Chapter 115: Chapter 115 She Likes Herself_1

"Sir, are you planning to go out?" The female housekeeper looked at Qi Cheng, who had just finished breakfast and was getting dressed to go out.

"I have some things to confirm." Qi Cheng walked out the door, taking the keys himself. He intended to drive out on his own.

The female housekeeper wanted to stop him, but seeing how serious he looked, she could only say with concern, "Then please be careful?"

Bai Liyan had just finished a medical meeting and came out to see Qi Cheng waiting for him at the door.

He knew Qi Cheng had been angry with him, but since the reason was Ji Yunhuan, Bai Liyan couldn’t be bothered to apologize to Qi Cheng.

It was surprising that Qi Cheng came to see him so late. "Is there something you need from me?"

"What did you say to Ji Yunhuan that day?"

"Say about what?" A hint of displeasure flashed in Bai Liyan’s eyes. "We have argued many times over this matter. What, after all these days, are you still mad? Are you looking to settle accounts with me?"

"This question is important to me. Answer me seriously." Qi Cheng’s expression was very serious.

For the sake of their past friendship, Bai Liyan decided to satisfy his curiosity. "Just talked about Su Molang."

"And what about her family matters? Did you mention that?" Qi Cheng asked.

Upon hearing this, Bai Liyan seemed to understand something. "So, you were so furious that day because you thought I mentioned her family matters?"

"You mean you didn’t say it?" Qi Cheng caught the meaning in Bai Liyan’s words.

"Nonsense! You’ve always been the one tricking me. When have I ever tricked you? You’re already married to her. What good would it do for me to say those things?" Bai Liyan rubbed his temples wearily. "Young Master Qi, where has your intelligence gone?"

His innocent look only made Qi Cheng angrier. "But you told me on the phone that you had told her everything."

"About Su Molang’s matters, I definitely said everything. She looked very guilty after hearing it!" Bai Liyan looked somewhat innocently at Qi Cheng.

Thinking about how Qi Cheng had been anxious over this matter for a week, he suddenly found it quite funny.

Qi Cheng gave Bai Liyan a cold glare and walked out the door.

So, Ji Yunhuan didn’t know!

It turned out he had overthought things.

He recalled the words she had asked him when she came back that day and then his own response. Ji Yunhuan must have thought he was with her because of Su Molang...

They had misunderstood each other.

And the fact that she got angry over these things proved...

She truly liked him!

An entire week of tangled emotions dissipated in an instant.

The car adjusted its course on the road. Qi Cheng sat in the car, wishing there was a door that could take him straight home.

The person he loved also loved him.

Was there anything happier in this world?

After driving for a while, he suddenly slowed down.

He was eager to see her, but he didn’t want anything to happen before he could see her. He needed to ensure he got to her safely.

The clock in the living room slowly pointed to eleven.

Qi Cheng pushed open the door and walked in. The female housekeeper was waiting at the door. "Sir..."

"Don’t disturb me." Seeing her about to speak, Qi Cheng interrupted her. He didn’t have the mind to hear anything else right now. He only wanted to get to Ji Yunhuan.

It had been a long time since she had seen him walking so briskly. The female housekeeper looked at his back in great surprise.

It seemed his outing this time had led to something happy.

As a housekeeper protective of her masters, her mood improved as well.

But not long after, the bell upstairs rang.

The female housekeeper quickly walked up and asked Qi Cheng, who was standing at the bedroom door with a cold face, "Sir, is there something wrong?"

"Where is the Madam?" She wasn’t in the room; he looked everywhere but couldn’t find her.

It felt like winning a lottery and then losing the ticket.

The female housekeeper replied, "I was just about to tell you, Madam just went out."

"So late?" Qi Cheng frowned, and a sense of disappointment overwhelmed him.

It was already eleven.

He had thought she was sleeping.

Could it be that today’s events had made her angry?

Did she think he didn’t like her and ran away from home?

Qi Cheng regretted it immensely.

But without confirming that she didn’t know everything, he truly didn’t know how to react.

He went back to the room and started checking things.

"What are you looking for, Sir?" the female housekeeper asked.

"Did she take anything with her?" As soon as he asked, Qi Cheng’s gaze fell on her things still in the room.

It seemed she didn’t.

Qi Cheng let out a sigh of relief.

The female housekeeper then explained, "Madam’s friend fell ill, so Madam hurried out."

"Did she go alone?"

"Because I was worried, I had someone follow her," the female housekeeper, always thorough, responded.

Ji Yunhuan had just finished handling the hospitalization procedures at the hospital.

Warmth had fallen ill, and with her husband not at home, she had called Ji Yunhuan, who had rushed over late at night to bring Warmth to the hospital.

It was acute appendicitis and needed surgery, so instead of waiting for Warmth’s husband to return, Ji Yunhuan had handled the procedures.

During Qi Cheng’s absence, she had met Warmth several times. So when Warmth was in trouble, she thought of Ji Yunhuan.

Ji Yunhuan didn’t have many friends, so she cherished those who were always good to her.

"Madam, why don’t you go home and rest? I’ll stay here and keep watch!" proposed the servant who came with her.

"How could that be? She’s my friend. Of course I have to stay with her." Others could take care of her, but the friendship couldn’t be replaced.

Even though Ji Yunhuan appeared cold, she was someone deeply affectionate.

After the surgery, Warmth lay on the hospital bed and looked apologetically at Ji Yunhuan, who had been called over so late. "I’m sorry for disturbing you so late."

"It’s okay."

"I originally didn’t want to bother you, but my husband wasn’t here..."

"I understand." Ji Yunhuan said, "It’s fine as long as you’re okay. Why are you being so polite?"

"Calling you over so late, isn’t he going to be upset?" In the eyes of others, Qi Cheng always looked very aloof, so no one knew his temper.

"Even lying in bed you’re so nosy." Ji Yunhuan said, "It’s fine. I’m here to take care of you."

"I’m just afraid he’ll get mad." Warmth said, "Now that the surgery is done, you can go back and rest. My husband should be back by dawn."

"I’ll stay here. It doesn’t matter whether I go back or not."

Ji Yunhuan sat down.

Seeing her so indifferent, Warmth worriedly asked, "Did you two have a fight?"

Ji Yunhuan thought about their conversation at dinner. It probably didn’t count as a fight, right?

But hearing that Qi Cheng went out after dinner, perhaps he was angry?

Seeing Ji Yunhuan remain silent, Warmth frowned with concern. "You two haven’t even gotten out of the honeymoon phase yet! How did you end up fighting?"

"It’s not that bad! We didn’t really fight."

"But there must be something wrong with the relationship. No newlywed bride spends all her time with me if things are good."
