Married To The Blind Alpha
Chapter 81: Ruined

Chapter 81: Ruined

Aria woke up to see Tristan still sleeping. She decided to get up and prepare food for him before he wakes up.

The moment she made her attempt to get up, a sharp pain from her neck slowed down her movement. She placed a hand on her neck and wondered why it hurt so much.

Wait. Tristan had bitten her yesterday, but yesterday wasn’t the first time he had bitten her neck, and it had never hurt like this before.

Aria thought while massaging her neck with her hand, but then a thought suddenly crossed her mind.

Did he perhaps...

Aria gasped loudly and quickly rushed to the bathroom.

The moment the bathroom door closed, Tristan opened his eyes, and a flicker of regret could be seen in his eyes.

He had dug his fangs in her before realizing what he was doing.

If he had known that her marking him would make him lose his senses, he never would have allowed it. Now everything was ruined; his Aitana was going to suffer once he left the world.

As Tristan thought of ways to fix his mistake, he felt a warm liquid coming out from his nose.

Tristan cleaned his nose and was surprised to see blood in his hand.

He quickly got up from the bed, ready to go to the other bathroom and clean himself up before Aria would see him this way, but his phone ringtone stopped him in his tracks.

He immediately answered it and heard Cole’s voice.

"He said he is ready."

Tristan glanced at the closed bathroom door and then said, "I’ll be right there."

"Yes, Alpha."

Tristan ended the call and quietly left the room.

Aria, on the other hand, was beaming in excitement as she saw a half-moon-shaped mark on her neck.

This means Tristan had really marked her.

She felt so much joy that she quickly went back into the room to wake him up, but unfortunately, he was no longer on the bed.

Where did he go?

Aria thought they were interrupted when she heard her phone ringing. She collected her phone from the nightstand, and seeing that the caller was Damien, she hesitated for a few seconds before answering it.

"I have sent you hundreds of messages since last night and have even tried calling you, but your number wasn’t going through."

"Damien, are you forgetting that I am married, and besides, you and I have nothing to talk about, so why would you leave me so many messages?

"Of course we have something to talk about. Did you show Tristan the book?"

Aria frowned. "Why are you so interested in the book? You can’t even open it, so why not forget about it?"

"Aria, whether I can open the book or not is not the problem. The issue here is that book is too powerful for you to keep it."

"What are you saying?"

"Since your house has already been searched, it’s obvious there are people looking for the book, and since they couldn’t find it in your house, then they might go after you or, worse, after Tristan."

"Hold on. Are you saying that Tristan could get hurt because of the book?"

"Think of it. What if the person who had poisoned your grandmother did so because that person was expecting your grandma to use the book to heal herself? If they could go to such lengths, then I’m sure that whoever is after that book won’t hesitate to hurt Tristan just to get to it."

Aria’s heart sank when she heard that. No, nothing can happen to Tristan. What if he is harmed because of the book?

"Aria, I know you do not wish any harm to befall the man that had helped you heal your grandmother, and that is why I have thought of a solution to this problem."

"What solution?"

"Bring the book to my pack, and I will keep it safe."

"What are you even saying? How can you keep it safe when you can’t even touch it?"

"That is why you will bring it in. We will store it in a safe no one knows about, and also the . The most important thing here is that no one would ever suspect that the book is with me."

"But...."

"Aria, you don’t have time to think about it. I haven’t been able to sleep since last time because of the fear that something might happen to you because of that book, so please listen to me and let me keep it safe for you."

"I can’t."

"What do you mean you can’t?"

"The book no longer exists, Damien."

"Why do you mean the book no longer exists?"

"Tristan found the book, and in front of me, he destroyed it. He said it was dangerous and I should never have found it."

"No, Aria, that’s impossible; a book as powerful as that can’t be easily destroyed."

"I told you he destroyed it in my presence."

"But that can’t be possible, Aria! That book was written five hundred years ago by a man who is till this day known as the most powerful sorcerer that has ever existed in this world."

"Why do you seem so interested in that book? Do you perhaps want it for yourself?"

Damien sighed and replied, "That is not it. All I’m trying to say is that it’s not possible that the book has been destroyed. Tristan has obviously lied to you, and the only reason he has done that is because he wishes to find a way to open the book and absorb its powers."

"What nonsense are you saying? I’m in a very good mood, and I don’t want you to ruin it by putting strange ideas in my head."

"Strange ideas are entering your head because you know it’s true. Tristan has manipulated in such a way that..."

"Damien. That’s enough. I may not really understand people’s obsession with that book, but what I do know is this: I don’t care about it as much as I care about Tristan."

"Ari...."

"I only care about Tristan. Whether he destroyed it or made me believe that it was destroyed, it doesn’t really matter to me."

Damien let out a dark chuckle. "So he has successfully brainwashed you. Does he know about our kiss?"

"Are you out of your mind? Why will you even bring that up? I see no need to discuss meaningless things with my husband. Tristan loves me, and I feel the same way about him, so if you have ever seen me as your friend, then you won’t ruin this for me. Bye, Damien."

Aria ended the call and was about to go look for Tristan when the door opened.

"Tristan, where did you go?"

Instead of answering her, Tristan’s gaze moved to her phone and then to her eyes as he asked, "Did you share a kiss with Damien?"
