepared for the worst.

No matter what, they would fight until the last moment! Whether it’s life or death, no one knows what the next moment holds. It all depends on lady luck.

The members of Ying Sun claimed, their luck was incredibly good.

Both sides were dodging each other, vigilant, observing with utmost caution. At this moment, the ability of the sniper is put to the test.

The sniper unwaveringly fired such a shot which made the other side much more cautious.

Although they were indifferent, even contemptuous in their speech, they didn’t dare to underestimate the Special Forces. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have deployed so many men. Even though some of them were injured, after several encounters, they had lost dozens of men.

Despite taking out hundreds of people, they’d already lost around one-third.

Speaking of the Special Forces, their squad is renowned worldwide. Yet, despite outnumbering them several times, their abilities pale in comparison to the members of Ying Sun.

No matter how many, they’re just ordinary soldiers.

There were men everywhere, hiding in the bushes, concealed behind large trees, waiting to strike.

With a cold and icy face, a gloomy murderous aura radiated from him. His gaze focused unwaveringly in the direction where the bullet came from with a violent gleam in his eyes.

This time, he wouldn’t let these slippery soldiers escape.

He wondered, would it be they who die, or he who lives.

"Bang, bang, bang..." Gunshots echoed in the air, like a probing attempt, sounding from the hidden spots where the members of Ying Sun took cover.

"These men really do have too many bullets to spare." A man by his side groaned; after checking them and their team, they realised there weren’t many bullets left. They couldn’t afford to waste bullets and had to use them wisely.

For a sniper, they had to stay still and wait for the right moment. Given the current environment and circumstances, it might be the best choice.

But there was one pre-requisite: the other side was willing to let them stay "comfortable".

Seeing the other side firing, the sniper had a sly smile on his face. As the gunshots rang out again, it was still their men who fell down.

Well, well. This blind firing was equivalent to revealing their location for the sniper and Ying Sun’s gang. They couldn’t wish for more.

It seemed their training fell short.

That being said, the fact was they were just driven to desperation by them. With so many on their side, it’s a shame they still couldn’t win. After all, soldiers are human, and they have their pride.

The leader of their side must be really infuriated by the men of Ying Sun now.

He scrutinised the surroundings, trying to find a location where he could annihilate them, just within sight. Regrettably, no such location seemed to exist.

Even if there was, the members of Ying Sun guarded their positions, refusing to allow any enemy to come close.

Come one and they would annihilate one, come two and they would kill both! There was no need for them to charge out, happily waiting was the way.

For some reason, the leading man found it peculiar to deal with Ying Sun today. Previously, besides protecting those they needed to, the rest of them would have tried to attack them and find a way to escape. He had even planned how to deal with them.

Unexpectedly...

They showed no sign of wanting to escape this time. What on earth... what were they planning?

In the eyes of many people in Y Country, and even globally, humans are cunning beings, always calculating, thinking too much, and causing too many problems.

The corner of his mouth pursed slightly as his brows furrowed, seemingly pondering the aim of Jing Chen and his group.

The next moment, he startled himself.

Could it be, they knew they could not escape, so they wanted to have a final showdown here? Or perhaps, they abandoned the idea of fleeing with intent to fight till the last man here with us?

No! He felt it couldn’t be so straightforward. The tactics of these people could never be so simple, and they would absolutely never give up so easily. If it were that simple, they would have succeeded by now.

Oh no!

Suddenly, the man jolted. These people, they must be waiting for reinforcements.

Then the man remembered the rare Harrier Hawk he spotted in the sky yesterday; only now did he realise something was amiss. It seemed like that hawk’s leg was tied to something, which he had initially brushed off as his servant’s hallucination.

On second thought, that must have been an SOS signal.

This is going to be real trouble.

In this jungle, signals from all parties are jammed, including their own, so using the harrier hawk for SOS was a very reasonable choice.

Why didn’t he think of this sooner! There had been no sightings of harrier hawks in this jungle before; if he had known earlier, he should have taken more shots at it. That tricky bird indeed, it had cleverly dropped downwards after being shot, yet when they reached the place it fell, aside from a bit of blood, there was nothing there.

It seemed to have escaped by flying low.

At this moment, everything seemed to fall into place and connect.

No, he cannot let them wait for their reinforcements; otherwise things would become complicated. They must finish their mission before the opponent’s reinforcements arrive.

Lifting his hand and slightly wiggling his fingertips, the men who had previously been hiding in ambush started to move, no longer wasting time with Ying Sun’s members.

Cautiously advancing and scanning their surroundings, they began to stealthily move towards Jing Chen’s group.

Meanwhile, the snipers took up their positions, lying on the ground, fixing their aim and fingers on the triggers, ready to assault at the slightest hint of any disruption from the enemy camp.

As soon as the other party took action, the faint rustling sounds reached Jing Chen’s ears.

"Stay alert." A deep voice echoed in the ears of Ying Sun’s members, "They’re coming." With his hand on his pistol, Jing Chen huddled against a large tree and listened for the enemy’s approach.

Lying down at this moment, Xigua was now awake. Seeing his brothers ready to walk into a bloodbath, a trace of bitterness flashed in his heart. He didn’t want to lie there unable to do anything, becoming a burden to his brothers.

If he could, Xigua truly wanted to rush forward and fight with them till the last man standing. But after consuming the pill given by the Boss, he was left with no energy.

The Boss’ intention was termed as ’reserving energy’.

Sister-in-law, you better hurry, as long as the bullet in his heart is extracted, it wouldn’t be like this, right?

Xigua’s thoughts were wishful; to tell the truth, Xigua’s will to survive was stronger than anyone else’s.

He was not afraid of dying, but he wished more to always follow Jing Chen, accompanying him through horrific struggles. This was the true desire of every member of Ying Sun.

The sound of bullets hitting the trees and the ground indicated that both parties had stopped playing a game of hide and seek.

They could not let their adversaries break through their final defense line.

"Longsnipe, you and Two-Fats guard the rear, ensuring the well-being of those we need to protect. The rest of you, follow me." As Jing Chen’s voice fell, he made his move, swiftly dodging to the front, evading the enemies’ attack.

Amid the fight, he weaved through attacks while bullets sliced through the cold air and mercilessly ended the lives of his opponents - hitting their hearts, foreheads - no shot was wasted. Xigua, hiding in the back, was impressed by his Boss’ incredible aim, he wanted to clap for him but the timing wasn’t right.

The Boss’s shooting skills, well, they were unmatched in their military zone. There was hardly anyone who could compare, those somewhat close to him in skills were very few.

But unfortunately, the other side had too many men. They were breaking through from all directions, forcing them to remain on the defense. No matter how skilled they were, they needed to tread carefully, or they could lose their lives in a blink of an eye.

That would indeed be a loss.

The fierce combat was at the forefront, and though Longsnipe and Two-Fats were left back to defend, they, too, were providing cover fire from the rear end effusively.

"You," from a concealed location, a man grabbed another, asking, "Is anyone among you more familiar with this place?"

They did not know how long a face-to-face confrontation was going to take. Their priority now was to dispatch someone to approach the enemy’s rear. However, within such a jungle full of hazardous brambles and opponent vigilant everywhere, it wouldn’t be easy for an average person to approach.
