Chapter 447: Chapter 372: Belladett’s Mongfera (Advance for a Future League Leader’s Three More Updates)

Ash swiftly took two steps forward and then suddenly remembered something; he retraced his steps to Igula.

He lowered his voice and said, "By the way, don’t blame Liss either. It’s not her fault."

Igula raised an eyebrow and before he could justify himself, Ash had already gone over and hugged Liss.

Liss, looking utterly confused, glanced at Igula and then at Ash and asked, "Dad, are you going to... use me as an attack minion?" Saying this, she raised her little fists.

"This isn’t that game," Ash said. "Now, go use the ’Stare Attack’ on Aunt Bokin!"

Liss glared with her cute, wide eyes at Igula, but it had no effect.

Igula coldly looked at Liss, and the effect was outstanding.

Liss timidly buried her head in Ash’s chest, and Ash, full of anticipation, asked, "How about that?"

"Are you asking about how well your provocations worked? Very well."

"Hey!? Don’t you feel your heart melting? Every time Liss acts up and then looks at me like that, I can hardly bring myself to pull out my belt..."

"Don’t assume everyone’s heart is like ice cream like yours."

"Wait, Liss has many more talents—let me show you another—"

"That’s enough."

Igula reached out for Liss and carried her on his back; she instantly stiffened, her limbs went limp, and she dared not act out, "I’ll carry her."

Ash breathed a sigh of relief and waved his hand, "Then Liss, you need to behave and not mess with Aunt Bokin, okay!"

"Dad, Daddy..." Liss’s voice trembled as she sought help, but a glance from Igula made her quietly shut her mouth and lie trembling on his back—not to mention, whether it’s Meiwa’s bloodline or the shampoo, she smelled pretty good.

After a short while, the Funeral Ceremony party finally saw the upward staircase passage. Banjee asked, "Miss, are we camping or...?"

"Let’s find a short-term rental using someone else’s identity as soon as possible," Hanna suggested. "We are too exhausted right now, we need a good rest."

Suddenly, a voice came from above the passage, "My house is quite large. Why not come and rest at my place?"

Crack!

Suddenly, a secret door in the stairway passage opened, and several Gun Masters in gray bulletproof vests appeared above, aiming submachine guns at the Funeral Ceremony party.

Hanna and the others instinctively moved back out of the passage, but more Gun Masters emerged from the back, over a dozen cold steel gun muzzles targeting their flesh and blood bodies.

In an instant, they shifted from their happy state of eating cookies and singing songs to being trapped in a space with no room to maneuver, surrounded both front and back!

Ash glanced at the ambushers. Beyond the bulletproof vests and guns, the most distinctive feature of these men was the transparent protective masks they wore—masks that had two tubes connecting the nostrils to a compressor bottle on their backs, filled with cooling blue liquid, suddenly making them look like Bluebeards.

Kingdom of Gospel, Abyss Suppression Force, Bluebeard!

As one of the two major violent gangs of the Kingdom of Gospel, Ash had also learned about the formation of Bluebeard and Red Hat. The name Bluebeard came about because the Abyss of the past was full of mind-affecting Spirit Monsters and the oppressive, dark atmosphere of the Abyss required eradication Mages to constantly inhale "cooling blue liquid" to suppress excess emotions and relieve mental stress. The most effective method was to insert tubes into the nose, hence the nickname Bluebeard.

In modern times, although Bluebeard was now able to easily eradicate the monsters on the first level of the Abyss, Spirit Monsters still frequently emerged, and one could easily lose sanity to these Spirit Monsters. Thus, the Bluebeard equipment continued to be preserved as a material cultural heritage.

But for Ash and the others, the most important thing about Bluebeard was not their appearance, not their Combat Power, but—

They were all private armed forces!

"Hanna, long time no see."

Tap.

Tap.

Crisp footsteps echoed from above, and everyone saw a blue-haired girl slowly walking down. Her blue hair reached her waist, and she wore a black shawl on top of a white gold sleeveless long dress, with black arm guards and white gold long boots. She exuded both regal elegance and pure charm, appearing like an Angel coming to aid the Abyss.

The most eye-catching aspect was that her left eye was open, its purple-blue pupil seemingly drawing the gaze right into it; her right eye, however, was tightly shut, the eyelid bearing a jet-black mark resembling an eye, bizarre enough to make one take a second glance.

Hanna let out a long breath. "It really is you, Yvalin..."

Ash and others breathed a sigh of relief—so it was just the mistress’s close friend, almost scared us to death.

"It’s so late, what brings you to visit my home?"

Hanna didn’t hide her intentions. "I purposely used the Abyss Channel to come here—I originally planned to ask for your help."

Originally planned?

Ash and the others sensed something amiss, only to see the blue-haired girl nodding. "I guessed as much, Hanna, you indeed came to the right person—capture them!"

Bluebeard rushed forward and subdued them all; Ash and his company did not resist as the terrain was too disadvantageous, and Bluebeard wasn’t Red Hat; their income came from the consortium, without needing to consider the Gospel’s view of them—they would really shoot without mercy.

More critically, Hanna and her group had just survived a life-and-death fight not long ago.

Ash’s stomach was now a mess, and one of his arms was wrecked; Hanna, Banjee, and Igula had exhausted their Magic Power; the only one left with combat capability was Harvey, hence the gun muzzles aimed at him and the coffin were the most.

Harvey’s Mist Spirit was immune to physical damage, but a Gun Master had more than just physical attacks.

Ash and the others obediently accepted the restraints, having grown accustomed to such plot events—after all, they had been through this every ten days, and Ash now just wanted to find a "skip" button to quickly skip through the storyline.

Ash cast a resentful look at Hanna, only to find Hanna looking back at him with the same sentiment.

"Miss, aren’t you supposed to act only after meticulous planning?" Ash rattled the Magic Power lock on his hands. "Is this also within your plans?"

Hanna morosely said, "Plans can’t keep up with changes."

"Changes?"

Ash lifted his head to see the blue-haired girl squatting in front of him.

"You’re not very tall yourself." The blue-haired girl complained discontentedly. "What’s with the attitude?"

Ash blinked. "...I, I don’t have an attitude."

Then the blue-haired girl walked over to Harvey and scrutinized him for a moment. "Your skin is so dark, why is it so dark? Do you like conducting open-air autopsies?"

"I used to work in construction to earn money when I couldn’t afford corpses," Harvey replied.

For some reason, Ash felt an uneasy premonition. He exchanged glances with Igula, and saw a deep anxiety in the Swindler’s eyes.

"Alright, dear guests, though it’s a bit late, please allow me a moment to introduce myself."

"My name is Yvalin Belladett, the heiress to the Belladett consortium, ranked first on the ’Mongfera Beauty List,’ third on the ’National Outstanding Youth List,’ and first on the ’Mongfera Charity List’... My resume is quite lengthy, you can check it out when you return."

Belladett...

Belladett!?

"Yes, yes, that Belladett."

Yvalin seemed to be able to hear their thoughts, or perhaps their shock was plainly visible, as she blinked her left eye. "Yes, that ’all a bunch of shorties,’ ’unfit to inherit ancestral legacy,’ ’seeking eternal peace’ Belladett."

I’m pretty sure I never said ’dead’ shorties... Ash could only slander silently, not daring to voice it.

Yvalin tiptoed in a twirl and bowed to the prisoners below:

"Welcome to Belladett’s Mongfera."
