It took over an hour to finish the meal.

Ji Yunhuan said, "Every time I eat with you, it takes too long."

He held her in his arms. "A little more time together. Aren’t you happy?"

"Not happy."

"Why?"

Ji Yunhuan rolled her eyes at him. "Why should I be happy?"

"I know you’re lying." Qi Cheng replied calmly.

As they were talking, the phone rang.

Qi Cheng took out his phone. Ji Yunhuan, sitting on his lap, saw that it was Lin Xiang calling.

She stood up. "I’ll go to the living room first."

Qi Cheng tried to stop her, but his hand grasped nothing as she left. He simply answered the call. His tone was nothing like the gentle one he used with Ji Yunhuan. "What’s up?"

He felt he had developed a condition where even hearing Lin Xiang’s name made him shiver.

Even though he had clearly refused last time at the Lin Family, Grandpa and Lin’s parents still did not give up on this engagement. Hence, he answered the call.

Lin Xiang softened her voice, "Aunt wants to know when you’ll be home."

"I’m not coming back today." Qi Cheng glanced at Ji Yunhuan, who was already seated on the sofa. His voice was very indifferent. After a moment, he added, "I’m very busy these days. Don’t bother me."

"Oh." Lin Xiang’s voice sounded a bit disappointed.
