Chapter 357: Chapter 357: Getting Rid of Her Child (5)_1
"If you die, I’ll burn more paper offerings for you next year," Ji Yunhuan said coldly. Her compassion would never be wasted on this family.
Aunt Liu walked out. "Miss, I’ve called the police."
"Then let’s wait for the police to come. Looking at them, it seems they have no intention of leaving." No matter how coldly she treated them, as long as they saw profit in staying, they would brazenly persist.
After all, many people in this world valued their kinship and blood relations.
But Ji Yunhuan was always used to being indifferent. Facing people she disliked, she really didn’t want to waste any emotion on them.
"Ji Yunhuan!" Ji Min was furious. She had come here properly to see her, even brought things, but ended up not even getting through the door, nor a sip of water.
Ji Yunhuan looked at her indifferently. "If you don’t leave, then stay here."
"Mom, let’s go." Ji Min grabbed her mother’s hand, ready to leave. They could forgo borrowing money, but she didn’t want to lose face in front of Bai Liyan.
"But..." Not having borrowed any money, her aunt didn’t want to leave. Among their relatives, Ji Yunhuan was the most promising. Although Ji Yunhuan had a bad temper, she had money. When she was with Qi Cheng, he had helped the Ji Family a lot. She wanted to plead with Ji Yunhuan again, hoping she might soften.
"Let’s go!" In the end, Ji Min forcefully dragged her mother away.
She knew Ji Yunhuan was capable of anything. If the police really came, it would be extremely embarrassing.
After they left, Ji Yunhuan returned to the house. Bai Liyan brought out the breakfast he had prepared and placed it in front of her. "Try my cooking."
It didn’t look like he was a novice. Ji Yunhuan couldn’t help but praise, "You’re really good at cooking."
"It’s okay." Bai Liyan smiled modestly.
He sat down beside Ji Yunhuan. Seeing she was still angry, he advised, "Don’t let others affect your mood. It’s not worth it. Didn’t the doctor say you need to control your emotions well?"
"Yes, I know." If Ji Min hadn’t suddenly brought up Qi Cheng, she wouldn’t have been this angry.
She hated herself a little.
So useless.
These relatives she was related to by blood, yet she always treated them kindly because of Qi Cheng.
If that family had been nicer to her in the past two years, she wouldn’t have acted so rudely today.
Without Qi Cheng, would any of them even remember her?
Ji Yunhuan originally thought that after she chased them away, those two would give up. But she overestimated them.
After leaving the Ji Family, Ji Min and her mother went directly to the Qi Family.
Because they said they were looking for Qi Cheng and were Ji Yunhuan’s relatives, the Qi Family’s servants let them in.
Qi Cheng had just finished swimming. Seeing them, he frowned, "What are you here for?"
"Brother-in-law," Ji Min said flatteringly.
That word inexplicably made Qi Cheng feel melancholic.
And worsened his mood.
Recalling what happened at the hospital that day, he unconsciously clenched his fist.
"Chase them out," Qi Cheng said bluntly.
Ji Min thought he was being cold because Ji Yunhuan didn’t like them. She quickly said, "Brother-in-law, I have something to tell you."
Qi Cheng sat down, looking at her coldly. "What could you possibly have to say to me?"
"It’s about my sister," she said affectionately.
"What could your sister have to do with me?" Despite his anger, Qi Cheng was surprisingly patient when it came to matters concerning Ji Yunhuan.
Ji Min said, "I just came from my sister’s house and saw her with another man. She’s really too much. I couldn’t stand it and scolded her for you. You’re so good to her. How could she be with another man behind your back?"
This was a sore spot for Qi Cheng, and Ji Min kept poking at it.
The female housekeeper standing beside them could sense Qi Cheng’s displeasure and was extremely nervous. But Ji Min continued speaking.
Qi Cheng took a sip of his brewed flower tea, looking at Ji Min indifferently. "You keep calling her sister, yet you’re here spilling her secrets. What should I think of you?"
Bai Liyan had returned yesterday. Ji Yunhuan was carrying Bai Liyan’s child. It was completely normal for them to be together.
As for Ji Min before him...
Although he and Ji Yunhuan had broken up, Qi Cheng still disliked the woman standing before him, talking badly about Ji Yunhuan.
Ji Min was surprised that Qi Cheng wasn’t angry when he heard Ji Yunhuan was with another man.
She explained, "I just think you’re so good to my sister. She shouldn’t treat you this way. I’m speaking for your sake."
"Speaking for my sake?" Qi Cheng couldn’t help but chuckle. "Go on. Why are you really here?"
"It’s like this," began Ji Yunhuan’s aunt. "Our family is in trouble and we want to borrow some money from you. We went to Yunhuan earlier, and she told us to come to you."
"She said that?" Qi Cheng asked.
Ji Min and her aunt felt a bit guilty.
But there was no other way; Qi Cheng was their only hope now.
So they had to reluctantly say, "Yes."
Qi Cheng stood up. "Alright, wait here!"
Knowing Ji Yunhuan, how could she possibly tell her relatives to come find him?
Even if she needed something, she probably wouldn’t come to him.
Especially since Ji Min had badmouthed Ji Yunhuan the moment they met.
So stupid!
Qi Cheng left the living room.
The female housekeeper followed. "Sir, should I have them thrown out?"
"No need." Qi Cheng stood outside the door. "Give me my phone."
The female housekeeper quickly had someone bring Qi Cheng’s phone.
He took the phone and dialed a number.
Ji Yunhuan was resting in the living room after breakfast when her phone suddenly rang. Checking the caller ID, she saw it was Qi Cheng.
What did he want?
She frowned and answered the call.
"What’s up?"
Her cold voice reached Qi Cheng’s ears, causing his heart to tighten.
But recalling her painful expression in the hospital that day because of the child, he had to control himself, suppressing his inner turmoil.
"Come and get your family out of here," Qi Cheng said coldly into the phone.
Ji Yunhuan paused.
Hearing his increasingly impatient tone, she was also baffled. "Family? What family?"
Was he just looking for trouble?
"Your cousin and aunt!" Qi Cheng spat before hanging up.
Ji Yunhuan put down her phone. Aunt? Cousin? Damn, they went to Qi Cheng?
Bai Liyan walked over, noticing her darkened expression, and asked worriedly, "What’s wrong?"
"My aunt and Ji Min went to Qi Cheng. They must be asking for money." Thinking about it, Ji Yunhuan was speechless.
Don’t they have any shame?
She clearly said she had nothing to do with Qi Cheng.
