Chapter 1026: Chapter 687: Aren’t You Still Alive? (14)
When Elder Jing and Jing Chen, along with a few others, arrived, they saw a group of people almost in disarray in the wind, and what was even more alarming to everyone was the person who appeared with Elder Jing.
Why would that elder be here!
Today was a shock within a shock, a horror within a horror, for many.
Xiu Fan stared blankly at the elder, never imagining that they would one day have the chance to observe such an admirable figure from such a close distance.
To tell the truth, Xiu Fan was a fan of this elder.
"Where’s the girl?" Seeing the dazed look on Elder Gong, Elder Jing’s face was filled with tension, and Jing Chen’s entire expression was taut. Upon receiving the phone call from his grandpa about Linlin being injured by those patients, he almost couldn’t cope, and Song Qi also looked on nervously at Elder Gong.
Mu Lin was the apple of the entire Jing family’s eye!
Jing Chen had witnessed the terror and madness of those things firsthand, and at the moment he received the old man’s call, he even felt his chest nearly suffocate.
However, upon entering, they didn’t see Mu Lin.
"Where’s Linlin?" Jing Chen’s fists clenched, seemingly struggling to keep control of himself.
Before seeing Mu Lin, Jing Chen couldn’t relax; although upon entering and observing Elder Gong’s expression, he sensed a trace of something.
Upon seeing Elder Jing, Elder Gong looked as if he had just woken from a dream, staring vacantly at him and Jing Chen, "Why are you here?"
"I heard the girl had an accident, how could I not come! Where is she, just say it!" Elder Jing’s face was full of anxiety, nearly ready to punch Elder Gong for his calm, dazed demeanor.
Don’t they know soldiers are hot-tempered! His temper was not good.
"It’s alright now," Elder Gong took a deep breath and said.
"All right now?" Elder Jing was dumbfounded, "What do you mean by all right now?" Wasn’t it said that she fainted? He hadn’t seen her at all.
"All right now means it’s all right; what I mean is, the girl, she’s fine," Elder Gong explained patiently, "You’re a step too late." If they had been earlier, they probably would have been scared half to death like him.
Really... that naughty girl, making him cry in front of so many outsiders.
Cough cough cough... That wasn’t crying, her eyes just got watery.
Everyone: ...heh, what a cold joke.
The elder looked towards Elder Gong, asking, "Where is the girl?" Since it was already alright, why was the person not seen?
Elder Gong looked at him, feeling unfamiliar with the elder before him, but still responded earnestly, "Linlin just woke up, apparently she thought of a method to create the antidote, so she ran back to her own research room."
Immediately, the three made big strides towards the direction Elder Gong was pointing. However, Elder Gong’s next words caused them to halt their steps, "The girl said, nobody is allowed to disturb her."
The two elders turned back, "What do you mean?"
"Wasn’t Linlin injured?" Jing Chen’s brows were tightly furrowed; injured and yet not resting properly, she really deserved a lesson.
"She was injured, but it’s nothing serious; and it seems the injury has given her some sort of inspiration," Elder Gong continued, and everyone kept silent at his words: "What we need to do right now is not to disturb her."
Elder Gong expressed that he himself was shocked at first, forgetting he was a doctor upon seeing the girl injured. Everybody forgot, not a single person thought to check her pulse.
With a sigh in his heart, he figured his authority had all been lost today, especially in front of his disciples.
It’s all that damn girl’s fault.
But fortunately, he had secretly checked her just now and there was absolutely no problem; otherwise, he would not have let her go.
Elder Gong might say so, but his heart was blooming with joy at this moment; his granddaughter was truly incredible.
He wasn’t concerned about losing face at all.
Hearing Elder Gong’s words, the two elders looked at each other and remained silent.
Meanwhile, Mu Lin, busily tinkering inside, was unaware of the commotion outside.
Actually, the method Mu Lin thought of at that time was to try using her own blood first. She couldn’t believe that her blood would be effective against the viruses; it turned out that after all the twists and turns, these things still belonged to one family.
Soon, the result came out.
Mu Lin was using the substance she had brought back last time for the experiment. As long as the bacteria and viruses in that substance were neutralized, there would be no problem.
