Chapter 393: Chapter 393 She Left Again_1
Hearing this, Qi Cheng’s expression turned cold. He found it hard to believe.
His second brother, beside him, showed a surprised expression. "No way?"
Qi Cheng went upstairs and found that all of Ji Yunhuan’s luggage had been taken away.
Only a note was left on the table: "You go handle your family matters. We’ll meet in City A. Qi Cheng, no matter if we can be together in the future or not, you’re still the father of the child."
Although she left, she didn’t want to make Qi Cheng too sad. After all, she just wanted to solve the problem.
Seeing this, Qi Cheng’s eyes darkened.
He wasn’t angry. He understood that she made this decision for his sake; otherwise, he wouldn’t have looked at him that way in the morning.
His second brother watched him. He had thought Qi Cheng would be angry, but unexpectedly, he remained calm.
Qi Cheng sat on the couch for a while. His second brother said, "Qi Cheng."
"It’s fine. I’ll go back with you." He knew that to keep Ji Yunhuan by his side, he first had to face his own family.
It was they who pressured Ji Yunhuan and made her unwilling to stay by his side.
Besides, he was also afraid that his stubbornness would hurt Ji Yunhuan.

In C City, Ji Yunhuan and Bai Liyan’s plane had just landed. Outside, a light rain started to fall.
Ji Yunhuan leaned against the car window with her eyes closed. From the moment she left the airport, she had been sleeping, trying to escape reality.
She dreamt of two years ago, in the military hospital, the scene of leaving Qi Cheng. She didn’t expect to return to C City.
Bai Liyan’s home was in C City. His mother wanted to see Ji Yunhuan and asked Bai Liyan to bring her over. Additionally, if they went directly back to City A, they might have to avoid Qi Cheng and face the Qi Family. So Bai Liyan brought her here.
Regarding his decision, Ji Yunhuan did not object.
Bai Liyan considered things thoroughly, and Ji Yunhuan trusted him.
The Bai Family Residence in C City was much more luxurious than Bai Liyan’s house in City A.
The car drove through the gate and stopped in the yard. Bai Liyan said to Ji Yunhuan, "Get out."
Ji Yunhuan followed him out of the car, feeling a bit nervous. "I’m a little scared to meet your dad."
"Why are you afraid of my dad?" Bai Liyan glanced at her, "You actually have things you’re afraid of?"
"I don’t know." Compared to him, his mother was much more gentle. It was hard to imagine they were a couple.
Bai Liyan laughed at Ji Yunhuan’s words. "Let’s go in. What’s there to be afraid of? My dad just doesn’t talk much."
Bai Liyan led Ji Yunhuan inside. The house was empty, much like Bai Liyan’s house in City A, except there were more servants. An old woman in an apron saw Bai Liyan and warmly greeted him, "Young master is back."
"Madam Wu." Bai Liyan nodded.
Madam Wu’s gaze fell on Ji Yunhuan. "Oh, is this the young master’s girlfriend?"
Bai Liyan glanced at Ji Yunhuan and explained, "Just a friend."
Ji Yunhuan politely nodded at Madam Wu.
Madam Wu looked at Ji Yunhuan and said, "You two sit down. I’ll go call the madam."
Though it was home, and despite having told his mother they were coming, Bai Liyan hadn’t mentioned when exactly.
Bai Liyan said to Ji Yunhuan, "Come in."
Ji Yunhuan followed him. He pointed to the living room sofa. "Sit here."
His home had a strong sense of seriousness.
Bai Liyan looked around and said, "Mom should be the only one home."
"Really?" Ji Yunhuan looked around.
Bai Liyan said, "Everyone else works and rarely comes back. Often, it’s just Mom at home."
He had someone prepare tea for Ji Yunhuan and sat down himself.
Back at home, he stretched his limbs. "Traveling is really tiring."
Ji Yunhuan said apologetically, "I’m sorry for always causing you trouble."
"How much trouble can you cause me?" Bai Liyan smiled at her.
A servant brought in the tea.
Before long, his mother came in with Madam Wu.
"Yunhuan." As soon as she came in, his mother greeted Ji Yunhuan.
Ji Yunhuan smiled and said, "Auntie."
Bai Liyan teased by the side, "Every time Mom sees Yunhuan, she doesn’t notice her own son."
His mother smiled. "That’s not true. Yunhuan rarely visits, so I have to treat her well. But you, as family, there’s no need for formalities."
Ji Yunhuan smiled at Bai Liyan, knowing he wasn’t really jealous.
Every time she saw his mother, she felt an especially warm feeling, and all her fatigue vanished.
"Auntie is always so good to me."
His mother looked at Ji Yunhuan. "How is the child?"
"Hmm, it’s over three months now. Everything’s fine," Ji Yunhuan said. "The doctor said there’s no need to worry for now."
"That’s good." His mother looked at Ji Yunhuan’s belly, thoughtfully saying, "When this child is born, I’ll be a grandma."
His mother’s words startled Ji Yunhuan, who glanced uneasily at Bai Liyan.
Bai Liyan also looked at Ji Yunhuan.
They stayed downstairs for a while. The servants had already prepared a room for Ji Yunhuan.
This time, she didn’t take over Bai Liyan’s room but stayed in the one next to his.
Bai Liyan accompanied her inside. "If there’s anything you’re not satisfied with, tell the servants. This is your home. Don’t be shy."
Seeing she remained silent, thinking she was still afraid of his father, Bai Liyan comforted her, "Dad rarely comes home. Even if he does, it’s late. Don’t worry."
Ji Yunhuan looked at Bai Liyan, feeling a bit uneasy. "I’m thinking of telling Auntie the truth about the child. Now that Qi Cheng knows, I don’t want to deceive Auntie anymore. She’s been so good to me. Deceiving her is too wrong."
Bai Liyan understood how Ji Yunhuan felt. This matter couldn’t be hidden forever. It was better to tell his mother than for her to find out on her own.
He said to Ji Yunhuan, "I’ll tell her. She’ll understand."
"I’ll tell her with you." Ji Yunhuan didn’t want to leave everything to Bai Liyan. "I have my own responsibility in this too. You don’t have to bear it all alone."
"You’re too serious." Bai Liyan smiled helplessly.
Ji Yunhuan stayed in the room and took a shower.
His mother prepared dinner.
Ji Yunhuan and Bai Liyan went downstairs together.
During dinner, his mother said to Ji Yunhuan, "Eat more."
Looking at how good she was to her, Ji Yunhuan felt uneasy in her heart. She feared that the truth would hurt his mother, but this matter couldn’t be kept a secret any longer.
