Chapter 45: Chapter 45 Staring at Him_1

"Violin?" Ji Yunhuan looked at him, surprised. "I thought with Mr. Qi’s personality, you’d prefer your wife to stay at home every day. Why do you want me to go out and show myself?"

"I have a wide range of hobbies." He praised himself.

"No, you just like to decide other people’s lives." Ji Yunhuan smiled. She had recently dug up quite a bit of information about Qi Cheng.

A famous pianist from City A had an affair with him before they became well-known.

She said to Qi Cheng, "I’m not interested in the violin, but I am interested in money. If Mr. Qi doesn’t mind, you can teach me business."

"Really boring woman!" He said disdainfully.

Ji Yunhuan looked at him. "If you like my violin that much, accompany me to see Chenchen tomorrow, and I’ll perform for you at the bar in the evening."

For Chenchen, she was willing to please him temporarily. But letting him decide what she needed to do? He wished.

"Did you invite me to the bar today also for your brother?"

"When did I invite you to the bar? Mr. Qi, you think too much." She deliberately denied it.

He looked at her. "Really not?"

"Not at all." She avoided his eyes and placed the food in front of him. "Eat by yourself! How does it look if you keep clinging to me? Aren’t you afraid others will laugh at you?"

He was indeed childish.

"Who’s watching?" Qi Cheng looked around. Ji Yunhuan followed his gaze, finding the servants were all busy with their tasks.

Ji Yunhuan glanced at him. "Do you especially enjoy flirting with women at home? The servants are used to it?"

"Flirting, did I flirt with you?" He learned her skill of blatant denial.

Ji Yunhuan couldn’t help but laugh. "Qi Cheng, you were really starved for love as a child."

"You’re calling me childish again."

"You said it yourself. I didn’t expect Mr. Qi to be so self-aware."

"Ji Yunhuan, don’t challenge my bottom line every time." He warned.

"And what’s your bottom line?" She looked at him indifferently. "Is being fed by a woman the bottom line, or is sulking for days and not coming home the bottom line?"

"I’m just giving you a chance to perform." He looked at her in his arms. "Serving me, is it that unwilling to you?"

Especially when he was drunk, she even dared to hit him.

However, despite her cunning and poor treatment towards him, he still thought she was dazzling.

In the evening, Qi Cheng was taking a bath. Ji Yunhuan lay on the bed reading. Suddenly, she heard a voice from inside, "Ji Yunhuan, bring my pajamas in here."

Ji Yunhuan got out of bed, entered the dressing room, chose a set from the row of pajamas, and went to the bathroom. The bathroom and washroom were separate. She knocked on the door. "I placed it by the door."

"Bring it in." He ordered.

Ji Yunhuan frowned. He could come out to take it himself. Why did he insist on this? What did he mean?

"But I don’t want to go in." She didn’t want to see him bathe.

"It’s a wife’s duty." He commanded.

Just now, when she fed him, he also said it was her duty.

Ji Yunhuan was speechless.

But for Chenchen, she tried not to provoke him.

Just bring it in, right?

She opened the bathroom door, holding the pajamas, standing at the door. Her eyes scanned his almost perfect body without blinking, and she didn’t plan to leave. She occasionally praised, "Mr. Qi’s body is really great!"

Qi Cheng thought she’d bring it in and leave. Instead, she stood there, eyes glued to him.

Absolutely, not the least bit ashamed!

He took the pajamas from her hands but didn’t hurry to put them on. Instead, he leaned closer, his face almost touching hers. "So, you enjoy looking at men?"

"A man is just a man. It’s not like I haven’t seen one before."

After all, in the news, magazines, those models’ bodies were top-notch.

However, Qi Cheng’s body was no lesser than those top models.

It made her feel like she had gained something by marrying him.

Qi Cheng’s eyes darkened. "Hmph, what’s so great about Gu Yubai’s figure?"

Compared to Qi Cheng, Gu Yubai seemed slender.

Ji Yunhuan looked at him, knowing he misunderstood again. She didn’t explain but asked, "How do you know there’s nothing great about him?"

"Ji Yunhuan, you promised not to mention him in front of me."

"You brought him up first."

"You just..." He recalled her saying she had seen other men, his expression suddenly complicated. "It seems you really can’t forget about Gu Yubai."

Ji Yunhuan didn’t want to discuss this with him. She feared if the discussion continued, his petty temper would flare again.

Turning around to leave, Qi Cheng, who had already put on his clothes, suddenly grabbed her. He looked at her. "Why don’t you explain?"

"If I said there’s nothing between Gu Yubai and me, would you believe it?" She tested.

She knew, if she said it, the chances were, he might push to the final step between them.

But...

Deceiving him constantly didn’t seem right.

She had to rely on this man to live now and didn’t want to always anger him.

Qi Cheng’s expression clearly showed disbelief. "You were with him for so many years. Nothing happened? Should I believe that?"

"Then why did you marry me? Knowing this woman was ’unclean,’ you still married her; what were you thinking?" She had probed about Qi Cheng, knowing he disliked women having entanglements with other men.

Even simple scandals, he would not tolerate.

However...

He married ’unclean’ her.

Her words reminded Qi Cheng of his reasons for marrying her. He let go of her and walked out of the bathroom in big strides.

He sat on the sofa, and with a click, lit a cigarette for himself.

He seemed extremely frustrated.

Ji Yunhuan sensed his unhappiness and ignored him. She got back on the bed. She continued reading the book she had been reading, only to see Qi Cheng stand up and prepare to leave the room. "You’re leaving again?"

He stopped. "You want me to stay?"

If he stayed, he feared he’d lose control and do something to her.

Ji Yunhuan didn’t want him to stay but also didn’t want the talk of them sleeping in separate rooms reaching Chenchen’s ears. "If you feel staying in the same room is torture, I’ll sleep on the sofa. The bed is yours."

Of course, it was impossible to let him sleep on the sofa considering his stature.

Seeing her prepare to get up, intending only to stay in the room, Qi Cheng felt an indescribable comfort. He came back, stopped her, and his voice suddenly softened, "No need."

"Uh..."

"Since you hope I stay, I won’t leave." He thought she hated him. Hated him enough to hurt him physically.

"Did you misunderstand something?"

"I know you really want me to stay." Saying this, he lay down beside her, looking at her with an exceptionally passionate gaze...
