Summary: The mayoral election in Isgray City was always a carnival, where people watched as clown-like figures strutted and preened on stage, spouting nonsense that nobody would believe, and finding amusement in their various ridiculous antics.

Amid this entertainment spectacle, a man named George Augustus appeared. When he first stepped onto the stage, people laughed at his sensationalist title, regarding him as just another clown.

But everything changed with the first assassination attempt. Using an exoskeleton that allowed him to escape from the pursuit of countless professionals, his face never showed a hint of fear.

He was adept at using all sorts of common tools and making them perform astonishing feats.

He even managed to pilot a theoretically unruly mecha using a test OS, fighting against dozens of mainstream models.

He survived any crisis as if there was nothing he couldn’t do.

A clown? No, a strong man!

Indeed, up to this moment, in everyone’s hearts, there was no other word but strong to describe his existence.

Powers: [Execution Song], [Master of Props], [Iron-Blooded Tough Guy], [ACE-Level Pilot]

Current World Rules: [Mayoral Election]

Companion Phantom Object: [Mechanical-World], [Buffer Ball]

...

After handing over the os data of "World" and the vacuum-sealed ball containing the "Gambler" to Constantin Company, Mr. George finally had the opportunity to glance at the newly formed Kaidan entry.

Even with the internet’s memory of this world, he felt this item was probably another bottomless pit requiring nourishment from other long-term entries, yet he thought the power it offered made it worthwhile to maintain.

Thanks to his spur-of-the-moment singing performance, the Execution Song power finally coalesced. This power wasn’t overly strong, but it was highly versatile. Simply playing bgm during combat provided a boost. The amount was unimportant; what mattered was that this power offered an additional multiplier effect and could be combined with the Masked Rider’s [Meme Power]. Carrying a speaker to boost his strength was a cost-effective method, and any increase was valuable no matter how slight.

[Master of Props] was a divine skill that could serve as the core of combat. It was akin to the ability [Knight Never Die from Bare Hands], allowing any picked-up roadside item to be "conceptualized," or "Phantom Transformed," if you will. Any junk assimilated with this power would instantly acquire properties akin to "settings trumps all."

For example, a buffer ball designed for parachute crash-landing could be modified to cushion supersonic impacts, or foaming gel intended for traffic accidents could be used to cool rocket missiles...

Of course, not everything could be turned into a phantom object. First, the assimilated items didn’t inherit the indestructibility of phantom objects; second, it had to be "randomly picked up junk," not "pre-prepared items." In other words, it only expressed its full potential when materials were improvised on the spot.

In a way, Feng Xue’s home field had now shifted to a furniture mall...

The power [Iron-Blooded Tough Guy], compared to other abilities Feng Xue held, was very straightforward. However, the more pure the power, the more dramatic it tended to be.

[Iron-Blooded Tough Guy] epitomized this rule. Its function was simple and pure: the interpretation of a tough guy in an American personal heroism action movie. No matter how severe the injury, as long as it wasn’t fatal, he should keep running and jumping and continue fighting after spitting out some saliva.

The power worked like a cheat to lock one’s blood level, allowing Feng Xue to ignore the pain and various negative effects of injuries, as long as they were not "fatal" in common cognition.

For example, a normal person who got an arm chopped off would lose balance and combat effectiveness, but with this power activated, the only effect was the inability to use that arm to wield a weapon.

To exaggerate a bit, even if he was amputated from the waist down, he could still run with the speed of someone with all limbs intact, perhaps even faster due to the reduced weight...

In addition, this power also came with a healing effect; as long as he was not dead and received a treatment that looked "somewhat" legitimate, after sleeping, he would wake up as good as new—well, with maybe a few extra scars at most.

A comparison might be akin to a martial arts king who could keep fighting by tying a knot in a severed tendon—although, the treatment itself was not exactly reliable.

Upon further reflection, unreliable treatment seemed to be the norm in American tough-guy action films; it was rare for injuries to actually affect combat strength, as with John Wick.

Of course, no power was invulnerable; there were flaws, namely that it was limited to "non-fatal injuries."

Here, "fatal" did not mean injuries that could actually kill Feng Xue, but instead referred to wounds that were "fatal" in widespread cognition, such as a pierced heart, a hole in the head, or a slit throat. Even if Feng Xue later acquired an ability similar to an undying body, he would still lose this power if he sustained such injuries.

Conversely, fatal wounds unrecognized by common cognition (like severe bleeding, kidney strikes, pancreas rupture, etc.) would be deemed non-fatal by the power.

These were the inherent weaknesses of powers influenced by cognition.

As for the last one, [ACE-Level Pilot], there wasn’t much to say about it—it was quite a dull power that boiled down to the ability to pilot "any single-person vehicle that required a pilot."

One person couldn’t captain an aircraft carrier, of course, but as long as a vehicle could be piloted, it was possible to bring out its theoretical maximum power—so it was a decent advantage.

For this skill to show its full might, it needed to work in tandem with a Companion Phantom Object—

[Mechanical-World].

Name: Phantom Object·Mechanical-World

Elements: [Mecha], [Powerful], [Force], [Intelligent], [Armor], [Prototype], [Missile Delivery]

Summary: Constantin Company’s seventh-generation prototype mecha, boasting formidable power and unparalleled strength, but before the appearance of George Augustus, no one was capable of taming this steel beast.

The mecha adopted a slave-dependent operating system suitable for fighting, equipped with a deflection shield and a full set of combat weapons, and had a fire control system that could attach most mecha equipment.

Note ①: This mecha can be summoned from any location, but it will take three minutes to arrive.

Note ②: Please do not summon this mecha in densely populated areas.
