Chapter 334: Chapter 334 Baby, Don’t Cry (2)_1

"Then I’ll continue cooking." Aunt Liu was quite flattered by the reception from a child she had just met for the first time. She thought maybe she should buy a lottery ticket later.

Seeing that Aunt Liu was about to leave, Yangyang started crying again, louder and more intense than before. Aunt Liu had to stop and pay attention to him. "Ms. Ji, is the young master okay?"

"He’s fine. He’s just throwing a tantrum on purpose!" Ji Yunhuan stared at Yangyang. The more he disliked her and embarrassed her, the less she wanted to let him go.

"Ms. Ji, I think it may not be a good idea to be a stepmom. Maybe you should return the child to his biological mother. Look at him crying..." Aunt Liu advised kindly.

She also felt a bit sorry for Ji Yunhuan.

"Stepmom?" Ji Yunhuan couldn’t help but chuckle. "You think I’m a stepmom?"

Her cold tone made Aunt Liu pause, realizing she might have misspoken.

Ji Yunhuan explained, "He is my own son."

This surprised Aunt Liu.

Qi Cheng suddenly brought a child back, and Aunt Liu had no idea why. She scrutinized Ji Yunhuan. "But Ms. Ji, you don’t look like someone who has given birth! Your figure is too good."

"But I did give birth to him. I separated from Qi Cheng after I had him, so..." She raised her head and saw Aunt Liu’s astonished expression. She laughed, "What, did you always think I was a mistress kept by Mr. Qi? He is my ex-husband."

There was no need to hide it from Aunt Liu. Ji Yunhuan herself found it somewhat laughable.

What kind of mother would be so disregarded by her own child?

And even mistaken for a stepmother by others.

"I misspoke." Aunt Liu glanced at the still crying Yangyang and swiftly ran out without saying more.

Ji Yunhuan looked at Yangyang, who was crying his heart out in her arms, her tone becoming stern. "Qi Jingyang, if you keep crying, I will never let you see your beloved mommy again. I will keep you by my side every day. Do you want to try that?"

Yangyang stared at Ji Yunhuan through his tears, seemingly shocked that she could be so heartless.

His face, still wet with tears, looked pitiful and delicate. "You’re mean. Waaa..."

He was heartbroken.

And didn’t want to leave his second sister-in-law.

Ji Yunhuan said, "I am mean. If I wasn’t, would you be treating me like this today? You met Aunt Liu for the first time today, and you would rather have her hold you than me, right? You are deliberately despising me?"

She figured it out.

The little thing was making her sad on purpose.

Yangyang glared at her hatefully but stopped crying, though his eyes still held deep resentment.

Ji Yunhuan helplessly extended her hand to wipe his tears. "Yangyang, do you really hate me this much? Why don’t you tell me what I should do to make you like me a little?"

"I want to see mommy."

"If you listen to me, I’ll take you to see her, okay?" Ji Yunhuan coaxed.

Yangyang stared at her, not believing a word she said.

Ji Yunhuan said, "You just had a nap. You must be a bit uncomfortable. Let me change your clothes, okay?"

Because it was summer, he had sweated a bit.

Yangyang ignored her.

Ji Yunhuan brought the clothes over and started undressing him. He covered his chest. "No..."

His reaction made him look like he was being peeked at, and Ji Yunhuan couldn’t help but laugh. "If you don’t get dressed, I’ll take a picture. Where’s my phone?"

"I don’t want you."

"Then who do you want? Aunt Liu? She’s busy now and doesn’t have time for you."

"I don’t want you," he said, treating Ji Yunhuan like his enemy.

Even though Yangyang still disliked her, at least he was willing to talk instead of just crying like he did when he first woke up.

Ji Yunhuan held out the clothes. "Come on, put them on. You don’t really want to stay with me here, do you? Put on your clothes so you can go and get away from me!"

Seemingly finding sense in what Ji Yunhuan said, Yangyang, having cried enough, reached out and put on his clothes.

Seeing him dressed, looking handsome, Ji Yunhuan picked up a comb and tidied his short hair, placing him in front of the mirror. "Look how handsome you are! Don’t you think we look a bit alike?"

"..." Yangyang sullenly looked at himself in the mirror, unwilling to acknowledge it. At two and a half years old, he didn’t really understand the concept of ’alike.’

"Dinner’s ready," Qi Cheng said as he pushed the door open and walked in.

Hearing his voice, Yangyang quickly broke free from Ji Yunhuan and ran toward him.

Qi Cheng picked him up. "I thought you didn’t want to talk to me?"

"I want to go back." He knew only Qi Cheng could take him back.

"You’re staying here tonight. We’re not going back." Qi Cheng said, "Staying here isn’t so bad, is it?"

Yangyang looked at Ji Yunhuan warily, as if she might eat him, feeling extremely wronged and continually rubbing his hands.

Downstairs, the three of them sat together for dinner.

Yangyang sat in his seat, silent, refusing to eat even when food was placed in front of him.

Ji Yunhuan looked at him. "You don’t want to eat any of these dishes? What do you want? I’ll peel a shrimp for you." Last time, watching him with his second sister-in-law, he loved eating shrimp.

Seeing no response from him, Ji Yunhuan peeled one and handed it to him. "Here, it’s your favorite, right?"

Yangyang glanced at it and took it.

Ji Yunhuan felt joy.

The next second, she saw Yangyang throw the peeled shrimp far away.

It felt as if Yangyang had thrown Ji Yunhuan’s efforts on the ground and stomped on them.

She looked at Qi Cheng helplessly and sighed. "He really doesn’t like me. No matter what I do..."

"Aunt Liu," Qi Cheng called.

Aunt Liu quickly came out. "Sir."

"He isn’t eating. Try to get him to eat a bit," Qi Cheng said. He knew Yangyang preferred Aunt Liu over him and Ji Yunhuan.

Though he’d rather Yangyang didn’t reject Ji Yunhuan, he was too young. You couldn’t beat him or force him to do something he didn’t want to do.

"Alright," Aunt Liu removed her apron, sat down, and gently asked Yangyang, "What does the young master want to eat? This?"

She placed various dishes before him. Seeing Yangyang reluctant to move, she picked some food and fed him. "How about eating some of this?"

He shook his head vigorously, not even giving Aunt Liu any face. "I want mommy. I want mommy."

"Mommy is right here. What more do you want?" Qi Cheng said impatiently.

He had lost his patience.

This little one had been causing trouble since he arrived. He hadn’t listened to a single word Qi Cheng said.

Qi Cheng’s shout startled Yangyang for a couple of seconds, and then he started crying loudly again, just like when he first woke up, crying his heart out.
