Chapter 661: Chapter 521: Tribulation Fire Technique_3
"And even if it was that traitor, she could not perfectly wield the power of the Great Skill. A common seed can only exert 30% of the power, at most, she could reach 50%!"
"In the Land of Senluo, no one has ever been able to perfectly host a god. First Gospel, you are invincible!"
Igula asked, "Given that it is a technique nearly of a Divine Being, can an ordinary Mage harness this power?"
"It cannot. Hosting a god consumes the very essence of the Great Skill, independent of the Mage’s own strength. Thus, the Great Skill will become weaker with each use until it perishes. Many sects have also vanished because of this," the Priest in the red robe said. "But the Tribulation Fire Technique is currently at its peak. First Gospel, you can use it as you please, even burning down the Four Pillars God Sect into ashes without a problem!"
That’s it, I could find no reason to refuse.
Perhaps it was too hot, Ash and the others felt themselves drenched in sweat as they stared at the intensely blazing Flame White Tiger, their scalps tingling.
"How is the Host God ritual performed?" Harvey suddenly asked. When the red-robed Priest looked over, he continued, "Can we also try hosting the god?"
The Priest hesitated for a moment, but seeing that Ash remained silent, he said, "No problem, the Host God ritual is simple. As long as you can touch the Tribulation Fire Technique, it is considered a success."
Harvey glanced at the others and without hesitation, walked towards the Flame White Tiger. However, after only a couple of steps, he seemed as though he had been scalded, steam emanating from all his pores. Another red-robed Priest immediately embraced him and carried him out.
With a thud outside, Harvey let out a heart-wrenching scream. Then Ash and Igula showed no reaction — before entering this room, they had passed an ice-cold pool, and Harvey looked as if he was steamed, so his scream was not from pain but from the chilling thrill of ice and fire.
"His mindset is far too different from the Tribulation Fire Technique," the red-robed Priest said indifferently. "Even us, the followers of the tribulation, must always keep our prohibitions, adhere to the doctrines, and not ignite the passionate tribulation within our hearts. Moreover, we must enter the Silent Spiral to become seeds before we can approach the Great Skill and pray to host.
A consistent mindset?
Ash was struck by a thought. He placed his hand on the Swindler’s shoulder, signaling him not to hypnotize himself, then confidently walked towards the Flame White Tiger.
Igula watched Ash take two steps to where Harvey had been scorched and held his breath—Harvey and he could afford to fail, but not Ash. If Ash failed, he would expose himself as not being the First Gospel, or even if he really was the First Gospel, it wouldn’t matter. The Holy Temple of the tribulation didn’t need the First Gospel, but a Savior who could complete the Host God ritual!
However, hosting required a consistent mindset. How could they possibly share the same notions as a Saint with firm beliefs? They didn’t even know what the beliefs of the Flame White Tiger were!
Unless it was a universal adapter, who could possibly host?
The red-robed Priests were also extremely nervous, breathing in the hot steam as though their respiratory tracts were made of steel.
Under everyone’s gaze, Ash crossed Harvey’s scorch line, and then—
Nothing happened.
One step, two steps, three steps...
He almost effortlessly walked up to the Flame White Tiger, and then reached out to touch the white flames on the large fiery cat’s head.
