Chapter 445: Chapter 371 Are You Looking for Trouble?_2
After a moment, Hanna suddenly asked, "What kind of power does Mr. Harvey have in the footage?"
Banjee replied, "Definitely not an Angel, but to wield a five-winged Divine Being with a Mortal Body, he’s either Legendary or at least of the Holy Domain, right?"
"Holy Domain or Legendary..." Hanna exhaled, "The other possibilities could be a misjudgment by the Weaving Festival, but on this point, its judgment is probably correct."
Their shock was not without reason; as Mages themselves, they could fully discern the height of Harvey’s Realm. If their Magic Faction was still considered ’Magic,’ then Harvey was already touching the edge of ’truth.’
Harvey didn’t treat the Necromancy Faction merely as a tool, but as a methodology, aiding him in understanding the world, understanding himself. In fact, every Magic Faction represents the paths Mages take to explore the world outwardly and themselves inwardly.
Even Ash, the husky that had slipped into the wolves’ pack of Mages, could sense this vaguely.
Take the Sword Technique Faction and the Sword Maiden, for example; he didn’t know if it was the Sword Maiden’s personality that made her adept at swordsmanship, or swordsmanship that influenced her personality. But the result was that the Sword Maiden was becoming increasingly sharp and decisive. Having spent a lot of time with the Sword Maiden, Ash always felt that if he did something wrong, she wouldn’t think twice before impaling him with her sword.
But the majority of Mages couldn’t realize this, or even if they did, they couldn’t compensate for it because if your elevation isn’t high, you just can’t see such vast landscapes. You can only speculate through others’ descriptions.
However, this didn’t prevent Hanna and the others from hearing the grand scope in Harvey’s words, because they themselves could glimpse the splendor, so they knew his magnificent words were no lie.
Now, the only things hindering Harvey from becoming more powerful were time, reality, and the Void Realm. For him, the bottlenecks of the Realm Faction no longer existed.
Therefore, Harvey could be sure that he wouldn’t change his heart; the Necromancy Faction to him was almost equivalent to a political stance, where loyalty that isn’t absolute is absolutely no loyalty. If his heart did change, it would only mean he had found a Magic Faction (methodology) more suited for himself, and he would certainly give up the Necromancy Faction.
"Could Gospel have predicted it wrong?" Ash muttered to himself.
"Is there a possibility," said Liss, holding Ash’s hand, "that Uncle Harvey was actually compelled?"
"Hmm?"
"It’s like the question Dad asked me before; if I had a lever in my hand to switch a tram’s tracks, if the tram continued to run, it would run over five people, but if I switched tracks, only one person would be run over..."
Hanna pondered, "Both choices result in a bad outcome, so you have to choose the lesser of two evils..."
Banjee looked at Ash, "Do you normally talk about this stuff with Liss?"
Though his ability to educate was being questioned, Ash replied calmly, "Compared to my question, Liss’s answer was actually more brilliant. She said she always values fairness; running over five people is unfair to those five, running over one is unfair to that one, so running over everyone would be fair, which means the tracks should be connected."
"..." The housekeeper boy could only reply with high emotional intelligence, "The pupil surpasses the master..."
"Just come clean, are you two really father and daughter?" Hanna glanced at them, "I won’t blame you for hiding it."
"So it seems, in the future, something so vile that even Harvey can’t stand it might occur, and that’s why Gospel thinks Harvey would rather create a family of the undead to take revenge on society," Ash speculated. "So revolting that even a Necromancer can’t stand it... Harvey, do you have any clue what it could be?"
Harvey thought about it, "Like... the Kingdom of Gospel implementing cremation for all citizens? This waste of resources would indeed infuriate me."
"Damn, that’s so you."
However, they weren’t really concerned about ’Harvey becoming a source of all evil,’ firstly because they knew this was the result of deceiving Gospel, and secondly, it had nothing to do with them—Harvey wasn’t turning them into undead creatures.
There was no need to mention Ash and the others; they weren’t even locals. As for Hanna and Banjee... when Hanna cross-locked Ash earlier, she was merely questioning him about his closeness with Qinna. As for Harvey turning Senheiser into a Mist Spirit, she had no issues with it at all.
Compared to Harvey’s Necromancy plans, everyone was actually more concerned about what despicable things might happen in the future that even a Necromancer couldn’t tolerate.
Moreover, one of the Corpse King of Blood Moon’s traits is ’Immunity to Miracle Weaving,’ which gave Ash a strange speculation.
Watching Hanna and others discussing in front, Ash suddenly realized that the Swindler at the back of the group seemed to have been silently walking with his head down, without expressing any opinion. He thought about it, then patted Liss’s back, "Go to your sister Hanna. Remember to hold her hand tight; if you get lost in the Abyss, I won’t come back to find you."
"Tch." Liss pursed her lips and went to grab Hanna’s sleeve, "Auntie..."
"Call her sister." Hanna flicked Liss’s forehead.
Ash slowed his pace and walked alongside Igula, suddenly saying, "I think you might have run away."
"Hmm?" Igula asked with his eyes, ’What the hell are you talking about?’
"Gospel probably thinks you will run off to another country in the future, causing havoc and breaking the law, hence you didn’t appear in the video footage," Ash said. "Besides, didn’t you say after making money you wanted to go on ruin exploration? Harvey and I definitely have no interest in traveling, so it’s only natural that we go our separate ways."
