Chapter 342: Chapter 250 Untitled (Third Update) _1

Seeing Yang Hao’s somewhat visually lost face, Black Scorpion instinctively held the young girl in front of him a bit tighter against his chest, "What is your name?" Somehow, he realized that he didn’t know her name yet although they were already so close.

"Yang Hao." She reflexively answered, but suddenly she regretted it. Why did she have to tell him her real name?

"I am called Black Scorpion." Black Scorpion slowly answered before turning around and moving towards the bathroom.

"Black Scorpion?" What a strange name, "Feels like a pseudonym." Yang Hao mumbled.

Hearing her, Black Scorpion chuckled, "You’re right, it’s indeed not my real name." It was just a code name he used within the Organization. "I don’t even know what my real name should be. So, you could regard this name as my real one." At least it was his only code name.

In their Organization, only newly joined mercenaries knew their origins.

They, ha... since their training periods, they never even had a code name. Just numbers. His code name during missions was Fourteen. Black Scorpion expressed, Black Fourteen was probably a much more palatable name than Black Scorpion. It sounded more like a real name at least.

"I’m... I’m sorry." Yang Hao apologized instinctively. It seemed like she hit a sore point there.

"It doesn’t matter." Black Scorpion had never been bothered by this matter. Looking at Yang Hao, there was a firmness in Black Scorpion’s eyes, "Listen, Yang Hao, from this day forward, you can only be my woman. I will protect you and give my everything, even my life.. to guard you."

Hearing those words, Yang Hao was somewhat stunned. She looked at the man in front of her blankly, "You..." What did he mean by that?

"Today’s incident was an accident. You actually didn’t have to..." Didn’t have to...Yang Hao didn’t even know what she was going to say next. Didn’t have to take responsibility? After all, he just said he would be responsible for her.

Their relationship wasn’t actually based on mutual feelings. When it was time to let go of such things, they should just let it go.

But she couldn’t deny, his vow-like words would probably move any girl’s heart. Yang Hao felt like she was somewhat moved. It was a feeling that she had never experienced before.

Caught in her thoughts, they already arrived inside the bathroom. He gave a kiss on the dazed Yang Hao who reflexively opened her mouth a little, then he let her go and said, "You go first. I’ll wait for you outside," before wrapping a towel around his waist.

Although he really wanted to stay and help, to save the girl from embarrassment, he decided better and left. He even thoughtfully closed the bathroom door behind him.

Outside, the gentle smile on his face disappeared in an instant; Black Scorpion knew if he wanted to stay beside Yang Hao, he would have to leave the Organization. Otherwise, there would be danger for both of them. The Organization wouldn’t let him go easily and neither would it spare his loved ones. His only chance might be this mission.

He had always contemplated on leaving the Organization, and the appearance of Yang Hao had made up his mind.

Right now, Black Scorpion didn’t realize that sometimes things don’t go according to how we wish them to; some things are simply destined.

...

Exiting the police station, in the car.

"If you have any questions, ask." Leaning against the seat with his eyes closed, feeling the almost non-existent gaze from beyond his side, Mu Lin said in a nonchalant manner.

Mo Yinfan gave a light chuckle. He indeed couldn’t hide anything from her. ". I just wondered who you called after letting that guy go?" Mu Lin felt different then, the Mu Lin sitting next to him now felt different.

"I called my boss." Mu Lin stated, "Or you could say, the call was ongoing since the interrogation began." Mu Lin took out an earpiece from his pocket, "I have been using this for communication." Though he was only in charge of listening.

"Jing Chen said he would still have use for that guy, so I let him go." After all, whether the man lived or died meant nothing to her.

"I see." Mo Yinfan nodded thoughtfully, paused for a second, then looked back at Mu Lin, "May I ask something a bit bold?".
