Before he went to register, Li Chenmo helped his wife to sit on the bench and said, "Wife, wait here. I will register first."

"Okay," Lu Jueyu nodded with a frown.

It had been several days since she felt the contractions. Although she was not a doctor, she had read books and articles she found on her space's bookshelves about pregnancy before, and knew that this was one of the signs of the first stage of labor.

As they left the village, the villagers watched them with curiosity. Everyone knew that it was almost time for Lu Jueyu to go into labor.

Not long after, Li Chenmo returned with the doctor and a nurse. The doctor pulled the curtain close and checked on her condition for a moment.

When she was done, she said, "Prepare the delivery room. She is almost ready."

The nurse was surprised by the doctor's words. It was the first time she had met with someone who only called the doctor when she was almost ready for labor.

Usually, people would call for a doctor the moment they felt the pain intensify. Even though she was surprised, she still went out and prepared the delivery room.

In less than half an hour, a group of nurses came with a wheel stretcher. Before they could lift Lu Jueyu to the stretcher, Li Chenmo said, "Comrade, let me do it."

Then, under everyone's gaze, he carried his wife from the bed and put her gently on the stretcher. When the nurses saw his muscles tighten, they could only stare with wide eyes full of envy.
