"Grandpa Jing?" Upon hearing Mu Lin’s words, the elder of the Zhang Family was momentarily stunned before he said, "I’m really thankful for Grandpa Jing’s concern."

Although he was familiar with Elder Jing, their usual interactions weren’t that deep, certainly not as deep as those between Elder Jing and Elder Xue or Mei Qingyuan; it was somewhat unexpected for Elder Jing to have specifically asked Mu Lin to come over. He turned to Zhang Mingzhe, "Mingzhe, hurry and get a chair for Doctor Mu." It was disrespectful to have her just standing.

Zhang Mingzhe immediately stood up and turned to Mu Lin, "Sister-in-law, please sit here." He gave up his own seat, and without refusing, Mu Lin sat down while Zhang Mingzhe stood to the side.

Madam Zhang glanced at Mu Lin and the the elder, then turned to walk outside.

Zhang Mingzhe looked at Mu Lin, curiously asking, "Sister-in-law, how come you’re here?"

Mu Lin smiled at him, "Didn’t I just explain it?" She then looked at the elder, "Grandpa Zhang, you don’t mind if I take your pulse, right? I’ll need to report back to our Grandpa when I return home."

With a gentle smile on her lips, Mu Lin put the elder at ease, and he chuckled and extended his arm, saying, "Then I’ll trouble Doctor Mu." Having Doctor Mu make a house visit was a luxury many sought but couldn’t attain.

"It’s no trouble," Mu Lin reached out, felt for the pulse, and while examining, said, "Grandpa Zhang, it’s better not to call me Divine Doctor. If you’re willing, just call me by my name, Mu Lin."

Mu Lin felt that, although she had grown accustomed to the title, the man before her was, after all, Zhang Mingzhe’s grandpa, a contemporary of her own grandfather, and she didn’t want to take any liberties.

Hearing Mu Lin’s suggestion, Grandpa Zhang readily agreed, "Alright, Mu Lin." He paused, then added the word "miss."

At the addition of this moniker, Mu Lin couldn’t help but wonder why these elders all liked adding a special nickname to her name.

Mu Lin nodded her thanks and politely took a small sip.
