Chapter 377
"Ahhh! I’m so tired!" Grey shouted as he pushed the door to the house open, only to see Clarice, Millie, and Vanessa happily chatting away while doing some chores.
"Brother Grey!" Millie shouted as she dashed forward and gave Grey a tight hug despite his sweaty body.
"Careful, Millie. My body is still sore from pushing a mountain today," Grey groaned.
"Huh? You really pushed a mountain?" Millie asked with a raised brow, tilting her head slightly in curiosity.
"Yup. Your dad is really strict," Grey said, collapsing onto the sofa when footsteps echoed right behind him.
"Stop being dramatic. You didn’t push any mountain," Yami said as he walked in, giving Grey a light tap on his head.
"But it definitely felt like that," Grey scoffed as they all settled on the sofa while Clarice walked in, her apron dusted with flour.
"Hey, Grey, how was the training?" Clarice asked with a warm smile as she handed him a cup of juice.
"Training? I felt like my body was going to break during the session," Grey replied as he accepted the cup of juice with a smile, greedily gulping it down as if it were the best thing he’d ever tasted.
"Well, that’s the point, pretty boy," Vanessa chuckled as she walked in, wearing a light, flowing gown that highlighted her toned body.
"Tell him about it," Yami scoffed as he stood up after drinking water. "I’m off to spend my time taking a huge dump. If anybody needs me, you know where to find me," he said as he walked off.
"That guy is never going to change, right?" Grey asked, and everybody shook their head in sync.
"Is he ever serious?"
"Trust me, in my sixteen years of being on this continent, I’ve never seen Dad serious before. He’s always this goofy fellow—even when teaching his disciples," Vanessa replied, shrugging casually.
"Wait, goofy fellow to his disciples?" Grey asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yup. Wait, wasn’t he jokey with you?" Clarice asked.
"Hell no! Dude literally threw me off a mountain for refusing to run up and down it, and you call him a goofy fellow?" Grey shuddered, recalling how he almost came close to getting pulverized.
"What?!" the girls all exclaimed in shock.
"You’re lucky he didn’t almost punch a hole in your face for being naughty," Finral said as he walked into the house in an orange attire of some kind, his expression as brooding as ever. Without another word, he walked off again.
"Sometimes I wonder if that guy is really a member of this family or your son. Your husband is always smiling, but he’s always frowning," Grey said, shaking his head as he stared at Clarice.
"He... he’s still trying to get used to having you around," Vanessa said.
"Oh! So he doesn’t want me here?" Grey asked with a raised eyebrow just as Finral walked back in.
"Isn’t that so obvious? Wow! The genius finally figured it all out," Finral scoffed as he walked away again.
"Don’t mind him, Grey. He’ll come around soon and appreciate your presence here," Clarice said with a reassuring smile, patting him on the shoulder.
"I will never!" Finral shouted from the kitchen.
"If you don’t shut your big, fat hole, I’m going to come in there and drill several holes in your body that you won’t know which one to breathe from.
And trust me, your Ki won’t be able to help or even save you," Clarice shouted down angrily as she let out a small burst of energy in the house, rattling the sofa they sat on.
’Yikes! I don’t think I have ever seen her this angry before. It would be wise not to mess with her, ever,’ Grey gulped loudly, sweat trickling down the side of his face.
"Anyway, Grey, go freshen up and get some rest because I doubt Yami would even spare you tomorrow," Clarice said as she patted Grey on the head with a smile.
"Got it," Grey nodded, dragging himself off the sofa and trudging toward his room, already dreading tomorrow’s sunrise.
"You think? That dude is like a psychopath sometimes," Grey scoffed as he stood up and walked towards the bathroom to freshen up.
’But what did I expect? The path to gaining strength or power is never easy, so I just have to suck up whatever complaints and struggles I face and put that energy into becoming the strongest being ever.
Who knows, I might as well become the Supreme Yun warrior soon,’ Grey chuckled quietly to himself as he walked into the bathroom, the sound of running water echoing faintly as he shut the door behind him.

In a mysterious building located in an undisclosed area far from civilization, a meeting was currently underway on the upper floor of a tall, shadowy structure.
No—more like it was a formal report of some kind, a tense one at that.
"What do you mean by you lost him?" a man wearing a yellow mask asked coldly, his voice echoing through the silent room as he glared at another man kneeling before him.
The kneeling figure wore a yellow outfit marked with the insignia of a blazing yellow sun on his chest.
"I’m so sorry!" the young man—none other than Sunny, the one who had attacked Grey in town—pleaded, bowing his head low in shame.
"You are sorry? Do you know how long it took to track those slippery bastards?" the masked man snapped, his voice rising with fury as his gloved hands clenched tightly into fists on the table before him.
"We managed to get him, and you let him go because you spotted another supposed member? How ridiculous!" the masked man shouted, clearly holding himself back from slamming the table into pieces.
"I... I made a mistake, sir. Please forgive me!" Sunny stammered, his forehead nearly touching the ground now as he begged.
"Hell yeah, you made a huge mistake! You let a member of the Red Brigade go because you spotted a red-haired individual who you assumed was also a member without confirming facts!" the masked man continued, his voice dripping with venom.
"The people who stopped you—who are they? The red-haired one—who is he?"
"I... I don’t know, sir. I was so close to capturing one of the people that protected the red-haired boy, but Crescent Duke came and interrupted me," Sunny admitted, his voice trembling slightly.
"Duke?" the masked man asked, his tone shifting slightly, a mix of suspicion and curiosity. "Why would Duke stop you from doing that?"
"I... I really don’t know," Sunny replied, keeping his head bowed, too scared to meet the masked man’s gaze. free.webn\ove(l)(.)c(o)m
’Why would Duke do something like that? He doesn’t do anything without a solid reason. Unless he knows something which I don’t... and he’s hiding it from me. He does look shady to me though,’ the masked man thought silently, his mind racing through possibilities.
Then, snapping back to reality, he leaned forward slightly and spoke again, voice low and dangerous.
"I was supposed to punish you for this... but now, I want to assign you another task. Find out who the red-haired boy is. Find out who those people that protected him are."
His voice dropped to a near whisper now, laced with intent.
"And when you do... we will go on the attack and wipe them all out for injuring some of our men. Is that understood?"
"Yes, sir!" Sunny saluted sharply, standing up with rigid discipline. He bowed once more and then turned, exiting the room without another word.
The masked man remained seated, his gloved fingers tapping rhythmically on the table as he stared into the shadows.
’The red-haired boy... I will find out exactly who you are.’
