Master of Kaidan -
Chapter 196
Chapter 196: Chapter 196
Although Feng Xue didn’t know under what circumstances this busty lady had gritted her teeth and come back to accept the challenge, he certainly wasn’t going to let such a good opportunity pass.
Employing the Complete Heaven Shifting Star Skill, a distance of over twenty meters was covered in an instant, and at the same time, the Pardon Bell also rang.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck... wait for me to put on my damn pants!" the busty lady exploded with a string of straightforward profanities, but by the time she managed to get her other leg into her trousers, Feng Xue had closed the distance to within six meters.
The Oathkeeper’s Appearance suddenly activated, and Feng Xue’s body appeared right in front of the busty lady. As their eyes met, a thick fog also immediately burst forth from Feng Xue’s body.
Under the thin fog, any life standing within it wouldn’t be effected by negative effects, but conversely, it wouldn’t remove any pre-existing effects either.
"Get the hell away from me!" Although still pulling up her trousers, the white-haired, red-eyed busty lady still swung her ponytail and let out a furious roar, as a dark shadow took form in front of her, rushing towards Feng Xue with an all-consuming aura.
Just as Feng Xue was about to collide with the shadow, his figure vanished, and the next moment, he was already behind the busty lady.
The night, the fog, the female.
With these three elements in place, the Holy Mother unleashed a cursed slash!
"Crack!"
Having finally pulled her trousers up, the busty lady felt a sharp pain in her abdomen, followed by an excessively bleeding gash and uncontrollable spilling of her intestines.
Seeing his strike work, Feng Xue didn’t dare to be careless. An indescribable stick slipped out from his left sleeve, raised in hand, and smashed down onto that oversized head.
Splat!
Suddenly, the body of the white-haired, red-eyed busty lady seemed to disintegrate and turned into countless bats fleeing in all directions.
"Vampire?" With such a distinctive picture before him, almost immediately the word popped into Feng Xue’s mind. The killing desire accumulated over half a month of killing and being killed surged in an instant, and that intense, almost suffocating atmosphere of terror allowed one to almost see the blood-red "death" character.
One by one, the bats dropped powerlessly, but still, a small portion managed to fly away. Feng Xue wanted to activate Instantaneous Teleportation of Oathkeeper’s Appearance but was surprised to find that in this state, the target didn’t exist.
Only then did he notice that these small bats also lacked the mark of the Pardon Bell.
"Can’t be targeted in bat state, huh?" Feng Xue habitually used Kaidan language to help understand the situation as he gradually lowered his own emotional fluctuations.
From the outburst of killing intent to entering into a state of Meditation, it took Feng Xue just over a second. And once he had completely "calmed" down, he finally possessed the strength needed to use his new technique.
The thick fog field, rich with Fairy Energy, was suddenly dispersed, and countless tiny droplets of water continued to spread out under the manipulation of Feng Xue’s consciousness. They quickly broke through the original bounds of five meters in height and a fifty-meter radius, and as the fog became so thin that it almost didn’t obscure vision anymore, Feng Xue also spread his Fairy Energy throughout the entire graveyard.
Leveraging No-thought Divine Power as a stepping stone, Feng Xue mastered the skill of establishing a connection with the inner strength he projected outward. In a state of Meditation, or so-called "Heart like still water," he could clearly handle and process every bit of information fed back through the energy.
With the emotional perception granted by "Heart of Bright Mirror," Feng Xue quickly located the group of bats where the opponent’s consciousness lay.
"Over here?" Utilizing the Complete Heaven Shifting Star Skill, Feng Xue followed the direction of the anger and went after them; as he retracted his crowbar into his sleeve, his left hand began to work on No-thought Divine Power.
No-thought Divine Power was a highly versatile Cultivation Technique. Although classified under Hidden Weapons, its essence was a mass of Inner Strength that could be controlled externally.
Although Feng Xue was far from achieving that exaggerated effect of "automatic reaction to enemies and self-salvation when in trouble," locking onto an enemy was not difficult for him.
The Suffocation Blade shot out from his sleeve, instantly enveloped by No-thought Divine Power. As Feng Xue maintained his positioning, he lifted his arm, and with a simultaneous exertion of his wrist and ring finger, the Suffocation Blade, enhanced by No-thought Divine Power, turned into a streak of light and shot towards the source of that angry emotion.
"Buzz!"
"Thud!"
Suddenly one bat was sliced in two, exploding into dark energy, but the Suffocation Blade moved like a legendary Flying Sword, making a circle before stabbing at the next bat.
The number of bats in the swarm plummeted rapidly, and just as they were about to drop below ten, those bats, along with others previously knocked down by Feng Xue’s Killing Intent, exploded together, and the big-chested redhead with white hair re-formed. She clumsily donned a blood-red coat over her body, her eyes nearly overflowing with intense fury and hatred.
"Go to hell!" Though her attire wasn’t quite orderly, the big-chested redhead who had managed to get dressed fully once more made a declaration of counterattack; but before her next move could take effect, she experienced another chilling strike.
Feng Xue, who had appeared behind her without a sound, stabbed the Short Blade into her back heart, effortlessly tearing through her body with the incredibly Sharp blade, even without triggering a Curse.
"Thud!"
After coughing up another mouthful of old blood, the big-chested redhead’s shadow below her feet suddenly spread out, and Feng Xue immediately retreated upon seeing this.
He was not at all surprised by the giant beast that emerged from the shadows. Enlisting Summoned Demons, shape-shifting into bats, undying, and hyper-fast Regeneration—all were classic traits of a Vampire, and coupled with that white hair and red pupils, Feng Xue even felt a sudden urge to brandish a Vatican-stamped cross.
Alas, he did not have one.
As the monstrous beast took shape from the shadows, Feng Xue activated Oathkeeper’s Appearance once again.
The big-chested redhead, who thought her summon would buy her some time, had yet to catch her breath when she felt the sensation of being stabbed in the back again; this time, he even twisted it around twice.
"Are you ever going to stop?" A sulfur-smelling Flames exploded from the big-chested redhead, but Feng Xue had already jumped back ten meters away, using Instantaneous Teleportation and Complete Heaven Shifting Star Skill. Missing his strike, he instantly retreated—that was Feng Xue’s professional code as an assassin. Seeing that there were no signs of weakness even when the heart, a legendary weak spot for Vampires, was repeatedly attacked, Feng Xue began to ponder the rules behind the big-chested redhead’s existence.
Battles between supernatural beings often involved exploring each other’s rules, a lesson Feng Xue had learned while challenging the owners of the Sixth Layer. Despite his seemingly dominant position from the moment the big-chested redhead arrived, the fact that she still appeared full of vigor suggested that she hadn’t sustained any substantive damage.
"Must I use a wooden stake to pierce the heart? Or is it fire or sunlight that’s needed? Or perhaps it’s an ’Uncle A’ setting where killing one grants an extra life?"
