Chapter 309 - Chapter 309 Chapter 265 Honored and Admired by All
Chapter 309: Chapter 265: Honored and Admired by All! Chapter 309: Chapter 265: Honored and Admired by All! Clang!
Such a quick strike! Sonia hadn’t even reacted yet, but ‘herself’ had already swung a sword toward the Illusion Demon.
However, ‘herself’ only managed to slash at a shadow. The Illusion Demon had already fled outside the palace, and its figure quickly faded to transparency.
She looked at Sonia, her beautiful and adorable face full of venomous mockery: “Why are you angry? Isn’t this the battle phase you’ve been eagerly awaiting? Come on then, I’ve prepared a special opponent for you out back. If a raging Shadow Evil Dragon doesn’t satisfy your filthy appetite, then surely the Eternal World necromancers gathered by its wrath will make sure you die thrilled here.”
“Is that your intention or your master’s?”
“Ask me that question after you crawl out of the Eternal Abyss.”
As she spoke, the Illusion Demon completely merged into the air and disappeared, leaving ‘herself’ no time to chase this vile woman. The Shadow Evil Dragon, now stripped of its vertical pupils, couldn’t wait to unleash its fury.
“Hmph.”
Sonia stared at the Shadow Evil Dragon, which looked like the embodiment of the apocalypse, as ‘herself’ scoffed, her enraged laugh laced with sarcasm: “Guess there’s no avoiding effort where it’s due.”
“Isn’t it just cutting through Eternal World? How hard could it be?”
“Illusion Demon, this grudge… I’ll remember it!”
The Shadow Evil Dragon roared, its claws teeming with dark lightning. Endless waves of chaotic darkness surged forward!
“Crawling worm.” Sonia tightened her grip on her sword’s hilt: “I just created a new Miracle. Time to test my blade.”
“With your death, I’ll prove my skill.”
“You should feel honored.”
In the next moment, the Shadow Evil Dragon was cut into countless pieces.
…
…
“Sonia, if you win, drinks are on me!”
Sonia snapped back to reality, realizing she was already back in Flash Track Hall.
Reonie was energetically cheering her on, while Tida sat atop the Alchemy Bear’s shoulder, as though the preceding adventure had been nothing but an illusion.
But the Red-haired Swordswoman knew it wasn’t an illusion; it was an exceptionally precious experience.
She let out a sigh of relief–fortunately, those memories only lasted a moment and wouldn’t affect the battle for the top in reality. It proved that the Observer did not harbor ill intentions toward her.
Although she had wrongly blamed the Observer, the Village Girl felt zero remorse. After all, it wasn’t her fault he hadn’t explained things earlier.
“Were you zoning out just now?” Tida raised her eyebrow: “Thinking of surrendering?”
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” Sonia replied, “If you surrender now, it’ll save you from losing too miserably later.”
“Seriously, sister, you’ve got such a sharp tongue.” Tida let out a cold scoff and suddenly bit into her small hand, allowing the Great Bear to lick her fresh blood. The taste of iron awakened a frenzy in the Great Bear, which roared ferociously, its eyes bleeding red as its body expanded further, charging toward Sonia!
Miracle, Blood Frenzy!
Sonia faced the Alchemy Bear charging like it could swallow her whole, though her thoughts remained on the earlier scene.
Confronted by the Shadow Evil Dragon, whose size dwarfed her thousands of times over, the Sword Demon had cleaved it apart with a single move.
Sonia couldn’t forget that brilliant strike; she even wanted to replicate it.
She had fully experienced the Miracle’s activation process while within the Sword Demon’s body, and as it happened, she almost possessed all the Technique Spirits needed as lower-tier substitutes–a coincidence carefully arranged by the Observer’s memory trigger.
But it was only “almost.” There was one critical Technique Spirit Sonia couldn’t replace. The Miracle couldn’t be performed naturally.
Yet strangely, Sonia felt an intense premonition–she was convinced she could summon that Technique Spirit directly!
Though she had never studied or cultivated it, with only a superficial understanding of its name, she still felt sure she could do it! That sudden surge of confidence resembled a student walking into an exam knowing the answers ahead of time!
As the Alchemy Bear closed the distance, Sonia chose to trust the Observer’s judgment.
And believed in her own capability!
Clang!
The Red-haired Swordswoman’s eyes gleamed with battle intent as she silently drew her sword!
Wave Motion Sword!
Moon Silk!
Rapid Stream!
And then…
Professor Trozan in the audience froze, watching as a Technique Spirit took shape on Sonia’s shoulder, triggering a surge of her own magic power, stirring it into a boiling frenzy! Other students also sensed something amiss. Though their perception wasn’t as attuned as Professor Trozan’s, they could tell Sonia was affecting them!
That formation pattern, that vast resonance of knowledge… it could only be summoning a Technique Spirit!
She was summoning a Technique Spirit mid-battle?!
But quickly, Professor Trozan apologized to herself for her limited imagination–Sonia wasn’t merely summoning a new Technique Spirit. She was preparing to immediately use that new Technique Spirit for a Miracle!
As its Two-winged form fully unfolded, the new Technique Spirit ‘Sword Shadow’ emerged utterly from Sonia’s knowledge!
‘Sword Shadow,’ outwardly resembling a cool and detached woman clad entirely in black, quietly stood at Sonia’s side, turning her shadow into a weapon!
In the next instant, countless threads sliced through the Alchemy Bear’s massive body, each thread sharper than a blade, reducing the bear to nineteen pieces in a flash!
The rampaging bear exploded into bursts of blood, its remains scattering across the ground!
Miracle, Blood Flower Water Moon!
Tida, stunned by the sudden strike, was flung off as the bear disintegrated, tumbling twice across the stage. She scrambled to her feet, inspecting the blood staining her body, then turned only to meet Sonia’s piercing gaze. Reflexively, she stepped back.
But that retreat made Tida utterly ashamed and enraged. Her face flushed crimson, and Sonia thought she might spring forward to attack her. Instead, Tida spun around and left the stage, tossing behind her a single remark:
“See you at the league!”
Tida’s greatest asset–the Alchemy Bear–had been rendered irrecoverable. Staying on the stage any longer would only humiliate her further.
But as Trajectory University’s genius Alchemist, she vowed that the next time they met in the league, she would show Sonia, the old hag, exactly what a war machine was!
“What… what just happened?”
“Did Sonia defeat Trajectory’s top rank with one move?”
“No, you’re all focusing on the wrong thing. Didn’t you see Sonia summon a Two-winged Technique Spirit during battle?! A Two-winged Technique Spirit! Two-winged!”
“Can someone remind me when Miss Sevi became a mage?”
“Less than a month ago. To be precise, April 12. You’re welcome.” Reonie grinned.
“A month to elevate her Sword Technique Faction to Golden Level? A month to go from Mage Apprentice to Two-winged Mage?”
“Professor Trozan, are you still accepting students? What do you think of me?”
“I’m not accepting any more students,” Professor Trozan replied. “Sonia will be my last student–because I nearly feel like killing her in her infancy myself.”
Only now did Sonia have time to examine her new Technique Spirit.
Seeing ‘Sword Shadow’ with its Two-winged form made her pause for a moment, her cheeks flushing red, as though unable to hold back an eruption of laughter.
She had summoned a Two-winged Technique Spirit on her own!
That meant her Sword Technique Faction had officially reached Golden Level, officially signifying her as a Two-winged Mage in society!
Finally, she could proudly flaunt her Two-winged Mage status!
Ha! Tonight, those jealous fools behind the Veil would probably cry themselves to sleep, gnawing on their handkerchiefs!
And she was only a first-year student. If Sword Flower University didn’t promote her now, they’d have no excuse. Money, fame, status–every resource would target her, every publicity plan would revolve around her!
If Sonia decided to star in a blockbuster drama, Sword Flower University would surely bend the rules to fulfill her wishes. Releasing an album? That’s practically effortless!
An instant win over Trajectory’s top rank, storming into Time Continent within a month!
By tomorrow, when the Star of Glory rises, the entirety of Jiale City would chant my name!
Adoration and acclaim, all eyes on me!
“The match is decided!” the announcer proclaimed. “The victor, Sword Flower’s top rank, Sonia Sevi!”
