Chapter 466: Chapter 385 Deja Vu_3
"How do your rumors even manage to upgrade themselves, next thing I know I will be crying rivers?" Igula said irritably, "I just...can’t see any hope."
"What hope?"
"The hope to turn the situation around." Igula’s voice lowered, "Hanna, Belladett, Senheiser, the Yisu Royal Family, Red Hat, and so many more... In the Kingdom of Gospel, there are only two types of people now: those who want to kill us and those who want to use us. Besides the ethereal wish of the Divine Lord, I can no longer find any way out."
"Can we really survive the Weaving Festival? Is there anyone in the Gospel who can still help us?" Igula looked down at the blurry reflection of himself in the water, a drop of water fell from his hair, creating ripples, "Harvey only knows about his Alice, and you are out of tune too. I’m constantly wondering what to do... I really have..."
Ever since arriving in the Kingdom of Gospel, the pressure on Igula had increased day by day.
"Art Rankings," "Family Rankings" had made them the top topic of the apocalypse in Gospel overnight. Igula thought daily about how to deal with the increasingly crumbling public opinion. However, he was under the watch of Hanna and Banjee. This disadvantageous situation, almost leaving no way out, had exhausted the Swindler, and recently falling into the hands of Belladett added insult to injury to his already disaster-ridden family.
The loss at the Void Realm Combat Arena felt like the last straw breaking his mental defenses. Igula felt as if Fortune had lifted her skirt only to pull a Hand Cannon from her thigh strap and shoot him.
He knew complaining wouldn’t solve any problems but he felt incredibly aggrieved. In the past, he would never show such weakness. The most important thing for a Swindler was to always maintain the persona of being ’without a missed calculation,’ once that image was shattered, no one would believe his deceits again.
Perhaps it was because the Black and White Female Mage had injured his spirit, perhaps because he had recently knocked his head unconscious, or maybe because he was still separated from Ash by a frosted glass, Igula just started spilling all the garbage in his heart.
"How about listening to the Gospel?" Ash suddenly said.
"Ah?"
"Look, we appeared on the future rankings, which means the Gospel believes we can definitely survive to the future. This is the time to trust in the power of the All-knowing Weaver, don’t think too much, the Gospel will help us."
Igula laughed bitterly in anger, "I won’t mention that we appeared on the rankings because of deception... but the problem is, I’m not even on those rankings!"
"So you have to believe in the Gospel, trust us," Ash said, "based on our friendship, if we are going to suffer in the future, how could we possibly let you enjoy the past alone?"
"...Your way of comforting people is really unique."
"I wouldn’t dare comfort a Spirit Mage, but even so, if you truly need us to do something, Harvey and I probably won’t refuse. Although we may not be able to keep up with your thinking, sharing your worries shouldn’t be a problem. As long as everyone is anxious together, you won’t feel so anxious alone."
"Hmm, you still have a very clear self-awareness being as hooved as you are."
"The Swindler, who just wrestled in the bathroom until he cried, shouldn’t be so arrogant... Liss?"
The bathroom door was abruptly pushed open, and Liss, dressed in a white maid outfit, rushed into the bathroom. But she slipped on a water stain on the floor, and with a loud slap, she fell on the tile floor, sliding up to the bathtub, her head bumping faintly against the bathtub, making a dull sound.
Ash: "..."
Igula: "..."
But Liss immediately got up, ran to the side of the bathtub, and asked anxiously, "Aunt Bokin, are you alright? Did you hurt yourself anywhere? Go find a Medical Practitioner quickly."
Igula was slightly startled, then he saw Ash’s face, which seemed to be smiling but not quite, as if saying ’you’re even worse than a child.’ He felt his face redden slightly and straightened Liss’s hair: "I’m fine."
Looking at the undiminished care on Liss’s face, Igula felt his heart melt like ice cream. Although he was still angry when he remembered it, the distress and irritability in the Swindler’s heart seemed to have diluted with the bath.
He sighed, "Ash, I won’t be able to go to the dining hall later, fetch me a breakfast."
"No problem." Ash opened the Gospel Book and sent a voice message: "Harvey, send a breakfast to Igula’s room."
Speaking of which, could Harvey even move? I recall he seemed to be bisected by that red-haired Female Mage...
At that moment, Igula suddenly noticed something. Holding Liss’s face, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Why do I feel like, Liss, you seem...familiar..."
The slightly guilty little witch and the nervous big sisters: "Σ(っ°Д°;)っ!"
