Chapter 349 - Chapter 349 Chapter 295 Cunning Daughter vs. Cold-blooded

Chapter 349: Chapter 295: Cunning Daughter vs. Cold-blooded Mother (Third Update) Chapter 349: Chapter 295: Cunning Daughter vs. Cold-blooded Mother (Third Update) “In this demon cave filled with foulness, the only gain I had was meeting my aunt.”

“I get along well with my aunt. She’s not a lunatic like Qinna. My original plan was to take you all to seek refuge with my aunt, and then continue here with the plan to desecrate the Divine Lord.”

“Due to Vatican Mura’s extremely xenophobic nature, as long as we can hide within one of its clans, even the Red Hats wouldn’t be able to harm us at all. Even if we all are placed on the future blacklist, we can still rest easy here.”

“Vatican Mura has six major clans, also known as the Six Emblems of Vatican Mura. The Six Emblems divide the entire city, with information not flowing between them, each having a separate administrative team, which gives us the chance to exploit any loophole we find.”

This plan suddenly seemed flawless, but there was a very obvious loophole that even Ash picked up on.

But they didn’t continue.

For outside the detention room, the sound of high-heeled boots approached.

Creak–

The heavy metal door slowly opened, and a pair of slender, beautiful legs stepped into the quiet detention room, the crisp tapping sound as though stepping directly on everyone’s hearts. A tall figure, beautiful appearance, and arrogant expression–the Red Hat Elf appeared in the prisoners’ line of sight, stealing away all their color.

Several Red Hats opened the cell, and the Red Hat Elf stepped in, glanced around, and didn’t speak.

The always calm and collected young lady, as if meeting her arch-nemesis, simply couldn’t maintain her composure, “When are you letting us out? According to the rules, without substantial criminal evidence approved by the Gospel Book, you can detain us for no more than 48 hours.”

“48 hours?” It was as if she heard a joke, Qinna Senheiser snickered, “Certainly, generally no more than 48 hours, otherwise it would breach the law.”

“But…” She bent slightly, looking down closely at her blood daughter, “As the captain of the Red Hats, I can put forward a request to the Gospel Book, certifying that you all have serious criminal suspicions, extending the detention limit to 170 hours.”

“And then, your main activities for the previous thirty days were in Azura, coming to Vatican Mura counts as a crime in a different territory, extending the detention time by another 720 hours.”

“I can, within the legal and regulatory limits allowed by the Gospel, lawfully detain you all for over a month.” The Red Hat Elf sneered, “Did you think only you pests knew how to exploit the rules? Red Hats don’t exploit the rules simply because they disdain to stoop to your level, the level of parasites.”

Hanna’s mouth twitched, forcibly restraining her anger, “Qinna, I didn’t come looking for you, you–”

“But I came looking for you, you rude ingrate.”

Slap!

Almost before anyone could react, Hanna was harshly slapped. She groaned, falling to the ground, half her face almost numb, and had just spit out a mouthful of blood when Qinna picked her up and then–

“Ah!”

Qinna delivered a direct knee strike to the young girl’s abdomen, Hanna felt several of her ribs break, her organs squeezed, she could hardly catch her breath!

The young lady yelled as she fell to the ground, struggling to stand and raise her chained hands in defense, but the Red Hat Elf didn’t hold back, delivering a powerful whip-kick with her high-heeled boots!

Boom!

The Magic Chains were forcibly shattered, and Hanna was kicked hanging onto the wall, the immense impact numbing her entire body, her vision filling with bursts of colors, her ears ringing nearly to deafness!

“Stop.”

Qinna pulled out a handkerchief, bending over to wipe the blood off the tip of her shoe, paying no mind to Hanna groaning and vomiting blood. She looked toward the only cloaked figure in the cell daring to speak out, raising an eyebrow, “I remember Ash Heath is the man from her portrait… Are you her man?”

Ash covered Liss’s eyes, licked the “sweet words and a hidden dagger” in his mouth, while thinking of the best moment to strike, he spoke, “What, you want me to call you mother-in-law?”

“If you went to be a comedian, you might actually make it to the list,” Qinna calmly commented, pulling a hand cannon, elegant like black and white piano keys, from her waist, and Ash instinctively covered Liss’s ears–

Bang!

Buzz————

A gun bullet struck the wall next to Ash’s ear, grazing it. The violent sound of the gunshot momentarily pierced through Ash’s eardrums, and a buzzing rang in his mind. Although his solid combat training allowed Ash to barely maintain his sanity, the fear of brushing past death gripped his heart like a sharp claw.

Strength? The opponent was a Three-winged Holy Sanctuary Mage.

Status? The opponent represented justice as a Red Hat.

Situation? The opponent was the knife, and he was the fish on the chopping board!

When his hearing returned, he heard Qinna say coldly, “This is the first warning. Not a warning about your disrespect towards me, but a warning for your disrespect towards the Family Head of Senheiser–In this world, besides the Gospel, no one can speak to the Family Head of Senheiser in a commanding tone, no one, not even a king on earth.”

“Moreover, this is also re-education for stupidity. Kid, didn’t you notice that Banjee hasn’t spoken?”

Ash was startled and looked towards Banjee, who had been silent.

Right, the person who cared most about Hanna here must be the housekeeper Banjee, but why hadn’t Banjee said a word in protest when Hanna was being treated this way? Could it be…

“Because he also knows that they are not in the right this time.” Qinna scoffed coldly, “Don’t be foolishly misled by this stinky girl.”

Ash tried to suppress the fear in his heart, pressed down Liss’s hand which was touching his ear, and could only utter powerless and pale moral high-ground, “Even if you have issues with your daughter, you shouldn’t abuse her like this, she is not your property–”

“Who said I hit her as a mother?”

Qinna grabbed Hanna’s neck, pushing her against the wall–standing taller than Hanna, especially with her high boots on–they were face to face at a close distance, but there was not a trace of warmth in their pupils, only coldness and resentment.

“Nona has told me all about your plan,” Qinna said coldly, “You come to Vatican Mura with great fanfare, then reveal your blood relation with me, making everyone believe I am sheltering you. Then you secretly join other Emblem families. Then Senheiser has to face the Red Hats, the office, the other Five Emblems families, and the Yisu Royal Family alone, becoming the target of the whole nation… And you can comfortably watch from the best view on the balcony, laughing as Senheiser becomes the sacrificial pawn in your plan.”

“Didn’t you say you didn’t want to be my daughter anymore? How come you know to come back to mommy to clean up your mess after causing trouble? I don’t recall teaching you that, or is this the education from Doran, huh?”

“Pu!”

Hanna spat a mouthful of blood onto Qinna’s face, breathlessly said, “You… must not… insult Doran!”

Qinna glanced at the blood smeared by her eyes, her eyes narrowing slightly, her tone unvarying, “I am not standing here as your mother, nor as a Red Hat, but as the Family Head of Senheiser, demanding this traitor who plotted against Senheiser to explain herself.”

“I will give you three sentences,” she said coldly, “If they do not convince me, then you will spend two human menstrual cycles here.”

Ash and the others were dumbfounded–they had no idea about Hanna’s specific plan, but since Banjee did not refute Qinna’s testimony, it meant Hanna indeed initially wanted to use her mother’s family as a shield. Cunning daughter versus cold-blooded mother, this was truly not a battle they could meddle in.

“After the Weaving Festival ends… I will join Senheiser.”

“One.”

“Whether successful or not, I will give you all of Doran’s secrets, including the loopholes accumulated over the past few centuries and this Desecrating God Plan woven together by several generations!”

“Two.”

“That’s it, this is my bottom line!” Hanna gritted her teeth, “Go on, hand me over, let everyone know that Senheiser can’t even protect its own daughter!”

Qinna glanced at her, then released her hand, allowing her to slide down the wall. Then the elegant elf Red Hat skillfully took out a contract paper from her sleeve and unfolded it.

“Sign the contract.”

Ash and the others suddenly realized that Hanna’s mode of controlling employees through contracts, along with her mix of intimidation and deceit, was perhaps a crucial part of her childhood education.
