"Let’s go to sleep!" Chenchen looked at her tearful face, feeling powerless.

"Taken him away?" Su Zi frowned, realizing Chenchen must have gone back to the Qi Family. "But why didn’t he wake me?"

"He called back at two in the morning. He didn’t want to wake you," her mother said helplessly, looking at Su Zi. "Mom knows he’s a good boy, but A’Zi, you two aren’t suitable for each other."

"Chenchen himself called back?" Su Zi looked at her mother in surprise.

Her mother nodded, "Mm."

By that time, everyone had just gone to sleep. Ji Yunhuan received the call. Upon hearing Chenchen’s voice, she couldn’t describe her joy and quickly went out with Qi Cheng. Su Zi’s father and mother, hearing the commotion, naturally also cared about Su Zi’s situation and came out.

When they arrived, Su Zi had already fallen asleep. Chenchen was sitting alone in the living room waiting for them.

Tears welled up in her eyes.

Her mother felt heartbroken seeing this but kept her rationality. "You like him, but that’s just infatuation; that’s not love. You are still young, do you know what love is? Love is a lifelong companionship, not a moment of passion. Being with him in the future would be a burden, and you won’t last long."

"I don’t care! I just want to stay by his side for a few more years. Right now, I’m still young. I have time. I want to be with him. I don’t want to regret it one day," Su Zi pleaded, gripping her mother’s hand. "Mom, please let me be willful this once. I just want to be with him. It’s such a simple request. Can you not agree to it?"

"No, we’ve already booked tickets to go back abroad. We don’t want to delay anymore. What you’ve done this time has made your dad very angry. Look at yourself now, what do you look like? "Now your brother is dead, and she married Qi Cheng without hesitation. What does your brother mean to her? With someone so cold-hearted, how good can her brother be?"

"Enough." Su Zi coldly interrupted her mother. "I don’t want to hear you say this. I can see with my own eyes and discern whether the person I like is right or wrong."

"Su Zi!" Her mother wanted to say more.

Su Zi had already pushed open the door and ran out.

She didn’t go anywhere else because she worried about Chenchen. She went straight back to the Qi Residence.

Originally, she thought they would return together, but he came back ahead of her, leaving her behind.

Entering the Qi Residence, she headed directly to the annex. Because of Chenchen’s departure, the servants, who hadn’t slept well for days, stood lined up at the door. "Ms. Su."

"Has Chenchen returned? I want to see him." She walked into the living room. Qi Cheng and her second sister-in-law were seated there. Her second sister-in-law had come over in the morning knowing Chenchen had returned.

Ji Yunhuan came down from upstairs, stopping on the stairs when she saw Su Zi.

She looked at Su Zi with indifferent eyes.

Having just gotten up, when Su Zi arrived, she hadn’t even properly tidied herself. Where was the flawless little princess usually seen?

Her mind was only on Chenchen. She feared something had happened to him, so she rushed over without thinking.
