Chapter 302: Chapter 302 Freedom Lies Ahead

"Wow, so strong!"

"Managed to take down the robbers in a blink of an eye!"

"And it’s a female Knight!"

"Take pictures! Quick, take pictures!"

...

Listening to the scattered discussions around her, Rinko’s face beneath the mask flushed red with embarrassment, but what could she do? Tell them that she wasn’t the one who took them down? That everyone had already collapsed when she landed?

But thinking of Yayuka waiting for her, Rinko didn’t dwell on someone else snagging the credit. Instead, she raised her hand and immediately webbing shot out, whisking her up into the sky with a swoosh.

"Stealth mode, activate!"

"Understood!"

An inorganic electronic voice sounded from within the armor. The figure of Masked Rider Demon Rider vanished in an instant, and by the time the Kaidan arrived, there was no trace to be found.

...

After changing back into her everyday clothes, Rinko emerged from the cinema as if she had really just been out picking flowers, only to see Yayuka leaning casually against a lamp post outside the cinema door, checking her phone for news.

"Lily, didn’t I tell you to go ahead?"

Hearing Rinko’s words, Yayuka’s brow lifted as she responded,

"Knowing something happened nearby, how could I possibly leave you and go on my own? It seems it’s over. Let’s hurry and get out of here."

"Oh, okay!" Rinko nodded, and the two of them left the scene. However, they hadn’t walked many steps when another wave of intense hunger struck Yayuka’s brain.

"Ugh... If I had known a Masked Rider would come to save the day, I wouldn’t have stepped in! That’s a huge loss!"

Yayuka complained inwardly as she bought a high-calorie milk tea with double sugar from a roadside vendor. The warmth and sweetness comforted her taste buds and slid down her throat, giving Yayuka a brief sense of blissful resurrection.

"Right, Lily, it’s so late now, how about I stay at your place tonight?" Rinko suddenly spoke out of the blue, causing Yayuka to be taken aback, thinking, "With all the Kaidan at my place, you still want to come?" But immediately, she realized she was overthinking it.

Rinko couldn’t see the Kaidan, so she would suggest staying at Yayuka’s place. After all, it was common for them to have sleepovers at each other’s homes. The only reason Yayuka found it strange was that she could see the Kaidan, which influenced her subconscious!

Yayuka really wanted to persuade Rinko not to come but had no suitable excuse. However, considering that she was always clinging to Rinko and if those Kaidan were really targeting her, being beside Yayuka, an Avatar Messenger, might actually be safer.

The two joked and laughed their way back to Yayuka’s home. The moment they entered, standing at the door, they saw a Monster perched on the ceiling.

"It changed again! What on earth is in Lily’s home that keeps attracting Kaidan?" Rinko looked at the Kaidan, which was entirely different from the previous one, and couldn’t help but feel puzzled.

She had known Yayuka since kindergarten, and her home had always been here, without any so-called haunted house problems. Could it be the Feng Shui they talked about in Yan Country?

Forget it! There’s a swimming class tomorrow. I’ll skip it using my period as an excuse and come to take care of these Kaidan, yeah, clean them all up along the way, just like a Masked Rider passing by!

Thinking about this, Rinko silently planned her route, realizing that if the path was too direct, it would arouse suspicion.

...

Ten o’clock at night arrived, and according to the custom of the Eastern Country people, it was inevitably bath time. Although there was a monster that looked like a lizard in the bathroom, Rinko (Yayuka), in order not to draw Yayuka’s (Rinko’s) attention, obediently went towards the bathroom as usual.

"I’ll go run the water; you go and get ready with a change of clothes, in the usual spot," Yayuka said, stepping towards the bathroom but was stopped by Rinko saying:

"I’m too clumsy; if I mess up the wardrobe, that wouldn’t be good. You help me find it, and I can handle running the water."

"I haven’t seen you this conscious before," Yayuka rolled her eyes but said no more, moving towards the bedroom. As she walked, she called out:

"Odyssey!"

"What’s the matter?" An inorganic voice responded; Yayuka casually grabbed some snacks from the table, stuffed them into her mouth, and said:

"Go watch over Rinko in the bathroom, don’t let Kaidan hurt her."

"Got it!"

The ghostly Avatar Messenger quietly vanished, and Yayuka once again felt the sensation of hunger, but fortunately, since she had eaten the snacks beforehand, the reaction wasn’t too strong.

However, just as she opened the bedroom door, she suddenly heard Rinko’s scream—

"Oh no!"

"What’s wrong?" Yayuka instinctively exhibited speed far surpassing that of a sprinter, reaching the bathroom door in a few breaths. That’s when she saw Rinko sitting sprawled on the floor, in a posture as if welcoming some lucky pervert.

"It’s nothing; I just tripped over something..." Rinko scratched her head, carefully scanning the floor; her left hand, however, was already pressing the Transformation Device in her pocket.

She didn’t see anything strange; Kaidan was obediently lying on the ceiling, so she shouldn’t have been attacked...

"Oh! Maybe the soap water on the floor wasn’t rinsed clean. You need to wear non-slip slippers in the bathroom, don’t let me remind you again," Yayuka suspected it was Kaidan’s prank from the ceiling and immediately dismissed her with a perfunctory tone. Rinko rubbed her butt and got up with a grin, unaware that during this brief moment, Yayuka’s Poisonous Insect Body, under Feng Xue’s Consciousness’s control, had rushed out of the bathroom with a cardboard box.

...

Rinko had no time to consider the scenery in the bathroom; she reached Yayuka’s bedroom at top Speed and crammed the bag containing all of her belongings into a small hidden compartment she had secretly carved out under the bed. Then she Disguised it with Hermit Power.

After doing all of this, she was still not completely at ease and left a Poisonous Insect Body in the hidden compartment. If someone or a Monster discovered this compartment, they would be infested by the Poisonous Insect Body, alerting her immediately.

At that moment, Feng Xue somewhat regretted her decision—not that she regretted sending her real body to another dimension, but that she regretted taking such action directly at the door.

While doing so meant that opening the box would allow the real body to instantly return to Babylon Tower, under such high-density surveillance, the options for action were undoubtedly reduced.

"Should I just force the real body out and then go straight back to Babylon Tower, then come from Yan Country’s side afterward? With that ’ordinary’ setting, Yayuka shouldn’t be affected. At worst, there’s the Poisonous Insect Body I left her; it should be able to save her..."

As soon as this idea emerged, it began to rapidly grow, and in no time, a complete plan materialized.

Only...

"Rinko doesn’t have that kind of strange setting. Not tonight; let’s wait for tomorrow. While the two are off to school, I’ll come back and release the real body!"
