Chapter 451: Chapter 374 I’m Just a Bit Tired Lately
The two Gun Sword Masters looked at Sonia with blank expressions as she called for help and then immediately turned off the communication, cutting it off abruptly as if the heroine had just been caught by the arch-villain by accident.
"Umm, that," a Gun Sword Master tentatively asked, "Miss Sevi, what is this...?"
"Ah, it’s none of your business," Sonia waved dismissively, "You’re just doing your job, and I won’t blame you. But now that you’ve wasted two minutes of my time, someone has to be held accountable. As a student, I’m not in a position to demand an explanation from Truth University, so I’m having my professor come over. Although Professor Trozan is just a Holy Sanctuary Mage, she has some clout after all."
"Once the professor arrives, you just tell the truth about who sent you to intercept me, who wanted to restrict my right of passage. Professor Trozan may have a bad temper, but she won’t chop people up willy-nilly, you won’t be in any danger for your life."
The two Gun Sword Masters exchanged glances, operated on their Miracle Bracelets for a moment, and then cleared the way: "The management has approved your passage, please go ahead."
"No, no," Sonia shook her head and waved her hands, doubly rejecting the Gun Sword Masters’ goodwill, "I’ve already called for Professor Trozan’s help, and I need to wait here for her, to report the unfair treatment I’ve received. After all, this tactic can’t be used often, but once used, it must be made as effective as possible."
"Don’t worry, I don’t blame you, but I advise you not to be stubborn. For that little salary of yours, it’s not worth offending a Holy Sanctuary Mage."
"Miss Sevi, please calm down and don’t be so angry, we’ll just—"
"You know I’m angry, huh." Sonia said with a smile, "See, I’m this upset just because my time was wasted. Guess how much angrier Professor Trozan will be when she’s tricked into wasting her time coming here? I’m her student; she wouldn’t take her anger out on me. So, guess who she’s going to vent on?"
Lies.
Sonia’s relationship with Trozan was not that good, not to mention that Trozan hated being deceived the most; a scolding after returning was inevitable.
But Trozan also cared a lot about saving face, and Sonia’s access to the "Time Training Room" had been facilitated by her. Now that Sonia was blocked outside and had specifically called her over, Trozan, no matter how angry, must protect Sonia.
Even if Truth University intercepted Sonia according to its rules and procedures, it was futile; they, the Sword Masters, were not Prophet Mages. They believed in following the heart with the sword, freely authenticating the heart, and when it was time to draw their swords, they had to do so!
Perhaps it was because of the connection of spirit inherent to Sword Masters that Sonia was very sure that Trozan would definitely stand by her side and would never bow her head in compromise to Truth University.
Because what Trozan majored in was not the all-rounded Spirit Faction,
Nor the Water Technique Faction that conquers through softness,
But the unrelenting Sword Technique Faction!
If Trozan knew her student was in the right and still didn’t dare to stand up for her, she could forget about ever advancing the Sword Technique Faction to the Legendary Level!
Just as Sonia also faintly sensed, if she simply left in a meek and dejected manner, until the time she could take revenge, her Sword Technique Faction could not hope to advance to the Holy Sanctuary Level!
She suddenly had an epiphany: the cultivation of the Magic Faction was not just limited to battle and training, but also closely related to a mage’s social conduct, emotional expressions, and thought patterns.
Sonia had met many Sword Masters; though they might be either sloppy or neat, lively or gloomy, all without exception were anything but weak.
Even in defeat, the eyes of this group of Sword Masters were filled with a ’just you wait’ kind of Sharp Intent.
Thinking back, when she chose her Magic Faction in her first year, Sonia had picked the Water Magic Department because she felt that Water Mages best matched her ideal image: low-key yet elegant, gentle but not fragile, skilled in compromise but able to hold their ground.
If she were a Water Mage, perhaps she could have thought of a better, softer approach to resolve the ill will of others.
Unfortunately, the Observer insisted she practice swordsmanship.
After the Observer had her experience over and over the taste of using a sword to protect her dignity, she could no longer be that overly cautious Village Girl.
Even the Observer wouldn’t let me be wronged, why should I put up with being disrespected here!?
"Miss Sevi, don’t talk nonsense. We’ve already promptly reported your visit to the management; this delay is reasonable—"
"Sorry, we Sword Masters are just that uncivilized, save your reasons for the Holy Sanctuary Mage."
The Gun Sword Masters knew they could no longer persuade Sonia, and soon after, a young teaching assistant hurried over, "Miss Sevi—"
"Have I offended you?" Sonia cut him off directly.
"Of course not—"
"Then why are you stopping me from going to the training room?"
"You’re mistaken," the young teaching assistant said helplessly, "The school has recently stepped up security measures—"
"Okay."
Sonia interrupted him again, summoning a Technique Spirit: "This is ’Sincerity,’ a Technique Spirit. It changes color on its own when you lie in front of it. Now please repeat, am I mistaken or not?"
The young teaching assistant’s face changed color, forcing a smile, "It’s rare to see a Sword Master carrying a Spirit Technique Spirit..."
Without a word, Sonia just watched him coldly, and the young teaching assistant, after a moment of silence, sighed and said, "I’m just a small fry, please don’t make it difficult for me."
"Okay, I won’t make it difficult for you."
Sonia looked up at the sky, and the others, also sensing something, looked up. A streak of Sword Light darted across the blue sky, cutting through the white clouds and flying towards them. When it landed, it had become a woman Swordsman with wild hair.
