Chapter 225 – Good morning My Empress

The bright morning sun seeped into the room radiating its life after the weathering storm of the previous day.

A pair of eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the brightness the room had before settling down and opening fully.

"Hmm..." He let out a soft breath, whilst his gaze fell on the surrounding in the room.

Suddenly, he felt something stir which in turn pulled his attention and his gaze rested on what it was. The second his eyes landed on her hand on his chest, a sweet smile spread on his lips as he admired her cuteness.

Although she was fast asleep, her beauty did not dim one bit. Rather it radiated as beautifully as the morning sun. Watching her be at peace for the first time in his life was really a changing point for him.

Vidor who had gone to bed with his wife and queen in his arms felt like his life could not be any better than it was.

For the first time in his cursed life, this was actually the time he experienced true joy and inner peace.

"Hmm... I... aahh, stay." He heard her whisper in her sleep and his smile broadened. She was obviously having a dream of their time before and it intrigued me.

Not wanting to disturb her lovely dream, Vidor chose not to move his body and peck her face. Rather, he brought his right hand to her face and caressed her skin softly.

A nice smile enveloped her face at his gesture further giving him the boost he needed.

He spent the next few minutes admiring her and caressing her face, before he moved to her hair, doing the same thing.

When he could no longer handle it, he shifted against the innermost man screaming at him and pressed his lips on her cheek.

She stirred once more as her eyes flew open and stared wildly at him.

"You..." He could read her confusion off her face and knew she had forgotten.

"What are you doing here?" Era inquired, resting on her arms to stare into his eyes.

"What do you think, my love?"

"I do not know. You tell me."

He rolled his eyes at her and shook his head. The Era that had him yesterday, was begging him to touch her and not leave. Now she was acting differently.

Without uttering a word, Vidor flicked his finger on her forehead. "Ouch," she whined. "What was that for?"

"Helping you recall," He shrugged.

"Wait!" It was then it dawned on her what had happened as she ignored the shock on her face to ask her rhetorical question. "You slept here?"

Instead of replying, Vidor leaned in again, his lips pressing outward to peck her on the lips lightly.

The corners of her lips turned up that instant. There was obviously no way but yes it happened. "Couldn’t get enough of me last night?" Era asked out of the blue.

She tried to turn the situation around, watching his behaviour and indeed it took her by surprise.

"No. I left you and returned this morning," he confessed.

Her lips parted into an ’O’ pattern as she shook her head and tried to sit up. "So my chambers were free to you last night?"

’Not my fault. When I planned on leaving, you refused and snuggled up to me because you were scared of the lightning. I had to wait for you to sleep before I went to handle some matters and came back to keep you safe from the thunder."

"Cheeky lines you learnt your majesty. I am not scared of anything."

"Yes, you are."

"No, I am not."

"Yes, you are," Vidor argued.

"No, I..." she did not get to finish her sentence when a mischievous glint flashed in Vidor’s eyes and immediately, he moved, carrying out his thoughts.

All she knew was that she was loving their argument and was determined to win when he pressed his lips against hers to silence her completely.

She opened her eyes when he broke the kiss. "You are always eager," she commented before pressing on his chest to push him back against the pillow.

Era got into a sitting position, facing Vidor and frowned. She had wanted his attention to be on her. However, it turns out, he was looking elsewhere.

Hey, what are you looking at?" Era enquired as her own gaze followed his line of sight to her body. "Aaah!"

A piercing scream fell off her lips at that instant. She had completely forgotten she was naked from the waist up and just stayed half-naked on his and before him.

She did not wait for him to act, before she reached for a pillow, threw it at him and took another one, wanting to shield her plump chest.

He moved, his body betraying him and not wanting her to cover up in front of him. "Don’t."

That was all he said to discourage her and Vidor took matters into his hand. He took her hands by her wrists, spreading them to the side and he turned her around and fell on the pillow.

Ear tried to break free but he was stronger. With her silver-blonde hair draping on her body and covering her a bit, she glared daggers at him.

"Let me go."

"No. Do not cover up for me. I want to see."

"But y-you..." the sultry look in those eyes of his made her heart swoon and her body react.

She could feel his lust and desire overflooding his eyes and mind through his eyes. He shifted, properly positioning himself between her legs, with the other leg astride her as he lowered his body on hers.

From this angle, she could see his well-sculptured chest and abs. The way his perfect body glittered in the radiating rays of the sun and those cute nipples... He was gorgeously handsome.

"You are beautiful," Era admired absent-mindedly causing his cheeks to puff up, revealing a breathtaking smile.

"Good morning, My Empress."
