Chapter 425: Chapter 425 This NPC Has Gone Mad
Back in the "Yu-Gi-Oh World," Feng Xue looked at the mechas and exoskeletons that had all turned into Pseudo Artifacts. There wasn’t a hint of disappointment on his face. These True Objects had served as reference materials for him, but the real focus was still on this set of blueprints.
The Constantin Snake Poison Series Mecha belonged to the main models among the fifth-generation mechas, with six variants: assault type, fighting type, fire support type, sniper type, infiltration type, and replenishment type, plus a prototype skeleton. Even ignoring some standardized content, there were more than twenty thousand pages of complex blueprints, enough to fill a room when printed out.
However, size and quantity were not the focus. The key point was that these papers printed with blueprints remained True Objects after being brought into the "Yu-Gi-Oh World."
This experiment made Feng Xue realize that the knowledge carried through a world transfer was not "re-coded"; of course, whether it could be realized was another matter.
This was like the physical parameters being different between two worlds. In the Yu-Gi-Oh World, playing cards could generate energy, which the real world doesn’t support, making the d-wheels of the Yu-Gi-Oh World turn into Pseudo Artifacts when brought to the real world. However, the paper detailing the d-wheel manufacturing method itself would not become a Pseudo Artifact.
Even if the real world manufactured a d-wheel exactly according to the blueprints, it would still just be a one-to-one high-quality replica.
But at this moment, everything was different because Feng Xue had acquired the "Follow the Map" Power.
As long as he had blueprints, he could make True Objects.
The question now was, are the objects made from these blueprints True Objects or illusions?
If they were illusions, then so be it. But if True Objects could be made, did that mean this Power could achieve an effect similar to that of fixing rules to illusions, adding specific rule parameters to that world?
If possible, could the people of this world learn the method of manufacturing these objects by dismantling the True Objects?
"Everything about this game is great, except that every time it goes down for maintenance, it’s torture!"
Following the final non-deletion beta launch, players with activation codes flooded into the game, bewildered as the image before them gradually cleared. The players born in the Dahuaishu Village were stunned.
The tranquil and picturesque village had lost all semblance of an ancient countryside. In its place was an industrial style imbued with a heavy metal vibe.
The piercing sound of hammering echoed over the village, and the heavy smoke with the scent of scorching metal blackened the clouds above.
Cranes towered around the village and if not for the unchanged Dahuaishu tree and the ancestral hall, players might even doubt whether they had logged onto the wrong game.
"What the heck is this?!" Yun Yao widened her eyes, staring intently at the towering column of smoke in the distance. Although she had not logged on for a month, she clearly remembered that direction was exactly where her crazy NPC master’s thatched cottage should be.
"Yao... Yun sister, that seems to be Master’s house!"
Wusha was clearly confused by this sudden change in style and even suspected whether the update had leaped hundreds of years forward, directly transitioning from ancient martial arts to a near-modern steampunk era.
Yun Yao, hearing Wusha’s words, rolled her eyes and glanced at her bandmates who had even formed a band offline. The corner of her mouth twitched slightly. Without any evidence, she instinctively felt her master was about to stir up more trouble.
However, what she didn’t expect was that this trouble was far bigger than she had imagined!
"Gundam, Gundam, Gundam, Gundam, Gundam..."
"Gundam!"
Wu Sha blurted out the word for Yun Yao, who had become completely tongue-tied. The huge robot being hoisted by several cranes, although only a semi-finished product not exceeding ten meters in height, was undoubtedly a Gundam!
Staring at the giant whose exterior was made of wood but whose exposed parts revealed a complex and precise metallic structure, the players were speechless for a long time. It wasn’t until they saw their master sawing a familiar coffin plank to the right size and installing it on the robot that they finally came to their senses.
"Master, what on earth have you done?!"
Yun Yao cried out in disbelief, but Feng Xue, upon seeing his disciple, simply flashed a bright sunshiny smile and said,
"Last time, a traveling merchant told me that there is a kind of large puppet armor in the west, something called ’Titan’, which is incredibly powerful and can substantially amplify the strength of its operator, and it can even handle super-sized monsters.
"I found that rather interesting, so I bought the design blueprints from him. Unfortunately, I only got the external structure and installation parts; I have no idea about the skeleton and control mechanism. All I could do was to try and replicate it using my mechanical techniques. Speaking of which, the village blacksmith really put in a lot of effort too, otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to produce so many parts on my own..."
Listening to Feng Xue’s somewhat sentimental explanation, the faces of the players all took on a bizarre look. However, it was then that Liao Yunhuai suddenly frowned and said,
"That’s not right. I remember weapon design diagrams are usually massive, and even a simplified diagram for an aircraft would need about five or six hundred pages..."
"Aircraft? What’s that? How does it relate to wooden kites?"
Seeing his master’s curiosity instantly piqued, Wu Sha quickly interrupted,
"That’s not important. What’s important is, Master, can you let us take a look at that design diagram?"
"Of course!" Feng Xue cheerfully walked into the thatched cottage and then came out with a roughly bound booklet. The players curiously crowded around, but as the booklet opened, everyone’s expression turned extraordinarily odd.
In the end, it was Yun Yao who hesitantly asked,
"Master, are you saying you built this huge thing based on this... item?"
"Exactly. The traveling merchant said that this thing is quite famous in the Western Regions. You know about it?" Feng Xue retained his usual goofy demeanor. Wu Sha hesitated for a moment, but ultimately couldn’t hold back his sarcasm,
"Although... This thing is a B Corporation’s model diagram!"
Feng Xue, hearing his words, didn’t get angry; instead, he clapped his hands with force and exclaimed,
"A model? No wonder!
"I was wondering why the skeleton couldn’t support the steel armor at all. To reduce weight, I used wood in many places to barely get it moving; so the skeleton wasn’t right after all...
"I was wondering how the ’scientists’ in the Western Regions managed to solve the weight problem... If there’s an issue with the skeleton on this diagram, I think I’ve got it figured out. Hmm, looks like I’ll need to make some modifications... Wusha, go to Wang the blacksmith at the village entrance, tell him we need his help to process a batch of parts again, payment as agreed before."
"I’m called Wu Sha... never mind, you’re the master, call it whatever you want..."
